One of the reasons that Caribbean cruise vacations are so popular, is because of the weather, and you can bet that it is going to be warm just about all year round. The snowbirds love booking their cruise vacations for the winter just for this reason alone, because it is going to be a lot better than the cold that they are used to back home. So with that being said, where exactly do Caribbean cruises go to?

Well there are two ports located in Mexico, those are Cancun and Cozumel, where you are sure to have a great time in these wonderful vacation atmospheres. Other ports of call in the western carribean are Jamaica, Dominican Republic and the Grand Cayman.

Some southern caribbean ports of call range from Trinidad, Barbados, and St Lucia. On the eastern side of the Caribbean you can expect to see ports from the Bahamas and Bermuda, as there are several ports that are accessed by cruise lines in these two tourist countries. You can also bet money that your cruise line is going to have Puerto Rico on the line up too, as well as St. Croix, along with other parts of the US and British Virgin Islands.

Of course there are more ports of call than this when we are talking about Caribbean cruise vacations, but it really all depends on what type of cruise line it is that you plan to book your trip with.

Some carribean cruises will have guided tours that will show you all of the best site-seeing upon arrival at the port of interest, while others will just give you a brochure and you can be off to venture on your own, whether you want to see the ports finest dining, hit up the hippest night club, or shop until your credit card is maxed out, whatever it is that your little heart desires on your cruise vacation.

One of the biggest Caribbean cruise lines around is the Royal Caribbean, though they are definitely not the cheapest, they seem to have the most variety of vacation packages available. Some others that are pretty big are Princess Cruises and of course Carnival.

Just remember there are nearly 100 ports of call in the Caribbean, so when you are sitting down planning your cruise vacation, make sure that you speak with a cruise planner and make sure that you are going to be reaching your port that you want to go to. Do not depend or rely on internet bookings that say you are going to be arriving at a specific port, the page may not be updated, and things can always change.

This is why it is so important to make sure that you talk to your cruise planner, or the person on the phone and make sure that you are going to arrive at your dream destination and make the most out of your cruise vacation.

We all know that taking a cruise vacation can be something that you and the family will remember for a life time, but what about if you have kids. Kids can get restless and they can get bored very easily if they are not entertained, while many cruises offer activities that are specifically for kids, none of them can compare to a Disney Cruise.

Yep, good ol Walt Disney has two cruise ships at the moment in the Disney fleet, and they are both ported at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The names of the Disney cruise ships are the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic. In 2011 the Disney cruise lines has plans to relocate the Disney Wonder to a port in Los Angeles, which is okay because there are currently two more ships that are going to be added to the Disney cruise lines by the year 2012, and both of those cruise ships will be in Florida also.

The names of these ships will be the Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream, and they will be able to hold 4,000 passengers and have over 1,200 state rooms, compared the the 800+ that the current Disney cruise ships have. So there is much too offer in the near future, but as of now I will be going over what there is to do on the current cruise ships that are commissioned and running.

Both of the cruise ships are built almost identical, with a few differences in restaurants and stuff. You can expect to see all of your favorite Disney cartoon characters when you are aboard a Disney cruise, and you can expect non-stop entertainment throughout the day and throughout the night. The only thing you will not be able to do that you can do on other cruise lines is gamble. There are no casinos on a Disney cruise as it is a theme for kids and family, not gambling.

You can expect superb food on a Disney cruise, what else would you expect any way though. Some of the restaurants that you can find on the Disney Wonder are as follows; The Palo Restaurant, this is for adults only, and they serve top of the line gourmets from Northern Italy. Animators Palate – You will be able to see colors changing and cartoons on the wall here, they have full menus and kids menus here, the children will love this place. You will also have no problem finding an ice cream station on a Disney cruise, as they have them almost everywhere you go similar to Disney World.

If you are into movies, they have a movie theatre that can hold up to 900 people. There are also several other activities for toddlers, kids, teens and adults such as the Oceaneer clubs for kids that are 3-7 years old and the Teens-Only Getaway. There is also something else that is very special about a Disney Cruise, and that is the private island that they own.

