The learning curve was torturing on occasion. It seems no matter what I studied, I didn't understand quite enough to put it into practice. Over time with some serious tenacity I became good at enough to start earning some real money in the stock market.

My own major hurdle to gaining skill was there are so many well meaning people willing to extend advice and so many resources online for technical descriptions of several indicators, but nothing I found seemed to help me realize how all these indicator definitions and macroeconomic information fit in concert to forge a decent understanding of technical trading. I imagine I can save you some time and tons of frustration with this convenient little introduction.

An overview of technical analysis.

I imagine if you are interested in technical analysis sufficiency to read this far, you are already familiar with how the stock market functions and how to purchase and trade stocks. I hope so because it is a requirement. Bear in mind this is an casual overview of the learning path many traders, myself included have taken to understand Technical Analysis.

Technical Analysis - Fundamental Topics. What is Technical Analysis? For the unaware, there are two ranking sorts of Stock Analysis.

Technical and Fundamental Analysis Although the two are not incompatible, traders tend to prefer one over the other. Fundamental Analysis looks at a company s assets, debt, earnings and cash flow. It gives the analyst a clear impression of a company's health. When an analysis of one company is equated to its peers (groups of companies in the same business) it imparts clues about prospective weaknesses and strengths of the company. Its also usable in valuating a company's long term chances for growth.

Technical Analysis looks to exploit the collective knowledge of open market participants (other traders) who are by-and-large Fundamental Analysts. Technical Analysis is essentially a study of supply and demand. So, lets discover exactly how Technical Analysts use the market as their guide to trading markets.

A Simplistic Technical Analysis Example: Price Speaks Volumes Initially, recognize that Price and Volume are both technical indicators. Price being of course the cardinal indicator over any other. Each time a stock price moves up it bespeaks a vote of confidence by all participants. Sellers stood firm for a higher price than the prevailing rate and buyers stepped in and purchased at that price anyway. Sellers holding firm for more money while buyers step in to pay the difference between the market and asking price demonstrates market optimism.

Volume is the amount of shares exchanged over time. Technical traders look at price and volume in concert to estimate how optimistic or pessimistic buyers and sellers are and perhaps are becoming. Growth in volume across a given time-frame bespeaks profit-maximizing participation and hence progressive strong belief that prices will carry on to move in the current direction. Whereas, when volume begins to wane it is an indicator that market players are losing their conviction that prices will go along in their current direction.

When volume is increasing along with prices, players anticipate prices to continue to go up. Technical traders speculate that prices will increase as long as volume is stronger than average. If prices continue to mount while at the same time volume begins to flatten out, the participants are voting with fewer shares. This circumstance is a variety of technical breakdown.

Typical Volume Based Price Breakdown. One more phenomenon to think about is that once price direction varies, volume may begin to increase, once again supporting the conviction of market players of the new price direction. When an indicator such as volume starts to jibe with the price direction, this is known as a kind of price confirmation.

Technical Analysis Indicators Aside from the simple indicators of price and volume, there are countless indicators and more are produced every day. An indicator can frequently be something as casual as a moving average or far more complex. As you've learned already, indicators are an pivotal part of understanding and anticipating market activity. All technical analysis indicators fit two clear families.

It is important to observe that market circumstances dictate which form you will use, but never ignore price. Indicators are forecasters, but price speaks volumes, only prices are reality.

Leading indicators are used in sideways markets. Leading indicators react before price does. Most leading indicators try to demonstrate shifts in the strength or force of price direction, or momentum. Leading indicators are useful to assist traders anticipate price trends because they can depict the strength or weakness of prices at their current level. Leading indicators do not do well as buy/sell indicators in steady trending markets (up or down) because they indicate changes in momentum. They do well in sideways markets and give traders precise signals about when to buy or sell.

Some usable leading indicators include Momentum, Stochastic and the Relative Strength Indicator (RSI). The RSI (leading indicator flags the overbought condition).

Lagging Indicators / Trend Following Indicators Use in trending markets (moving up / moving down).

