Hard water can destroy your appliances, clothing, linens, and much more. Your skin will feel dry and itchy and you will see hard water spots on your dishware, showers, sinks, tubs, and glasses.

A water softener will eliminate these troublesome issues and save you money on detergents, soaps, cleaners, and save you time on household cleaning. We recently purchased our system from Water Softener Indianapolis and are very happy that we did so. We also got a reverse osmosis system from them as well and love the pure drinking water.

My kids love the water now and are drinking more than ever! I love cooking and the systems have given us better tasting teas, sauces, and the food is more flavorful now. Our pets are drinking more water and it is healthier for them as well.

If you are looking to remove the hardness and all of the chemicals, contaminants, pesticides, metals, pharmaceuticals, fluorides, I would recommend getting a softener and ro system for your home and your family.Cross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-75416552021929182672014-12-21T22:36:00.000-05:002014-12-21T22:36:12.650-05:00Cross Stitch WomanIt is with great sadness to inform you that the Cross Stitch Woman (Margie) passed away in August. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She is greatly missed. She loved to cross stitch and was working on an amazing Halloween piece.

Margie was a young and vibrant 63 year old. She had fallen down and cracked her knee cap coming out of a local restaurant. She immediately went to the hospital to get a brace and had follow up visits with her ortho doctor. A couple weeks later, while healing at home, she said she was struggling to breathe. The ambulance came and took her to the hospital, where she died a few hours later unexpectedly from a blood clot. A blood clot had developed at the site of the injury and traveled upwards to her lungs.

As a family, we are devastated, but wanted to take this moment to mention her passing and express our gratitude for your following of her blog posts. She would also want us to tell you to become aware of the signs and symptoms of blood clots. 1 person dies every 6 minutes from a blood clot in the United States. Talk to your friends and family about the dangers of blood clots.

For more information, please click Blood Clots This link will take you to the American Blood Clot Association. Thanks so much!Cross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-48606984434925054322012-12-03T20:09:00.000-05:002012-12-03T20:58:02.189-05:00HALLOWEENThis is a quick post as I am trying to catch up before Christmas Day is here!
I have had many things going on in my life and therefore running behind.

I finished my HALLOWEEN pattern by Hinzeit on 32ct. Dirty Khaki Linen with all Weeks Dye Floss. I had Michael's frame my finished stitching and I chose a black worn looking frame. I decided not to use glass as I like the look of the finished stitching with the charms.

I plan on stitching Scaredy Cat and The Wicked Witch coming up for next Halloween and both patterns are by Hinzeit. I love stitching Hinzeit patterns. Not this season but for the future I have Hinzeit's Homespun Christmas pattern with the charms and looking forward to stitching all three of the Hinzeit patterns.

I have started stitching for my next project a Christmas Ornament out of the 2012 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament issue. I will finish this pattern after Christmas. Christmas is coming faster than I can stitch!! LOL!

Until next time,
Happy Stitching
This summer in Indiana we all lived through the worst drought. Temperatures reaching over 104 degrees many days. We since have received around 5" of rain and the grass has turned green again. Rain was so much needed!

I haven't had much time for stitching this summer and as I look up we are into fall. Our nights are becoming longer with evening falling dark sooner. And those cooler temperatures are sure a welcome.

I have started stitching this spring/summer on linen. This is new for me! I was so intimidated with linen but once I got the hang of it...love it!!! I look back at all my stitching and think...wish I had done that pattern on linen! It is fun seeing so many colors of linen. I also have stitched with Weeks Dye Floss which is a first for me too. Gotta say...I am hooked on Weeks Dye Floss!

This summer I made another change with my lap frame. I purchased a new lap frame from Needleworks System 4 and it is fantastic!!! It sure has made life much simpler as this lap frame turns 360 degrees. I will soon do another post with pictures of my lap frame. If anyone is interested just go to www.needleworksystem4.com and check all the models out. Many needleshops carry the Needleworks System 4 frames.

