Scott Wheeler is an investigative journalist and documentary film maker who has focused on domestic and international security issues.

President Obama took action fairly quickly regarding the unrest in Libya. He started arming rebels who, while they hated Muammar Qaddafi, some of them were Al Qaeda terrorists. So while Scott didn't point to this situation as rising to the level of a scandal, he admitted that we ended up arming terrorists that attacked our embassy in Benghazi.

But why help bring down Qaddafi when he was cooperating with the United States? Perhaps we were given a hint as Vic noted that in his writings, Scott indicates that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta "let the cat out of the bag" when he was questioned by Jeff Sessions about the lack of congressional authority regarding the Libyan conflict.

This kind of behavior from President Obama is quite precedent setting especially when one looks at Benghazi. This time it was American lives that were lost and Scott believes the President actively engaged in promoting lies to lawmakers and the international community.

Michael Connelly is a constitutional attorney, a U.S. Army Veteran and executive director of the United States Justice Foundation, a non-profit public interest legal organization dedicated to instruct, inform and educate the public, and to litigate the significant legal issues confronting America.

Michael described how the IRS was allegedly targeting conservative groups--any group with "Tea Party", "patriots" or "limited government" in their name, those who oppose the Obama administration, as well as those who were pro-Israel. This effort was allegedly designed to prevent certain groups from obtaining 501(c)(4) status prior to the election.

Michael also revealed that the I.R.S. is alleged to have turned over information of such groups to a left-wing non-profit group and they were releasing this information to the public.

In a related story, Michael explained how President Obama's Department of Justice was allegedly involved in secret monitoring of Associated Press phone records in order to find out where an information leak was coming from.

Jim began this edition of Crosstalk by mentioning that a verdict has come down in the trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Yesterday Gosnell was found guilty of murdering 3 of 4 babies and guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 abortion death of a 41 year old woman who died when his untrained staff administered a sedative overdose. He was also found guilty of 21 of 24 felony counts of illegal abortions beyond the 24 week limit and charged with 227 misdemeanor counts of violating the 24 hour informed consent law of which he was found guilty of all but 16. He was also convicted of conspiracy and corrupt organization charges. Sentencing will take place May 21.

Jim also brought news regarding the Romeike family of Germany, the family that is seeking asylum in the U.S. after feeling the oppression of German officials over the home schooling of their children. Today a 3 judge panel in the 6th Circuit heard their case and ruled against them. Michael Farris of the Home School Legal Defense Association says they will be appealing the case.

Jim's third story dealt with the passing of a bill that legalized gay marriage in Minnesota. Ironically supporters will be holding a big musical celebration called "Love is Law" in the city of St. Paul, named after the apostle who clearly condemns homosexuality in the Bible.

Jimmy DeYoung is with Prophecy Today. He has spent many years living in Israel and is a noted conference speaker. He constantly monitors news regarding Israel and the Middle East and provides a unique blend of political, biblical and prophetic insight that is absent from the media today.

In A.D. 70 the Jews became dispersed through the destruction of Jerusalem. Moving ahead to 1897 we see the formation of the first Zionist Congress in Basil, Switzerland, designed to discuss the formation of a Jewish homeland. They considered Uganda but ultimately it became the original site which had come to be known as Palestine. Following this first Zionist Congress Jews began emigrating to the land from 108 different nations.

Moving ahead to WWI we see God preparing the land for his people and he did so through the British defeat of the Turkish empire, the empire that had been in control of the Middle East since the 1500's.

When thinking of the Jews at that time of WWII you think of the holocaust. This war was about preparing the people for the land as we see the Jews beginning to move into the area of Jersusalem.

At the United Nations on November 29th, 1947 there was a vote regarding a partition plan because of the realization that there were two people groups in the area that the Jews were moving to. One state would go to the Palestinians and the other state would be for the Jews. This plan was rejected by the Palestinians but reluctantly accepted by the Jews.

Then in May 1948 Israel was declared a nation and within 48 hours after the announcement, 7 Arab nations attacked Israel. As Dr. DeYoung noted, that began Israel's war of independence, a war that has yet to see a conclusion.

Concerning Obamacare, how do you feel about being forced to pay for abortion? How do you feel about the employer mandate? How do you feel about the abortion mandate that even applies to religious employers? These are just some of the questions that are simmering as we continue to see the roll out of this new health care plan.

Back in November the Supreme Court ordered the court of appeals to once again hear Mat's case. This Thursday Mat Staver will be arguing before the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond in a case that he feels involves one of the most important oral arguments of his career.