Lagging indicators follow price moves. A moving average is a simplified kind of lagging indicator. Lagging indicators are frequently employed when the markets are in a very strong trend. They rapidly show traders the average direction of a stock price. They can send erroneous signals in markets that are trading at parity / proceeding sideways. Their optimal use is in trending markets because they can clearly show traders when to enter and how long to remain.

The most popular lagging Indicators include Moving Average, Exponential Moving Average and Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) The moving average is a Trend Following Indicator.

Technical Analysis Understanding time frames. In Technical Analysis, indicators are insignificant without understanding them in the context of time. Indicators, leading and lagging both use time and price as the very basis of any formula. It may help to consider time frames as magnification of detail. If you consider a one year weekly chart and zoom into a one year daily chart, you are straightaway aware that you can see price action in deeper detail. Likewise traveling from a one year daily chart to a three month daily chart affords even greater detail of the price activity.

More about time frames in technical analysis: Watching multiple time frames exposes greater detail.

What kind of trader are you? Do you buy into a trade and then watch impatiently at every tick in the stock price? Or are you more of a set it and forget it kind of trader who monitors the price every few days or weeks? Maybe your style is somewhere in between? Why is this critical and what does it have to do with time frames? read on.

The Day Trader Day Traders speedily buy and sell stocks multiple times a day to attempt to seal in quick profits. The Day Trader examines chart patterns and indicators which may span only a few hours or even a few minutes. Day trading is a speculative job where great amounts are realized or lost in mere seconds. Day Traders pay precise attention to tick-by-tick price information as it comes out on their screen in real time.

Under FINRA and NYSE rules, a trader once flagged and classified as a pattern day trader, must keep up a $25,000 account balance must obtain a margin account. For more info on day trading refer to the FINRA Notice to Members and the NYSE Information Memo.

The Active Trader - Momentum Trader Although there is no standard definition as with the Day Trader, the Active Trader looks for trends that cross from a few months to as little as a few days. A typical trade for an Active Trader trader can be really short, perhaps a day or may last for some months as long as the underway trend is intact.

Active Trader Strategy - The Swing Trader Although the strategy used by the swing trader is very similar to that of the Active Trader, the central deviation is that the swing trader looks to maximize profits by capitalizing of the natural downturns in an overall upward trending stock. The Swing Trader cycles in and out of the trade repeatedly until the general trend weakens before making a last exit. Swing traders must observe the price activity more often than the active momentum trader since the swing trade requires frequent attention.

About the Author:

see more Stock Market Tradingarticles, tips and info at StockChartGrabber.com Don't reprint this exact article. While the state politicians continue to argue over a solution for their rising energy costs, the closest thing to an answer they came up with was electricity deregulation law.

What this does is allow customers in the state of Texas to choose their electricity service provider. In the beginning this new law brought excitement and change to each city, and about 85% of the commercial customers switched their providers at least once. Then of course residential changes hit around 40%. These are quite astounding numbers, and it's hard to believe it took this long to make the change.

The early evidence was auspicious as a number of new firms entered the market. It appeared as if the increased competition from deregulation would lower prices. In the two years after deregulation, more than 60 startup firms entered the Texas electricity market. These new firms served both residential and commercial areas.

The problem was it didn't work like most people believed. In fact, it completely went in the opposite direction raising prices over 40%. This occurred during a 3 year span between 2002 and 2004. This left consumers in the state feeling mistreated.

Proponents of deregulation tried desperately to explain the situation. They claimed that electricity prices were increasing because energy costs for natural gas, an important power plant fuel, had reached an all time high. In fact, in the same period that electricity prices had gone up by 40 percent, natural gas prices had gone up by more than 60 percent, which means that deregulation actually ended up saving customers money.

The biggest issue that they tried to confront head-on was the misconception of immediate savings due to the vast amount of competition. While this was going on, there were several individuals still remaining skeptical about the situation. It was almost as if they were being sold a false bill by politicians and legislators.

In the end, supporters and economists ended up being right. When the natural gas industry started to decline and stabilized, the electricity bills around the state began to decrease. This revelation eventually brought about a decrease of 30% by the summer of 2008 through the winter of 2009.