As fall is falling I always get in the mood for Halloween. So what am I stitching? Of course HALLOWEEN by Hinzeit. My pattern is Charmed Halloween Homespun. I am making a few changes with my stitching.
I will soon be posting with pictures. Until then...hope all is stitching away!

Until We Meet Again...
Happy Stitching
Memorial Day as a child had different meanings. It was the beginning of summer with school getting out. Living in Indiana it was the Indianapolis 500 Race. A day of going to grandparents to visit and celebrate the day. Celebrating the day meant a trip to the cemetery with my grandparents. I remember my grandparents cutting flowers from their yard. Nothing fancy back then as the flowers went into a foil wrapped can with water. My job was to help hold those flower cans in the car while riding to the cemetery. My mother and her parent's displaying those fresh flowers for their loved ones who had passed before them. This was a yearly trip as a child that I didn't mind. I also knew it was a day to remember those who served our country and gave us our freedom.

Time changed as the years went on and so did the cemetery decorating. Those trips got much harder as I became an adult and it was decorating my grandparent's graves. Then came several aunts and uncles graves. Still decorating with those fresh cut flowers and foil wrapped cans.

That was then and it is now... Today how things have changed. It isn't the fresh cut flowers but silk flowers in vases and saddles for the monuments. And yes those silk flowers do last much longer.

The trip to the cemetery for Memorial Day decorating is much different. Now I decorate my own parent's graves. I catch myself looking around at other graves and see how many no one decorates much less visit. I am realizing this is becoming a lost tradition with the younger generation. I ask myself why this is. My only answer to myself is ... time has changed as that was then and this is now.

I hope all enjoyed their Memorial Day with many memories.
Until We Meet Again,
It was voted by a local television station of being the "BEST"!!
As most of us loyal customers knew it as NEEDLE FEVER. It was more than just a local needleshop, it was where each season we found new cross stitch pattern books, newly stitched models on display and always the friendly help. If you couldn't find what you were looking for, they ordered it for you.

This is why I use to say...support your local needleshop! Yes, we can order online but there is a huge difference of seeing, touching fabric and picking colors in person. Such a difference that only a stitcher would know!

This last year NEEDLE FEVER started a stitchers guild, stitching classes and bus trips. There was so much being planned for the future with the guild. Like I say with an ending becomes a new beginning. The stitchers guild is moving on to a new location. The stitching classes have moved to a quilt shop. So, that being the new beginning! The closed shop is for sale. I am still holding out hope someone will buy what use to be a great needleshop. This would mean all new inventory and store fixtures...now that would be a new beginning!!

This last week being the last of the NEEDLE FEVER being open was met with loyal customers ravaging for their favorite patterns. Yes there were discounts too. By ends week the store was well picked over and the remains being sold on Ebay.

Myself, I don't like store closing sales! There is something about them that I find "unsettling". As you may guess...I didn't go!!
I want to remember my favorite needleshop and all the days of looking and chatting with the owner as a great time.

My new beginning is now looking for a great needleshop with the same experience as NEEDLE FEVER gave to us. I am still holding out hope!

My ending...good-bye to NEEDLE FEVER!

Until we meet again...
Happy Stitching,
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-82945731066161732352012-01-16T16:06:00.004-05:002012-01-17T00:57:01.806-05:00GOODWILL ?What do you do with old/retired/no longer wanted framed cross stitch?

I know as time passes on so does our liking of different styles, different designers, color and perhaps the fabric chose. Myself I have experienced my growth of being a cross stitcher with many changes and likings. Today, there are so many new designers and choices of hand-dyed floss.

Myself when I decide to no longer display my framed cross stitched work I normally put it away in tissue paper and a nice sealed container. There are many reasons I decide to no longer display my framed work. Most of the time my framed cross stitch is seasonal and I am into another season. Lucky for me..not a life changing situation!

Today, I visited a Goodwill Store only to find personalized framed cross stitch. I caught myself thinking as I inspected the framed piece. Who is Chris and Kris? Their date of marriage!! What happened to these people? Divorce? Or just no longer wanted their personalized framed cross stitch? I even thought...perhaps they died? Couldn't imagine that being the case as the fabric was too new looking, 14Ct Ivory Aida. Still thinking hmmmm... only to find another framed cross stitch, this time...married to my best friend!! Really? Talk about put on the shelf!!