The Supreme Court only upheld the individual mandate as it relates to it being supported by the taxing and spending clause. According to Mat, if the individual mandate is a tax, then he feels it violates other constitutional principles because it it originated in the Senate and not the House (Taxing bills must originate in the House). In other words, there's much more to be considered such as the employer mandate that seeks to force employers to provide contraception, sterilization and abortion inducing drugs and I.U.D.'s. In addition to the fact that the employer mandate violates the free exercise of religion, no decision has been rendered as to whether it's supported by the commerce clause or the taxing and spending clause.

Since Obamacare is set to be fully implemented in 2014, this Thursday Mat will be asking for an injunction to block it's implementation.

Usama Dakdok was born in Egypt and raised in a Christian home as the son of a Baptist pastor. He became a Christian at the age of 11. Going through Egyptian schools Islam was a mandatory subject. He furthered his knowledge of Islam by studying Islamic law in college. He came to the U.S. in 1992 and several years later in 2001 he founded the Straight Way of Grace Ministry. He travels throughout the United States equipping the saints to be effective witnesses of Jesus Christ to their Muslim neighbors as well as ministry to Muslims directly. Usama has conducted a full comprehensive English translation of the Qur'an and he has recently released a two-volume set of books, "Exposing the Truth about the Qur'an: The Revelation of Error".

This attack resulted in the death of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith and two Navy Seals--Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

Many questions remain unanswered. For example:

Drone information allegedly indicates that we could see the commotion that was forming that led to the attack. Why didn't the chain of command respond to protect our people?

In the first set of hearings, Hillary Clinton said, "What difference does it make?" and then after that communicated that we have to do everything we can to prevent such an incident from happening again. These are contradictory statements that require an explanation.

Avi Lipkin was born in New York and moved to Israel at age 19. He served in the Israeli Defense Forces and in the artillery reserves and served as an officer in the IDF Spokesman's Office from 1989-2001. He has worked in the news department at the Israel Government Press Office. He has lectured in Christian churches and synagogues in many countries around the world including in the U.S. He has written 6 books including, "Is Fanatic Islam a Global Threat?", "Christian Revival for Israel's Survival" and others.

According to Avi, the recent attack on Syria by Israel was designed to weaken the missile and technology transport channel that runs from Iran, through Syria and into Lebanon. The technology being transported includes ground-to-sea, anti-aircraft as well as ground-to-ground missiles that could eventually be used by Hezbollah against Israel.

On an even larger scale, Avi noted that Russia, China, North Korea and Iran all support Syria and by extension they also support Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Complicating matters is the fact that when Bashar Assad falls in Syria, that will open the door for Al Qaeda to take over which isn't good news for either Israel or the United States.

Some people today are afraid to talk about the violence of Islam for fear of being labeled as an ?Islamophobe?. With more than 3 decades as a lawyer, he has litigated cases at all levels of the federal system including the United States Supreme Court.

Just when you thought that network television couldn't get much worse, news is now coming forth that the Federal Communications Commission (F.C.C.) is considering a relaxing of the current indecency standards so that nudity and expletives can be broadcast.

According to Patrick, the federal statute says that on broadcast TV (not Cable TV) you're not allowed to have any indecency or profanity. That law is supposed to be administered by the F.C.C. The current chairman, Julius Genachowski, has claimed that this was tied up in the courts. That was not the case. He simply hasn't enforced the law since President Obama put him in office. Now that he's leaving his post, he wants to change the law (that he wouldn't enforce) to say that nudity and profanity are fine as long as there aren't sustained incidents.

Making matters worse is the fact that Mr. Genachowski's department has trashed more than one million citizen complaints to the F.C.C.

Omer Eshel is the director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism for the Midwest Region. He promotes tourism to Israel in 13 states. Twila Brase is the President of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom. Twila is a public health nurse and a health care freedom advocate who has been informing listeners of crucial health issues pertaining to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (known as Obamacare) and is deeply concerned about patient privacy issues.

Jim began by referencing a Newsmax article that said that Obamacare has cost 30.8 billion dollars so far and 111.4 million hours to complete the various types of paperwork involved.

January 1, 2014, is the date when Obamacare is to be fully implemented. In fact, on October 1st of this year we're supposed to be able to get online and find one of these exchanges and purchase coverage.