Unfortunately the debate continues, and others are expressing their concerns about these benefits only happening because of the recession mixed in with the current natural gas costs. The truth is, the further into the recession we go, the lower the prices will go.

These falling prices have been a great boon to businesses in Texas who have been forced to cut prices and tighten their in the midst of the worsening recession. In fact, many small business owners claim that lower electricity costs are at least partially responsible for helping them keep afloat.

About the Author:

About the author: Jerry Dyess has specialized in Electricity for the past 7 years. With the holidays and the year beginning to wind down, I felt the timeliness of this message could not be better.

Oh the Holidays... The crisp snap of the winter breeze, lights emerging from every corner imaginable; illuminating the evening skies like the sun just squeezed itself through the screen door. It's a time for celebration, a time for reflection. For smiles, and long overdue embraces that have sat on shelves collecting the dust of neglect.

For too many people the world over, this holiday brings with it a new anticipation. The close of the year is upon us, the months passed have been marked with a collective anxiety of what is to come. Will it get better? Has the worst of it passed? What will I do next year?

Entrepreneurs are not immune to these same moments of uncertainty, however when one has the reigns in their hands the navigation of these troublesome times is infinitely easier.

This Holiday season holds a special anticipation for me personally. The birth of my second child is imminent (and I mean imminent, the bag is packed by the door). I know many of you reading this are parents as well. You know all too well the worry and the hope. The desire for everything to be better for them, than it was for you. It's why we put in the hours, sacrifice daily, sleep less, desire more.

As I think of all the things I must teach my baby girl in the coming years; reading, potty training, table manners and the like, it has occurred to me that what I want her to know most of all is that it matters not where you're from or where you are, it's where you are going. (I've also gotten some great advice from experienced family man and my business partner, Aaron Parkinson.)

We are all someone's children. We all have a hometown, a first kiss, a first disappointment, a first job. But the reality is these things, while important in the shape of our being, have no bearing on where our lives may take us. What we desire in life, what we desire for our children, lies ahead and not behind us.

As we come into this new year, let's embrace the promise of infinite possibility. Forget whatever hurdle or misstep may have plagued you this past year and focus on where you want to be.

After all, it doesn't matter where you're from, it's about where you're going.

About the Author:

To communicate with Jay Kubassek, you may befriend him on Facebook here: http://facebook.com/jaykubassek

The lack of legislation is the leading cause of the radical variations of health plans. From insurance company to insurance company, there is a significant discrepancy of rates, policies and medical coverage.

Data, released by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), shows that Midwesterners rank the highest among the uninsured that defer medical care due to cost. Illinoisans can use the subsequent information to find sufficient medical coverage.

Are there any specific underwriting guidelines for Illinois health insurance coverage? Insurance carriers, offering medical coverage in Illinois are not required to adhere to any specific guidelines. As a result, health plan terms and rates are not standardized. Each year, providers raise the premiums, co-payments, co-insurance and other policies.

Does Illinois have any caps on insurance offered via individual market? The individual markets do not have any caps on Illinois health insurance terms. To prevent opting for the price gouging or the potential of an inflating health plan, consumers should seek the professional advice of a broker, who can research a policy, recommending a medical policy geared to accommodate discerning health necessities.

At Illinois Life and Health.com, president Michael Novelli suggests a three-tier methodology to obtain affordable Illinois health insurance:

Provide a comprehensive overview of medical background. Regularly, Illinoisan, who are in the market for medical coverage are rejected because they neglect to provide a complete composite of previous medical conditions that were resolved. In circumstances, where the insurance company underwrites an Illinois health insurance policy, the premiums and terms are so disproportionate to the actual covered benefits.

Obtain as many health quotes as possible. Through the evaluation of various insurance policies, Illinoisans can analyze costs to determine which health plans present the best care. To calculate areas to save on health insurance, compare the medical coverage for the family to an individual policy.

About the Author:

For additional resources about Illinois medical insurance or to obtain an Illinois health insurance quote, visit Illinois Life & Health.com. If you need someone that you can rely on then Gary Ostrow is the person to represent you. He has vast experience in lawsuits and his knowledge is advanced. He is a candidate for the Broward County public defender.

