  Everyone writes about how wonderful Britax carseats are, especially the reversible ones that work great for after the baby outgrows the infant car seat. I want to write about an aspect of Britax that isn’t as well known: their strollers. Specifically, the Britax Vigour stroller is a fantastic, modern looking stroller at about half the price of the other high end strollers (that it looks a lot like, btw).

  I absolutely love these leather book covers from Engrave Your Book. They make the best gift for new parents as well. There is something absolutely stunning about a photo of a new baby captured this way. I have given these as a gift twice, and really enjoyed it. The customer service at Engrave Your Book is fantastic, and the prices reasonable as well (you can get an engraved cover for about $35).

The stroller comes with a detachable seat for when your child outgrows the infant car seat. The larger seat is comfortable and has a wide range of motion, from upright to almost flat. The stroller is compact – very compact – to be as heavy duty as it is. It is about 2/3 the size of a standard Graco stroller. Done in all black and metallic colors, it has a sleek look to go with the sleek price – aorund $450. We have kept ours outside on the porch for two years, and it looks no worse for the wear. This is a well designed piece of machinery – no plastic in these parts. If you are looking for a lightweight, nice-looking stroller for your “main” stroller, this one gets five stars.

Kissy Kissy brand clothes are one of those wonderful treats that make up for all the long nights, lack of sleep, and 16 diaper changes a day when you have a newborn. Incredibly soft and very well made, Kissy Kissy clothes are just fun. Fun to touch, fun to fold, fun to dress your new baby in.

They also happen to make a fantastic gift. They are usually a little pricier than normal baby clothes, so giving a new mom one of these items is a real treat. They are great for a baby boy gift or a baby girl gift, and if your gift recipient is waiting to see what the baby will be as a surprise, the Kissy Kissy Premiere line in all white is a gorgeous and generous choice.

My only word of advice on this item is that they run small once you wash and dry them (theoretically, you could hand wash and air dry these as the label recommends, but I never really had time to roll like that). It is just easier to buy a size larger than you need and throw it in the washing machine. That said, they stand up really well to repeat wear and can be used for the next baby in your life. So consider this a worthwhile clothing investment, and treat yourself!