Overall, Obamacare is basically healthcare via a national IT infrastructure. The critical structural pieces of Obamacare include the health insurance exchanges connecting the state governments with the federal government. 17 states have said "yes" to building a state based exchange. These are just the federal exchange with a state name and will be state funded. 33 have said "no" and they will default to the federal exchange.

Twila also mentioned that within the 33 states mentioned, there are 7 states that have said they will partner with the government in what's called a "partnership exchange." In this case the state has a storefront website with the federal government handling the "back office" operations.

Could the exchanges fail? According to Twila, if they do, there will be no Obamacare. If they don't fail and you don't have employer supplied insurance, are there any options outside of Obamacare? Twila answers these questions and more on this critical edition of Crosstalk.

Walid Shoebat is a former Muslim Brotherhood activist willing to die for the cause of jihad. He converted to Christianity in 1994 and is a committed Christian warning about Islam. Mat described same-sex marriage as a deconstruction of the institution, an idea that accomplishes this through the redefinition of marriage as a policy matter.

On that note, yesterday and today the Supreme Court has been listening to arguments over 2 issues. Proposition 8 out of California involves the state constitutional amendment that affirmed marriage as the union of one-man and one-woman. The Defense of Marriage Act (D.O.M.A.) does the same thing in terms of federal benefits.

Mat explained that if for some reason 5 justices were to say that there?s a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, that will cause catastrophic changes in the areas of morality, our free exercise of religion, freedom of speech and aberrant same-sex activity and behavior within the public schools beginning in Kindergarten.

Regarding Prop 8 specifically, Mat believes that the justices are uncomfortable making a broad rule that will affect the entire nation and ultimately undermine the institution of marriage.

The timetable for a decision by the court is the month of June.

In Deuteronomy 13 we see that even if the words of the self-proclaimed prophet do come true, if that individual leads you follow a deity other than the God of Scripture, then God has allowed that person?s words to come true to test you to see if your heart is truly his.

When children are born they are put on a rigorous vaccine schedule. That schedule is of concern to Barbara because today the Centers for Disease Control recommends that children receive 69 doses of 17 vaccines beginning on the day of birth through age 18. 49 of those doses are given between the day of birth and age 6. That?s three times as many vaccinations as children were given 30 years ago.

Barbara noted that she?s been watching the relationship between chronic disease and disability among children. Today, one in 6 children in America has learning disabilities. One in 9 has asthma. One in 50 are now autistic. One in 450 develop diabetes. One in 10 have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

She assured listeners that she?s not saying chronic disease in children is all due to vaccines. She?s concerned because an intervention consisting of increased vaccines is a manipulation of the immune systems of children. Since you have to have inflammation in order to initiate an antibody immune response, is it possible that a growing number of children are not able to physically deal with that inflammation, are becoming chronically inflamed and therefore becoming victims of chronic disease?

Next week Tuesday, March 26th & Wednesday March 27th, the United States Supreme Court will hear two cases. The case of United States vs. Windsor pertains to the challenging of the Defense of Marriage Act (D.O.M.A.) and Hollingsworth vs. Perry is the case challenging California?s Proposition 8.

Discussing this with Jim was Brad Dacus, the president of the Pacific Justice Institute, a non-profit legal defense organization specializing in the defense of religious freedom, parental rights, and other civil liberties. The Pacific Justice Institute has a network with hundreds of volunteer affiliate attorneys and handles more cases on the West Coast than any other organization of its kind.

Since the Defense of Marriage Act was signed into law by President Bill Clinton, there have been 18 lawsuits challenging it. It has made its way to the Supreme Court and there should be a decision in June. This case is important because it?s a question of maintaining the will of the people reflected through legislation and whether or not by this process a state can respect the institution of marriage and define it as their citizens deem necessary.

Prop 8 specifically addresses the ability of California to define marriage as being between one man and one woman. Brad is cautiously optimistic that there are five votes on the court that will uphold both D.O.M.A. and the ability of states to define marriage as being between one man and one woman.

If the Supreme Court rules against D.O.M.A. and Prop 8, any state legislation that defines marriage as being only between one man and one woman will become invalid.

Matt Trewhella has been a leader in the pro-life movement and directs the ministry, Missionaries to the Preborn. Matt has been involved in hunting down and securing the first English Translation of The Magdeburg Confession dealing with the Lesser Magistrate Doctrine.

The Lesser Magistrate Doctrine states that when a higher or superior authority creates unjust or immoral laws, the lesser ranking civil authority has both the right and the duty before God to not only not obey but to actively resist such unjust laws.

