Why Write a Blog about Corbin’s Grille?

That’s a very good question! The answer is a simple one. Corbin’s Grille is one of the few independent, locally owned restaurants in a sea of chains. I’m not insulting the chains mind you, they wouldn’t be successful if they didn’t have edible to good food, but let’s face it. They’re full of mass-produced personality and absolutely devoid of local flavor… so what does this have to do with a blog? Well I’ll tell you.

We opened Corbin’s Grille in 2006 with the hopes of infusing some local personality into the Layton dining scene, we wanted something casual yet memorable, delightfully delicious and above all something locals could be proud to call their very own. Writing a blog is the perfect extension to this goal!

I personally hope that you’ll love subscribing to the blog to hear stories that will make you smile, food trivia, dining tips and maybe some behind the scenes information on what operating a restaurant is really like. I also hope to see your thoughts and participation in the comment section of every new post, as well as your ideas, your suggestions and your favorite things about Corbin’s Grille.

Cheers!

Jake Garn, Owner Operator, Corbin’s Grille