This private island is called Castaway Cay, it is located in the Bahamas and is exclusively for the Disney Cruise Lines only. There is a family beach on the island, as well as the pirate ship that was in the movie Priates Of The Caribbean. Besides looking around the ship and fun in th esun at the beach, you can also enjoy bike riding on the trails they have on the island, snorkling and shopping. So far there has been over 25 million dollars put into the island, and they are still not done with it yet, as only 55 acres are being used out of the 1,000 acres the island has, so you can expect many upgrades to Castaway Cay from Disney Cruise Lines in the future.

If you have been following this blog on cruise vacations then you already have an idea of most of the major cruise lines that are out there and available. As I will try and cover all of these to make sure that you and your family can plan the perfect cruise vacation. So today I will be going over Princess Cruise Ships. They are a major cruise line and I am here to give you some information on this great and wonderful cruise line.

Princess Cruise Ships can be found in many parts of the world, some of the destinations are Europe, Alaska, Asia, Tahiti, Australia, Hawaii, Canada, Mexican Riviera, The Panama Canal, South America and lets not forget everyone’s favorite cruise vacation the Caribbean.

There are many wonderful services that you can find when you are on a Princess cruise ship that can also be found on the majority of cruise ships that are out there. Some of these services are free with your ticket, and some of them are a bit costly but you are on a vacation and should spoil yourself anyways. You can enjoy a spa that also has professional masseuses, you can enjoy some shopping at one of the gift stores on board or even be apart of an auction.

If you have young ones with you on the cruise they offer a full day babysitting service so that you can get some privacy. There are night clubs, bars, and there are also some top of the line casinos that have everything from Bingo to Blackjack. If you are someone that has to workout everyday there are usually a couple of gyms on board a Princess Cruise Ship that is staffed with professional personal trainers.

You just seen the list of the ports the Princess Cruise Ships can stop by, so you can bet that there are plenty of shore excursions that are available for you, most of them come with a guide to.

Yes these services can be found on many cruise lines, but the unique thing about the Princess Cruise fleet is they have cruises that are specifically designed for singles. This is called the Love Boat Singles Cruise and in my opinion is one of the best services that are out there. On the Love Boat you can enjoy cocktail parties and many other activities that are mainly geared towards singles. If you do not like going out in town or meeting up with someone through an internet dating site this is a very easy way for you to meet someone, you can make friends and possibly even find the love of your life.

With all of the different types of cruises the Princess Cruise Ships offer if can be a difficult decision on which one is right for you. Call around and ask, there are staff members that will take down your specific needs and destinations and they can find the perfect Princess Cruise Ship for you.

What would a blog about cruise ship vacations be without giving Carnival Cruise Lines a post, a mention, a pat on the back. We have already discussed all of the fun you can have on a cruise, all of the amenities you can expect, but this post I will let the light shine on Carnival Cruises, as they are a highly respectable, popular and very professional cruise line service.

Think about waking up in your cabin on the ship, the slow rocking of the ship lets you want to sleep in, but the freshly brewed coffee that is delivered right to your cabin along with breakfast is pushing you to get up, you can already smell the coffee on a Carnival Cruise.

After breakfast you will have to make the difficult decision of what you want to do next. You could sit up on the top deck and catch some beautiful scenery under the sun, or you could take a dip in the sparkling pool, or maybe just lay back and relax in one of the Jacuzzis that are available on the Carnival Cruise Lines, such tough decisions.

If your muscles are feeling tense you could get a massage from one of the professional masseuse that are on deck of a Carnival cruise. If you are one that likes to party, there are usually a handful of different night clubs that offer dancing and drinking. If you are feeling up on your luck, you could head on down to the casino to play a hand of black jack, or whatever game you are feeling lucky at.

These are the Carnival Fun Ships, you can refer to them as a floating resort, and they offer fun for people of all ages. Carnival cruises are based out of both the Americas and Europe. Some of the destinations are Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, The Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama Canal, New England and Europe. As you can see there are many destinations that you can pick from for your personal preference so that you can have the best cruise vacation possible.

During the day when on board a Carnival Cruise, you can enjoy activities such as swimming and tanning, jogging on the outside track, golfing, or dancing in group activities along with many others.