I don't know about any other cross stitchers out here in blogland but speaking for myself I never plan on anyone seeing my finished framed cross stitch for sale in a Goodwill Store!!!!!
If I should die, then it is up to those left living to do as they feel. Trust me, there will be my instructions on what to do or not do!
I hope they will never donate anything of my cross stitch work to a Goodwill Store!
My conclusion is that "married to best friend" lying on the Goodwill Store shelf had to be a divorce!
But just a piece of advice to all cross stitchers...if you are ever in this situation in life...have a celebration and burn it!!!!!!

So as life goes...perhaps Chris & Kris had a change of heart and the love for their framed cross stitch!!
And I walked out of the Goodwill Store thinking to myself...do I ever want to stitch a personalize pattern, if so I sure hope it never ends up on a Goodwill Store shelf!!

And no I didn't buy the frame for future framing either!! I am just trying to forget seeing this very nice personalized cross stitch for sale in Goodwill!!!
Wishing Chris & Kris the best!!
LOL!

Until We Meet Again...
Happy Stitching
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-22933706208764873822011-12-31T00:06:00.002-05:002011-12-31T00:52:14.826-05:00CHRISTMAS VISITORAs Christmas was approaching and the days were so busy I had a surprised Christmas visitor. I must say not a welcomed visitor!
He stopped in to visit while no one was home and yes he did leave his calling card. Somehow I knew he was going to call again and yes he did, again while no one was home. Still leaving his calling card. His name was Alvin!!!

I always knew I didn't like the name Alvin but more so the week of Christmas!!
Yes, Alvin is one of many Chipmunks!! But Alvin sure liked my kitchen and my home when no one was home!

You can only imagine my surprise to have such a visitor and him eating my Harry & David pears! He didn't like the old grocery bought banana. LOL!

As I was about to lose my mind with it being the week of Christmas and knowing well I had a lot of cooking to do and Alvin wasn't coming for dinner!!! As I was bringing out the Christmas dinnerware so were the animal traps. I did have a special treat for Alvin...sunflower seeds and peanut butter!
Oh so great for Christmas!! Alvin loved those sunflower seeds but not the traps. I was pleased Alvin gave me a gift leaving his trail of eaten seeds and a few for the road.

As I was saying...I was losing my mind!
You can only imagine me screaming on the phone to my husband a few choice words about Alvin. I was also screaming this isn't going to work! I am not cooking!! We are eating somewhere else!!! By this time I had NO Christmas spirit or a mind of my own!! Thank heavens Alvin only liked my kitchen! And those Harry & David pears!!

As this story goes, Alvin didn't have to knock on the door. He welcomed himself by entering under my kitchen sink and dishwasher. They do have great teeth!!
The bottom wood under the sink was replaced and no more Alvin!!
Next came disinfecting, scrubbing, disinfecting and more scrubbing and a total cleaning of my kitchen. Then came my Christmas cooking!

We did have a great Christmas and dinner! Just no Alvin!!!
And I still have my mind!
And Alvin still has a trap waiting on him too and hopefully a ride out of town!!

There has been no stitching in this house but soon I will be starting a new cross stitch pattern.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!
And to all in blogland...wishing you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Until we meet again...
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-9043376231870052372011-12-25T00:14:00.002-05:002011-12-25T00:17:53.437-05:00MERRY CHRISTMASWishing all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!Cross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-77641346488948795222011-11-24T07:56:00.003-05:002011-11-24T08:27:13.922-05:00HAPPY THANKSGIVINGWISHING ALL A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

As everyone gathers today for Thanksgiving, my family celebrates a blessing we received thirty-four years ago.
On November 24th, 1977 I gave birth to our second son Carson. I have always said as everyone was having turkey I was having Carson. The doctor kept telling me to wait as he could then miss eating pumpkin pie.
As this special day was approaching I kept telling the doctor I would have my baby on Thanksgiving Day. Of course no one believed me! I was overdue and family didn't want me to travel so Thanksgiving was at our home. On Thanksgiving Eve, yes it all started with me telling family I am going to prepare to go to the hospital. Of course all the family said...you're kidding! No, I wasn't kidding!! And as it goes...Carson was born in the early hours of Thanksgiving Day!!

