Cupcakes Actually celebrates the tailgate. We want to help you kick-off the tailgate season on the right foot. Order custom cupcakes frosted with your favorite team’s colors along with our take on burgers and dogs. Show your team pride by bringing a box of sweet treats to your tailgate, whether it be Redskin Nation at FedEx Field or you local school. We want to make your tailgate Tailgreat! Custom orders require some time so please call us on Monday to place your order for a weekend game.

We snagged a bite of the jaw dropping action for the much anticipated Discovery Shark Week by offering “Shark Attack” cupcakes. These tasty shark bites featured an ocean blue vanilla buttercream frosting with a fondant shark fin eerily swimming on top a moist vanilla cupcake. As apart of the shark week celebration popular blogs such as “I Spy Things DC” and “Dining in DC” featured the cupcakes in their Shark Week finale roundups. Be sure to check back next August for our Jaws-inspired treats!

Enjoy our one of a kind decorative designs that are sure to brighten your day. We are celebrating the rest of summer with our tasty kid-themed toppers including next week’s Cookie & Cream cupcakes and PB&J cupcakes being featured the week of August 23rd. For those already gearing up for football season, we have your official tailgate treats to show your team pride! Our delectable cupcakes are topped with an ode to the game. Designs feature tailgate favorites such as hot dogs and hamburgers and range to gear-centric designs including goal posts, helmets, footballs and jerseys – all available in the hues of your home team. Tailgate cupcakes are available only through special order by calling 571-522-6315.

Sue & Jen went on the Parker & Parker Sports Radio Talk Show on Sunday, to surprise Alex Parker w/custom Father’s Day cupcakes. We surprised him with all of his favorite things! We did some edible image discs of his favorite groups (U2, The Police and Taylor Swift) his alma mater, The University of Delaware, a miniature set of Tama Drums (made out of fondant by our awesome designer Jenna) and two princess crowns for his beautiful daughters. He was truly surprised!!!

How exciting! We’ve been rockin’ Fairfax Corner for over a year now! We really have the best customers and we are loving our jobs of making you happy with cupcakes worthy of snob approval. So – thanks to all of you.

This is an oldie, but a goodie. About a year ago, we were featured on Fox 5 in Washington, DC. We talked about Cupcakes Actually, and even gave a demonstration on how we prepare our Strawberry Fields cupcakes. Enjoy the show.