The Magdeburg Confession, which was based upon the Lesser Magistrate Doctrine, was written in 1550 by the nine pastors of Magdeburg, Germany. When Luther died in 1546, Charles V, who had always wanted to crush the reformation, decided to finally take action and he introduced his Augsburg Interim in order to try and bring all the Christian states and Christian princes back under Roman Catholic authority.

Most of the empire went along with the Augsburg Interim except for the city of Magdeburg, Germany.

The confession was written in Latin, then translated into German and distributed as the printing press had been invented approximately 100 years earlier. Unfortunately it was never translated into English, although through the help of a librarian from Concordia University, Matt was able to secure a Latin original from 1550 from the Bavarian State Library in Germany. From there Matt was able to obtain the help of a Cornell University staff member with a PhD in Latin and Greek literature who did the translation work.

As the rule of law continues to deteriorate in America, is it possible that there are instances where the Lesser Magistrate Doctrine should be executed? Since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, there?s been a concerted effort on the state and national level to institute gun control.

To discuss this topic, Crosstalk welcomed Mike Hammond. Mike has spent the better part of his career in government service. He has been a legislative counsel to Senators Bob Smith, Gordon Humphrey, Jesse Helms and Steve Symms. Mr. Hammond was a member of the Department of Education transition team and the Department of Justice Transition team. From 1977?1989 he served as General Counsel to the United States U.S. Senate Steering Committee. He presently serves as a political consultant and writer, as well as General Counsel for the Gun Owners of America.

According to Mike, within the next four weeks, history will be made as President Obama stakes his legacy on being able to break the back of the gun lobby or we will teach him the lesson that our constitutional rights transcend his legacy.

Tomorrow it?s estimated that the Senate Judiciary Committee will vote out the Feinstein gun bill, a bill that would ban most semi-automatic weapons. How does he know this? Mike believes it?s a “red herring? or “throw away? bill that will cause some Democrats to vote against it, making it appear as though they support the 2nd Amendment while these same legislators will then vote for other types of gun control legislation.

On the state level, Colorado has implemented a universal gun registry while demanding that gun owners pay for their own background checks. Also, a Florida legislator wants ammunition buyers to take an anger management program consisting of online or face-to-face instruction that must be repeated every 10 years.

On the other side of the equation, some states are enacting legislation to empower citizens. For example Arkansas is moving to legalize the carrying of a firearm in a church. In South Dakota and Oklahoma they are enacting legislation to allow school staff members to carry firearms in schools.

Bill Wilson is the president of Americans for Limited Government. Their organization identifies, exposes and works with Congress and state legislatures to prevent the continued expansion of government.

From the beginning of the U.S. to the year 2000, we amassed a debt of about 5.5 trillion dollars. In the 8 years from 2001-2009, President Bush nearly doubled the debt and in the last 4 years under President Obama, we?ve gone from 10 trillion to 16 trillion in debt.

Back in August of 2011, Congress was debating over whether to raise the debt ceiling. President Obama asked for an additional 2.1 trillion in spending authority which created considerable opposition. The impasse was broken by a three-step plan that the president signed into law called the “sequester.? It was decided that a couple of months would be taken to work out a deal and if one couldn?t be worked out, on January 1 of 2013, there would be automatic spending cuts that would total 1.2 trillion over 10 years. (The sequester has been given a 2 month reprieve with across-the-board cuts set to begin March 1.) Half would be in defense and the other half in non-defense parts of government. Under this plan, Social Security and Medicaid were given an exemption but not Medicare for senior citizens.

According to Bill, the thought was that the cuts would seem so Draconian that the politicians would eventually agree to a deal. Unfortunately they?ve been unable to find a middle-ground position on how to deal with the out-of-control spending and the result is that the sequester is still a near future reality.

Valerie Huber is the Executive Director of the National Abstinence Education Association (NAEA), a Washington, D.C.-based professional association in support of abstinence education as the optimal strategy for teen sexual health. Valerie previously served as the Title V Abstinence Education Coordinator for the state of Ohio where she provided oversight and grant awards to community abstinence programs serving more than 100,000 students per year as part of the Ohio Department of Health. She also founded and directed a non-profit organization in support of character building and abstinence education during the late 1990?s that served all school districts in two counties of Ohio.
Jim summarized a Centers for Disease Control (C.D.C.) report released last Wednesday that places the current number of sexually transmitted infections at 110 million in the U.S. Some 20 million new cases are diagnosed each year costing taxpayers approximately 16 billion dollars. Those between the ages of 15-24 are disproportionately affected by the epidemic accounting for half of all infections despite comprising only one-fourth of the sexually active population.