Today, our family will be enjoying our Thanksgiving Day dinner and also Carson's birthday. Every seven years Carson celebrates his birthday on Thanksgiving Day.
Having his birthday on Thanksgiving Day is a very special day as we all gather and share the day with Carson.

To our son Carson...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Wishing all a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Until we meet again...
Happy Stitching
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-24818342466218113312011-10-31T17:06:00.002-04:002011-10-31T17:10:01.887-04:00HAPPY HALLOWEENHAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

My Halloween Boy is still on the Doodler Frame and little more than half finished.
So, maybe someday you will see a picture of him on this blog.
I am still here!
Oh those haystacks!!!
That is where I am, in the haystacks!!

This HALLOWEEN BOY pattern is getting very detailed starting with the quarter stitches. However, I am moving right along. Soon I will be finished with the haystacks and I can't wait to stitch the pumpkins and the Halloween boy.

I have a picture of this HALLOWEEN BOY pattern as you scroll down. I have stated many times before how I love the Leisure Arts Books. These books offer great patterns. This HALLOWEEN BOY pattern is from an old post card. I have always loved the "vintage" look and Leisure Arts offers many of the "vintage" patterns.

Better get back to the haystacks!
Happy Stitching!

I decided to think about what I wanted to do.

As I stitched the red berries it came to me... a red eye!
So I quickly changed to a red eye and I really liked how it looked. I feel the red eye and the red berries pulled from each other.

Another thought I had was to do a few beads on the berries but decided to move on. I must say that my stitching basket is such a disorganized mess. It is time for a stitching house cleaning!!
So, the last two evenings I have been organizing all my DMC Floss on floss bobbins. Anyone having issues with those little sticky numbers falling off the floss bobbins?
Anyone having issues with writing the floss number on the plastic floss bobbins only to have the ink wear off? Well, that is where I am!!!
With the help of The Twisted Stitcher blog tutorial I have help on the way!
So far so good!! Been cutting the DMC Floss number off and taping on upper right hand corner and then wrapping floss around the bobbin. I am hoping to be finished by evening organizing all my floss and ready for the next stitching project.

I am going to be stitching another Leisure Arts Book pattern. Book #15 Christmas Remembered Holiday Reverie. My pattern is titled "HALLOWEEN". <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQjR7ETHdVyMBAUiJFWD2oCrKxDiWcogLjBoLW2kzB187RUxfgGTCnjugiqZI03I6nXLzGXpttZUts6OTz48WAPBan8qufyalUii3SFqIdubIQs0b14Vl7b9J-YG7QbjUVKofeZg6rcC4/s400/DSCN2108+%25283%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5633123603413816434" />I figure it will take me from now to Halloween to finish this pattern. I am stitching on Aida 16ct Natural Color and using all DMC Floss. I purchased my Aida Cloth at my favorite Indianapolis Needle Fever Shop. With such a pleasant surprise the owner surged all sides with her surger sewing machine. This makes it so nice for me to attach the cloth on my Doodler Frame and ready to go. I am pulling all my colors and so excited as this will be a fun pattern to stitch.

Now you have it...
Better finish organizing my basket so I can start stitching!!!

Until We Meet Again.
Happy Stitching!
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-70254726982821286232011-05-17T10:52:00.005-04:002011-05-17T11:27:02.059-04:00CHECKERED FLAGGood day to all of you out in Blog Land!

I am coming to you today from the "HOOSIER" state of INDIANA!!
I know most people think of Indiana as midwest, corn fields and the Indianapolis 500 Race. I have been ask many times...what is a HOOSIER?
A HOOSIER is no more than a person from Indiana! Just a nickname for an Indiana resident. The first recording of the meaning of HOOSIER dates back to 1826.
I must tell you I am a HOOSIER all the way. I have lived in Indiana my entire life and very proud of the state of INDIANA!!
INDIANA does offer more than just corn fields and the Indianapolis 500 Race. LOL!!