The dining aboard a Carnival Cruise is nothing less than spectacular. The menus at the restaurants have everything you can think of from fresh lobsters, to the most exotic wines, to other types of casual food such as pizza and cheeseburgers, as well as a handful of kids menus for the youngsters.

There are also professional trainers available on Carnival Cruises if you want to stay in shape, or just let loose some steam. They also have spas to where you can sit back and rest your muscles after an intense workout, or if you just want the ultimate relaxation feeling. You can sign up for on board dance classes, aerobics classes, and many more special programs from professional fitness trainers on a Carnival Cruise.

Just like many other cruise lines Carnival would surely not forget about the kids and the teenagers. Available arcades with the newest games, talent shows, parties and dancing, along with many more activities are there for teenagers. The amount of activities there are onboard a carnival cruise for teens and toddlers are almost limitless.

For the adults, you can try your luck at the casino. All the games you can find on Indian reservations, Atlantic city and Vegas will be seen on a Carnival cruise casino. Who knows, you many even get lucky enough to where you can win back enough money to pay for your entire Carnival Cruise!

So if you are still pondering on what cruise line you should take, and if you have the money to spend, then you will surely have a once in a life time experience while on board a Carnival Cruise.

If you are a parent then you know that spending time with your children is the best thing in the world. All you want them to do is be happy, and if you could show them an experience that they will remember the rest of their lives would you do it? Think about the stars shining, the waves crashing up against the bow of the ship, children laughing, Mickey Mouse and friends are all there too on a wonderful Disney cruise.

Going on a Disney cruise vacation can be one of the best things that you can do to spend high quality time with your kids. You can let them be apart of something special and see the seas in an envirement that is specifically designed and set up for young children. Disney is magic, it is absolutely the best entertainment for kids, as many people will stand behind.

The Disney cruise lines are ideal for any family that has young children. They are based out of Florida, and at the time being Disney has 2 cruise ships, and they are both very big. These ships are called Disney Magic, and Disney Wonder. They have different designs but the activities that take place on the cruise are mainly the same. There are many programs for kids of all ages onboard a Disney Cruise. You can expect activities such as story telling, painting, pictures with Mickey Mouse and friends for youngsters up to the age of 7.

For those kids that are almost teens, there are arcades, parlor games, mini parties as well as many other special activities. Being onboard of a Disney Cruise can be a lot like being as Disney World, or Disney Land. You will see a lot of the same things, mostly what you will recognize the most is the atmosphere, and the way the staff acts. The Disney staff are highly trained to make sure that you and your family have the best experience that you could possibly have. Sorry though, the only thing you wont find on a Disney Cruise are all of the rides that are at Disney World, but everything else is pretty much the same.

If you want to go above and beyond and provide your kids the most extraordinary vacation possible, there are packages to where you can go on a 3-7 day Disney Cruise, then when you get back to port you will have tickets and a hotel room for Disney World. Just imagine all the fun that your kids will have on board of a Disney Cruise.

Disney cruises will offer you all of the amenities that all of the other major cruise lines have, with the exception of gambling, since the theme is aimed towards kids.

If you are someone that lives where it is cold, or, wants to get into some warmer climate in teh winter while getting away and having a good time, then a Caribbean cruise just may be the perfect vacation for you, you and your family, or whatever. Caribbean cruise lines are up and running all year round though, if you are trying to get a deal then you may want to start booking in the summer.

Some of the cruise lines that travel the Caribbean and their islands are Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Crystal Cruises. If you are someone that is on a tight budget, then you may want to look into Seabourn Cruise Lines as they offer cheaper prices then the ones that are mentioned above.

The Royal Caribbean is probably the biggest fleet of the caribbean cruise lines as they have all sorts of packages to offer. They have ships that cruise the western ships that cruise the easter part of the caribbean, and ships that will cover the whole caribbean. 3 night trips up to a week or even the 2 week trip, whatever it is you are looking for the Royal Caribbean cruise lines more than likely have it.

The Norwegian Cruise ships have a lot in common with the Royal Caribbean lines in terms of how long you plan to travel on the cruise ship. They also have ships that cover the eastern, southern and western parts of the Caribbean.

