If most of your time will be at the pool in the Summer away from home, then water resistance is the way to go. It would be a feature very helpful on a crowded beach.

How far the device will track your child is another critical advantage. If your child takes off and doesn’t know which direction to go they may wander far in a direction furthest from you rather than turning back.