I know by now most of you are wondering where is this leading to?
Only to the black and white checkered flag background. Yes, us HOOSIERS do love our Indianapolis 500 Race. Indiana families love to decorate and celebrate race day. As you drive thorough Indiana you see many black and white checkered flags representing not one but 3 races in Indiana. The Indianapolis Motor Speeeday not only has the Indianapolis 500, Nascar but also a motorcycle race. I might mention the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is known as the "heart of the city". Race fans from all over the world attend these races. The city of Indianapolis is booming with out of town guest.
The month of May is very important for the state of Indiana.
The Indianapolis 500 Race is on May 29th!
For more information: www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com

So now you have it...
The black and white checkered flag background. And the racecar!

Back to stitching...
HAPPY STITCHING!
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-36608151439090168132011-04-30T09:42:00.002-04:002011-04-30T10:31:05.881-04:00EASTER BUNNYAs April moves into May I wanted to leave this month hopping around with stitching details of the EASTER BUNNY.

This pattern is from Leisure Arts Book, Holiday Reverie. Copyright 1997, can you believe that? I must say, these books are just the best! There are several in a series and can be found on Ebay for a good price. They include many patterns and beautiful color pictures. I own several of these books and the patterns offer such beautiful colors and are well thought out.

I call this pattern EASTER BUNNY. However, in the Holiday Reverie book it is titled EASTER. I stitched this EASTER BUNNY on 18ct. Aida Antique White with all DMC Floss.

My biggest challenge came finishing as a Flat-fold. Never have I done any finishing other than framing and a few ornaments. I chose a royal blue cloth for the back side and inside fold. I used acid-free mat board purchased from Michael's and warm color batting. The batting I used on all four boards as it made for a softer appearance.

The Tassel!!
My first tassel and yes I did learn what to do the next time I make a tassel. I must explain the hurry of making this tassel. A storm was brewing with tornado warnings the night I was making this tassel. I was in a big hurry!
I will put it this way...I know what to do next time making a tassel. I feel my first tassel turned out okay but the colors of floss/threads should have been more blended. Not bad for a first time! I feel the tassel added more color to the finished look.

The cord around the Flat-fold easel was purchased pre-made from Hobby Lobby. I glued the cord and added sewing pins to make it more secure.

I recommend anyone wanting to make a Flat-fold easel to check out www.thetwistedstitcher.com to see the tutorial. Very helpful!! Vonna Pfeiffer is the owner of this site and gives great instructions. Vonna recommends storing Flat-folds in tissue paper and boxed away until next year. To dust off, just use a make-up brush and lightly brush your stitched project.

All in all...
I enjoyed stitching the EASTER BUNNY and loved how my finished project turned out. My family said ... job well done!! They loved it too!

Moving on...
I now am stitching BLACKBIRD DESIGNS SUMMER OFFERING. So until we meet again, happy stitching!

CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-57485578166833869772011-04-23T21:34:00.004-04:002011-04-23T21:50:17.289-04:00HAPPY EASTER<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhezsPviSZZtu1hOWdqG5LJZGqkbZD-ofmR1oEVricAuhyphenhyphenDgp3tRJyahyphenhyphengeipyofiqgj48kwq3Pw8JNqv0gSNB9iOp2gATi9q4r4qygw_bygk6kN_sKT_BK25szCVX_ffRCTj9Z1bM1lfA/s400/DSCN2012+%25282%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5598960814407663762" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL76rPGCUjHbbleVcaoHNw6w3rUsgxOdlaPejW-Tqkd7m0aXTojJv2WNMxQc8ZPxlkz6yUyeGNOMHif26U5mehVY1ljGDrTT-Aa2WH1TugwMiLONQJi_dhd9t7dSP2-LeQHAtx881soDs/s400/DSCN2009+%25283%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5598961283893423250" />
PETER COTTONTAIL says...
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!!!!Cross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-88090606883850282142011-04-07T17:16:00.002-04:002011-04-07T17:22:03.558-04:00COMING SOON ~ PETER COTTONTAIL!Coming soon will be Peter Cottontail!