Seabourne Cruise lines only offer you 2 different types of cruise packages, and these are the 7 day or the 13 day. Remember this is a cruise for those that are on a budget, but the ships are much smaller than the other caribbean cruise lines that are out there, but on a plus side they are usually much less crowded. These packages cover the Eastern side of the caribbean.

Crystal cruises only has one package available at the moment, and it lasts for 12 days. You start off in New York, and you return to Miami. Some of the ports it will stop at are Bermuda, St. Maarten, Antigua, Curacao and Grand Cayman, which are some fantastic ports that are a part of the caribbean.

By doing more research at the respectable cruise lines website, you will be able to compare costs, what amenities and activities the cruise will offer, along with points of travel and ports that you will be stopping in, along with departure dates and such. Taking part in a caribbean cruise is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for many people, and you will remember it for a life time.

This is for those of you that have never been onboard a cruise ship before. As a first timer, you might be asking yourself what all there is to do when you are on a cruise ship. Take in mind that the amenties and activities will differ from ship to ship, but this is just to get you a basic idea of what cruise lines have to offer onboard of a cruise ship.

On mostly all cruise ships, there are dining halls and restaurants. The restaurants that you will find are usually upscale, and it would be a good idea if you reserved reservations as soon as you get onboard, or even in advance if possible. In addition to restaurants there are also lots of smaller eateries also. Room service is offered on some cruise ships, and some cabins will have menus of all the food that is available from the different restaurants onboard.

Some cruise ships will also have bars and dance clubs, keep in mind though there may be age restrictions that are on the ship. If you have kids, most cruise ships have a day care center where you can drop off your kids so that you can go out and have a good time.

If you are onboard with a teenager, then you should closely go over the adult supervision policies that are on the ship, as there are usually plenty of places for a teenager to hang out like the arcade, library, swimming or even movie theatres. Again, every cruise line has different adult supervision age policies so it would be wise to familiarize your self with these before booking your cruise.

There are a lot of people that will choose to go on a cruise to get away from their daily activities, mostly work. But some people have to work out every day, on all of the major cruise ships that are big, there will be a fitness center or two. This way you can have fun and not feel guilty about not getting any exercise while on a vacation. As the fitness centers are a nice amenity onboard a cruise ship, many will also offer a running track for runners, joggers, or even walkers that will usually circle around the ship.

Of course, this is a big reason many people want to go on cruises, and that is to gamble. There are legal issues with running casinos on land in many states in the United States, but once you get so far out in the water it is fair game. This is why many cruise lines have huge casinos onboard, and many of them are open all day and all night, as soon as they get far enough out in the water that is. Be aware though there are still age limits to be able to gamble onboard a cruise ship just like there are with bars and alcohol.

Every single year there are millions of people that will take part on a cruise ship. A high percentage of those individuals have a great time that they will remember for the rest of their lives. In the past though, on the other hand, there have been a handful of missing person reports along with a little bit of crime onboard a cruise ship.

There are people that think that this may have to do with the cruise line, but the fact is that is does not. Mishaps onboard a cruise ship are very rare, but they do happen, as long as you take certain precautions then you should be alright and enjoy your vacation while onboard a cruise ship.

There are some easy steps that you can take that will ensure that you can your family stay safe, and keep your finances safe while enjoying yourself onboard a cruise ship. A number of these safety precautions can be accomplished with just a little, or in some cases no effort at all.

Some people might think that cruise ship safety starts as soon as they set foot on deck, but the fact of the matter is that it should start well ahead of time, preparation is key. Many cruise ships will stop in foreign ports, so it is important that you have on you at all times identification, and you should definitely have your passport with you at all times to. Just to be on the safe side, you should also have copies of both of these documents as well just to be extra careful.

As soon as you get on the cruise ship you should familiarize yourself with it as much as you can. Now there are many big cruise ships that are out there, and learning the cruise ship whereabouts can be an impossible task, so the next thing you should think about is getting a map of the cruise ship. Most cruise lines will give you a map when you first get onboard as it is easy to get lost on the bigger cruise ships, make sure that keep it on you at all times.