Gary Ostrow is honest and hard working and values every ones personal circumstances. Aged 52 Gary Ostrow has had years of experience working in the legal system. He is hoping to be given the position as a Broward Public Defender. He treats each case individually and evaluates each case differently. Every client is given the utmost respect and dignity.

Each case is treated differently. When a case needs more attention then Gary Ostrow will work until he finds a solution. He is a man who is respected by people in authority. He has worked for many years in all areas of the legal system and has fantastic qualifications. He has studied at some of the best educational institutes for law. During his time as a lawyer he has worked for some very complex cases that required specialism in certain issues.

If you need the kind of representation that is first class then he has the experience to handle your case. No matter what situation you find yourself in then you need someone who has the experience to support your case. It can be a worrying and anxious time when you have to appear in court.

Gary Ostrow has advanced educational requirements and is able to manage such serious crime as death cases. He has dealt with some very complex cases as well as homicides. Gary Ostrow is used to complying with the law and has been licensed for over 26 years.

The lawyer should never do anything that would put the client at jeopardy. A lawyer must provide evidence that helps the client. All communications are confidential and must be treated sensitively. It does not matter what the client is supposed to have done they are innocent until proven guilty.

The lawyer must work to help the client's claim progress. It is of importance that the lawyer provides clear evidence that will support the client. The lawyer has a duty to serve their client once they take the case on. He has a long standing good history in the court of law. His expertise is superior and he is one of the best Defense lawyers around.

Now that Greg Ostrow's reputation has been blackened it is highly unlikely that he will ever work as a lawyer again. At the age of 52 one would have expected him to set a better example. It is doubtful that he will ever be trusted by officials ever again.

Cocaine is a drug that is being used more often. It is a serious drug that can cause a lot of damage to the body. Many deaths have been caused by cocaine overdose. It is a highly addictive drug.

About the Author:

If you want to read more about Gary Ostrow and how the Fort Lauderdale Criminal Defense system works, then you must check out the above links. This really isn't about arguing whether or not you agree with same sex marriages or you are part of an anti-gay group. It's really about outlining the reasons for desiring protection.

There is no doubt that gay couples pay more in taxes when compared to the same income bracket hetero households. Without the ability to apply the usual benefits that married couples can apply, that het households with children can apply, and the basic filing options provided, taxes are simply a higher expense. Most couples end up paying about three quarters and change more than their straight counterparts.

Of course, while there are many companies that are stepping up and offering health insurance to employees with same sex partners, the health insurance crisis within the gay community can be significantly higher than that of the straight community. The considered income of the additional partner's health insurance is taxed, whereas heterosexual health insurance coverage is not. A single family's income can be significantly impacted by the ill health of one partner, yet reimbursement and deductions are often not permitted when the healthy partner becomes financially involved. It creates quite a tax mess.

Most couples in the family that either own property together or they have children together are likely to need legal counsel and representation. Everything from their intentions to their monetary assets must be documented and legally regulated in order to make sure that family heirlooms to children stay within the immediate family. Some gay couples find that even with their legal documentation, they have nothing backing them up.

Naturally, the expenses associated with having children are significantly higher than it is for most hetero couples. Sure, the argument about how we shouldn't have children could interjected, but this isn't about right or wrong. This is just a factual account of modern same sex couple-hood. Just getting pregnant can run higher than $75,000 for the average couple who doesn't conceive within the first six months.

Later in life, domestic partners cannot collect any death benefits from Social Security. When it comes to pensions, it is up to the deceased partner's company to decide if they will pay anything to the surviving partner.

Children who are not biologically related to one parent will find that they can not expect their abilities to make medical decisions for their parent without appropriate paperwork. Likewise, the same can be said for minor children under the care of their non-biological parent. Second parent adoptions help to clear up these issues, but few states permit them. A non-biological parent can still be held accountable for the medical bills.

Sure, there are many people who will tell us that this is just the natural consequence of that "deviant" lifestyle, or whatever the word of the moment might be. It's different when you see it all in black and white. Suddenly you can see clearly how our money is accepted anywhere that we are not.