He is finished being stitched and backstitched.
So today I have purchased fabric and acid free mat board with all other supplies.

Hopefully by this coming week Mr. Cottontail will be showing you his Easter baskets and ready to hide his eggs.

He is also hoping spring will get here and soon!

Until We Meet Again...
Happy Stitching!
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-73532915360559959722011-04-01T00:21:00.003-04:002011-04-01T01:09:54.647-04:00SEXAGENARIAN ~ HOW DID I GET HERE?As the month of March ends and April begins I have become a "SEXAGENARIAN".
Sounds like a dirty word!

On March 20th I celebrated my birthday with my family. My husband informed me that I just became a "Sexagenarian". My reply to him was...what?
The word itself seems like such a big mouthful when speaking it. But knowing the definition is just as big too. Sexagenarian just means anyone between the age of
60-69 years old. Oh yes...that is me!!

Moving on to March 29th we celebrated my oldest son's birthday. He is a "Tricenarian". To me that word doesn't sound as bad as "Sexagenarian". It only means the age of 30-39 years of age.

On my birthday I was ask...feel any older?
My answer was...no, not really.
However, turning 60 years old makes me stop to think about life. First thing going thorough my mind was...how did I get here? Sixty years, where have the years gone?
Then I think to myself...where do I want my life to go from here?
I have told myself turning 60 years of age is a "new chapter" in my life and looking forward to the years ahead of me.
Afterall, I am now living my 7th decade!
Now that is a thought!

Of all the wonderful Birthday wishes and gifts I received the best was spending the day with my family. My youngest son said to me...Mom, you look much younger than 60
years old.

Just a note to all my blogging friends...if you haven't turned 60 years old yet, don't worry as it isn't all bad!

Until We Meet Again..
Happy Stitching!
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-58035395453815511482011-03-17T11:15:00.001-04:002011-03-17T11:17:06.182-04:00St. Patrick's DayWishing all...
HAPPY ST.PATRICK'S DAY!!!!

CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-24067647763884976732011-03-14T10:34:00.002-04:002011-03-14T10:49:27.264-04:00EASTER BUNNY "UPDATE"Just a quick "update".

EASTER BUNNY will soon be finished and ready for framing or a flatfold.
I am stitching the last basket on his back and then on to backstitching.

This pattern has been such an enjoyment to stitch with all the bright colors.
So Easter looking!

I am leaning toward doing a "flatfold" finishing. I haven't ever tried my hand at a "flatfold" so I am pretty excited thinking ... do it! I will be in a fabric shop this week looking at Easter fabric. So, we will see...

I have to give credit where credit is due. I have been inspired by The Twisted Stitcher tutorial on her "flatfold". The tutorials are so helpful. The name of this book is Holiday Reverie and the pattern is "EASTER".
This book offers patterns for all holidays and is such an enjoyment to stitch the many holiday patterns. I must say, these patterns are a challenge.
As I was stitching one night I got to wondering what year this book was published. To my surprise, copyright 1997. I have collected most of the Leisure Arts Books which are all cross stitch and they are just the best. This is a series of cross stitch books and I am thinking there are 21 books. They never go out of style!

I will be sharing a picture when finished but at this time a picture taken from the Leisure Arts Book. Just so you know where I am on my stitching... I have stitched the bunny and one little chick. So, I feel pretty good about finshing my EASTER BUNNY by Easter.

Until we meet again...
Happy Stitching!
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6800848004804117634.post-6409274547138891802011-02-14T08:25:00.002-05:002011-02-14T08:27:59.889-05:00VALENTINE'S DAYWishing all...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!

Until we meet again,
Happy Stitching!
CROSS STITCH WOMANCross Stitch Womanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05207164256374947869noreply@blogger.com0