Although it is rare, but crime does exist on cruise ships as well. It is advised that you keep an eye out for shady characters, make yourself familiar with the people around you, you would do the same thing in a big city, so do the same thing onboard a cruise ship as well. Also, if you can try to avoid traveling alone a cruise ship also, this is just another safety precaution to take that will not set you up to be a victim of a crime.

Be cautious of what belongings you bring onboard a cruise ship. If you happen to lose your 100,000 dollar necklace while on a cruise ship, the cruise lines are not going to reimburse you for that. Just think of being on a cruise ship as walking around a small city on the water. So you might want to leave your expensive personal items at home with you, unless you are responsible enough to not lose them.

Pick pockets also happen on cruise ships, although they are rare. One way to completely avoid being pick pocketed is to where a money pouch, preferably one that hangs around your neck and you are able to tuck into your shirt. If you do not have a money pouch, then men should keep their wallets in their front pockets, if you are women and must have your purse with you, then keep it with you at all times, or store it in a safe if you cabin on the cruise ship offers one.

By just following these simple safety precautions you and your family or friends are sure to have a memorable experience on board a cruise ship. Happy cruising.

If you like to travel in tropical waters, then you may be more than interested in traveling on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. This is a vacation and an experience that is great for sight seeing, visiting tropical islands, snorkeling, scuba diving, great architecture along with much more that the caribbean has to offer.

I like the caribbean so much, that I am going to go over a couple of the Royal Caribbean cruise packages that are out there, so you can decide what is right for you and you budget. Note that these prices are just estimates of at the time that I looked into Royal Caribbean Cruises and may be subject to change.

Traveling throughout the Caribbean can be a life long dream for some people, you can find yourself cruising through the warm waters of the Caribbean on many of the different cruise ship lines that are out there. These locations consist of Cozummel, Mexico – Labadee, Hispaniola – Ocho Rios, Jamaica – George Town, Grand Canyon – Then you can enjoy all of the beautiful sites on your way back to Cape Canaveral Florida.

Just about everyone out there has heard of Disney land, and mostly everyone that is out there, especially those with kids knows that Disney Land hosts the best vacations for kids. I remember when I was a kid tingles would trickle down my spine when my mom or dad would mention Disney, but did you know that Disney also has their own cruise lines? What would be a better vacation for the family then taking a Disney cruise?

Disney cruises will let you get a feel of the Disney Land experience, except it will be on the water on a cruise ship, and the thing about it is there are affordable rooms for those that do not have the big bucks. Disney cruises have different rooms for different budgets, all the way up to luxury rooms on the cruise ship.

When you are onboard a Disney cruise ship there will be plenty of fun for everyone and the family. On Disney cruise lines there are plenty of shops for you to shop around at, and of course there are some top of the line resteraunts there also. There are many different varieties of food that Disney cruise lines have to offer, and the majority of them will come from all different parts of the world.

They offer many kinds of foods that are particulary for kids on the, as well as some stompers for the grown folk on a Disney cruise. You can expect everything on a Disney cruise when it comes to food from the freshest shrimp to the best salads.

The amenties that there are on a Disney cruise ship are the same as any high end cruise ship. They have gyms if you are feeling like you need to build up some muscle, or they have spas if you want to just sit in the bubbly water and relax. And do not forget about the kids, as they will get a chance to see Micky mouse and the rest of the gang when you are onboard a Disney cruise line.

When you get a room onboard a Disney cruise, there will in most cases always be a television in the room, something to watch before you are going to bed, as you should be out and about with all of the fun things that there are to do when experiencing a vacation with Disney. There will also be menus and a list of events that are taking place on the Disney cruise ship for you to look over and plan how you are going to spend your time while you are onboard.

When you are on a Disney cruise you are more than likely on your way to Disney world, or Disney land, it is just another way to get the kids, and you pumped up for all of the onshore activities that are there to take place when you get to Disney land.

Disney is a place of entertainment, fantasy and magic for all ages. If you want to experience the ultimate Disney experience, then there are packages where you can get discounts for the Disney cruise along with the theme park.
