As companies increase their spending on wireless and adopt ever- more-sophisticated mobile devices, managing service costs, security and procurement has become critical. However, Gartner analysts said that many companies still do not have thorough wireless usage policies.

		<description>I have been out of action for a while due to work commitment. My team has achieved loads of sustainable results over the past few months. With sustainability as the driving force behind my work and life, I want to change the way I update my blog. Very often, I want to share my thoughts but I have only fragments of ideas and information available to write a detailed article (as I used to do that in the past). A long article takes up a lot of my time and I can't share fast enough. There are events that transpire daily that become old news the very next day. So, from now on, to ensure blogs are updated regularly, I will not be particular about the length of article. Instead, I will focus on the freshness of content.

You know that a great strategy has gone wrong when Sales and business development folks go all out to cling deals to meet numbers without considering whether the company can cope with the demand. Do your due diligence before making outsourcing your preferred mode of operation. I would recommend that organization first operate the “proposed outsourcing work” internally to get a feel of what needs to be outsourced. A wholesale outsource without proper planning will hurt bottom-line and impacts business performance. Plan as though you will be recruiting full time staff to carry out the tasks. Then where applicable, perform the activities in house and measure the performance.

Retrenchment is in the news everywhere and we are looking at 5 figures loss of jobs every month. This is a cyclical problem where companies purge excess in bad times. When economy picks up, companies will be rushing to fill up vacancies to meet the renew demand of the market. To avoid retrenching employees, during good times, companies should exercise discretion in their hiring process. Perhaps this is one area to focus on when we discuss on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