About the Author:

Howie Holben authored this article. With snowcapped alps, the magnificent French Riviera, world famous art collections, pristine beaches, pastoral landscapes dotted with medieval castles, villages and ruins that tell the story of Frances diverse history, and the truly exquisite cosmopolitan city of Paris, travelers are sure to find exactly what they are looking for when visiting this unique country.

Gay vacations often center around Paris and its vibrant LGBT community, cultural and historical landmarks and accepting cosmopolitan environment, visitors will find that throughout France there is plenty to do and see, as well as many LGBT establishments and a welcoming atmosphere. Laws outlawing sodomy were abolished over 200 years ago and Frances LGBT community has enjoyed civil unions for the last decade. With legal protections in place and a general laissez-faire attitude that is common among the French, visitors will find that France provides an accepting and safe gay tours.

There are several community events throughout the year, including a huge pride parade and festival and a gay and lesbian film festival in Paris, as well as several smaller pride celebrations across the country. Other Paris attractions that should not be missed on a gay vacation include ArtMenParis, an art gallery devoted solely to images of men; Legay Choc, an LGBT-owned bakery in the Marais district; and Chez Michou, Madame Arthur and LArtishow, cabarets featuring female impersonators. As for the Paris nightlife, bars are typically open from afternoon until 2am; whereas, clubs often do not open until midnight and stay open as late as noon.

For men in search of the bawdier side of gay vacations in Paris, sex clubs, bars with backrooms and popular cruising spots are readily available. There are also plenty of saunas (bathhouses) to choose from; however, French saunas operate differently than what some travelers might be accustomed to in Canada or America. In France, saunas have relaxation cubicles rather than private rooms for rent and visiting saunas is largely an afternoon activity, with Sunday afternoons being the most popular time.

Most gay travel hotspots cater largely to men, have little to no visible lesbian presence and offer few establishments dedicated to the lesbian community. Women will be delighted to discover that this is not the case in Paris. Parisian lesbians and visitors enjoy a multitude of venues and organizations that can be found throughout the city, but particularly in the neighborhoods of Marais, Grands Boulevards, Halles-Beaubourg, Saint Germain des Pres and Palais Royal. Palais Royal is home to one of the oldest lesbian bars in Paris, while the Bastille-Republique district has a delightful community bookstore with a distinct Sapphic flare. There is also a lesbian walking group and even a sex shop that caters solely to women.

Paris is sure to remain the most popular spot for a gay trip in France; however there are several other places to choose from, including Nice and Montpellier on the Mediterranean, Annecy in the Alps, Nantes in Brittany and Avignon in Provence, as well as the well-known LGBT beaches in Camargue, where nudism is the norm. Folks who would like to play among the rich and famous should definitely head to Saint Tropez on the French Riviera, while those in search of a more romantic respite might prefer an LGBT-owned bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Bourdeaux. With so many gay travel options available throughout France, it is clear that this diverse, unique country is the perfect choice for gay romantic travel.

About the Author:

Written by Howie Holben. These lawyers deal with accidents that take part on the open road. We all know that sometimes insurance companies can be biased; therefore hiring an accident attorney can assure you that justice will be served for your injuries.

Insurance companies will give a estimation of how much they are willing to pay the other person's insurance company. Their goal is to rectify the outstanding claim as soon as possible, so it can be free from their office.

The only way to get a claim removed from an insurance office, is for an agent to have the other party who will be accepting the claim sign off on it. Now, after you have signed off on the claim that is it, you get the money for your damages, cased closed.

However, for the person that has to suffer simply because of the accident that they were in, it is a big deal. Insurance companies are going to try to throw their figures at you in a means for you to say okay and accept the payment on your claim.

Insurance companies work their claims on a peculiar scale. They first go out to the scene of the accident in order to record damages to both the insured's vehicle as well as the opposing parties vehicle also. They look over the damages of the other party's vehicle and analyze any injuries as well.