Valerie pointed to the fact that today sex among teens has been normalized. In fact, some who oppose abstinence education believe that teen experimentation is a healthy aspect of teen maturation therefore abstinence education is harmful.

The result? While the numbers above show infections are infecting about 1 in 3 people across the population as a whole, Valerie mentioned another C.D.C. report from about 4 years ago indicating that 1 in 4 teen girls has at least 1 STD. In African American teen girls it?s 1 in 2. This proves that among teens, this epidemic is exploding.

Valerie also described the legislative climate regarding this issue beginning with the Bush administration. In 2008 the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services did the first comprehensive review of where federal dollars were going for sex education. President Bush wanted to bring parity between contraceptive based sex education and abstinence education. When he took office there was an 8-1 disparity and he was able to reduce that to a 4-1 disparity, meaning that for every 4 dollars spent on contraceptive based sex education, 1 dollar was spent on abstinence based education.

As soon as President Obama took office, the first budget he sent to Congress eliminated all funding for abstinence based education. Even though the N.A.E.A. worked hard on Capitol Hill to bring some parity back, the ratio is still 16 to 1 in favor of contraceptive based sex education, the most lopsided sex education initiative America has had in modern times.

In response, a bipartisan team from Illinois introduced the Abstinence Education Reallocation Act (HR-718) which, for the first time in modern history, seeks to establish some parity between the two approaches, putting a strong emphasis on abstinence based sex education.

Jim opened this Crosstalk by explaining the following: If a Kindergarten teacher were killed by a gunman it would be the top story on news outlets across America. Night after night the networks would be doing follow-up stories, the print media would be involved and certain congressional offices would be putting out press releases. The President might even get involved as he addresses the nation about another senseless killing, probably telling us why we need tougher gun control laws.

What if the killing occurred, not because of a gunman, but because she was the victim of a botched abortion?

This Crosstalk describes the circumstances that led to the February 7th death of 29 year old Jennifer McKenna Morbelli, a Kindergarten teacher from New Rochelle, New York, who is alleged to have died due to internal bleeding after having an abortion. No massive media coverage, no congressional press releases and no comments from President Obama. The only thing the public is hearing on this matter from the major media is silence.

Cheryl reported that Jennifer went to Germantown, Maryland, to obtain an abortion during the 33rd week of her pregnancy as she was told by one of her doctors that her baby had some abnormalities. This was a desired pregnancy; nonetheless she was encouraged to see LeRoy Carhart who would be performing the abortion.

On the last day of the multi-day process she delivered her baby but developed complications that led to her death in spite of her being admitted to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. Carhart, in the meantime, had left town.

Also discussed was the connection between Carhart and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, illegal dumping practices, as well as details surrounding the death of Tonya Reaves who died last July of abortion related complications.

Mike Gendron was a devout Roman Catholic for 34 years. True or false: Storms such as the one that recently dumped significant amounts of snow on a large portion of the eastern U.S. as well as super-storm Sandy were historically unprecedented. The answer: False.

While you might be tempted to view recent storms as having been fueled, at least in part, by global warming; caution must be taken. This is because Dr. Beisner noted that there is nothing historically unprecedented about either the rate or the magnitude of any global warming that?s taken place in the last 150 years. The fear that?s being propagated now is only due to significant warming that occurred from about 1980 to 1997, a period of about 17 years. Since 1997 we?ve had 16 straight years of no statistically significant global warming. In spite of the fact that these two periods are nearly identical n terms of time, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (the alleged “main ingredient? of global warming) has continued to rise even faster than it did during the 17 year period of warming. This proves that global warming and climate change are not a threat but merely part of a natural cycle.

For many years Americans have witnessed attempts by the homosexual community to infiltrate various American institutions and thereby gain approval for their lifestyle in the court of public opinion.

Scouting has not gone unnoticed by the homosexual movement and in late January, the Boy Scouts announced that they were reconsidering their decision whether or not they should lift their ban on homosexual members/leaders. This was to be taken up by their national executive board. As they met this week, they indicated that they will prepare a resolution for the 1,400 voting members of the national council to consider at their annual meeting in Grapevine, Texas, in May of this year.

At the root is corporate funding that could be pulled from the scouts. Why? It?s because these corporations have non-discrimination policies as it pertains to homosexuals and pro-homosexual forces are pressuring these corporations to persuade the scouts into taking a similar stance or risk losing funding.