The insurance company will then turn to offer you an amount that they feel they should pay you. As you would expect, this amount is fairly low, and for anyone that has been victim of an accident is nowhere close to the amount you need to survive.

Most people take the claim because they do not think that they could get anything better for their accident, and they think about their families survival. You should never have to accept a claim that you feel is unjust, just to be able to make it through your day to day activities.

A Los Angeles Accident attorney specializes in getting their clients the most for their escapade that occurred. Let's go over an example accident and see the way that the insurance company handled the claim for the opposing party.

There is both car a and car b that are driving. Car A is the person held liable for the accident because they forced the other car, car B into a T-bone like accident. The person in Car B is rushed to the hospital to rectify their injuries.

Two weeks after the accident has occurred the opposing parties insurance company sends a claim amount over for the driver in car B to agree upon. The company is offering $2,000 for the damages to their vehicle as well as $1,000 for hospital expenses and another payment for $600 for any other damages.

But, the driver in car B has to wait 8 weeks to be able to work, and their house payment plus their utilities for a month equal over $2500. What would you do in this situation?

About the Author:

If you have been caught up in an accident or have caused one, and you need to get some counsel from a Los Angeles accident attorney then you should not hesitate to visit the following website. For the great majority of us it will simply remain dormant all our lives and we will not even be aware of it. For others it may surface unexpectedly from time to time in the form of premonitions or dreams or feelings of dj vu. For a minority, they have strong clairvoyant abilities that are unfocussed. For those who wish to develop and focus this rare gift, it is now possible become a true clairvoyant online.

Clairvoyance has been part and parcel of mankind's history since the dawn of the earliest civilizations. Sometimes revered, often feared, clairvoyants have played a pivotal role in helping to shape the lives of many great people. But for what was once considered to be something like a secret cult, the secrets of clairvoyance are now available on the internet. Those wishing to discover more about this, and those who harbor a desire to get actively involved in this realm of the paranormal, becoming a clairvoyant online is now a real option for the first time.

The gift of clairvoyance can give people visions of events occurring in another time and place (the future or the past or in another part of the country) or a strong feeling or premonition about something that will occur. Some people discover their gift when they have a near death experience while others may find that a dangerous or stressful circumstance preempts its discovery. And while the power lies in the deep recesses of the mind, clairvoyant online sites are now available to help access and develop that power.

In the universe, all things are connected-the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, and even the molecules and atoms that make up every part of every thing. Clairvoyance helps you tap into this universal source of all things in an almost spiritual way. Everything is already there and all around you all the time, but in order to perceive it, you need to disconnect yourself from the material world.

You need to develop a complete sense of isolated calm, to achieve a vacuum of mind and thought so that your mind becomes like a blank page that the universal messages can be written on. In order to achieve this trance-like state, meditative exercises such as yoga can be helpful. The clairvoyant online sites are useful in informing how this state of readiness can best be achieved.

Before you can follow the techniques learned via clairvoyant sites online, you must first accept and believe in clairvoyance and the paranormal. If you do not believe, you have no foundation on which to build your clairvoyant skills and abilities. You need to go back to the mindset you had as a small child when everything was possible, before you became attuned to doubts, misgivings, suspicion, and untruth.

When you believe, you will be able to achieve the meditative state required to open your mind to the possibilities of clairvoyance. You will focus on achieving this sense of calm and well being, free from all negativity. And then you are in a place where the universe can communicate with you-through sounds, feelings, words, thoughts, or images.

Clairvoyant online sites will also help you learn to recognize and understand the communication you may receive. Initially those messages may come to you in bits and pieces, seemingly unrelated and perhaps irrelevant. But all knowledge of the universe is relevant in some way. You just need to figure out what it is.

Clairvoyant online sites also teach you how to discern and understand the messages you receive. The first thing you will learn is that should never push or force the process. The messages you receive must all come as they are meant to come, unrushed and unhindered. When your mind drifts back to earthly matters or concerns or becomes focused on a conscious thought, it is not open to the universal truth and could be your own ego suggesting a message.

As you begin to experience clairvoyance, it will come slowly and build from there. Perhaps you will begin by hearing a small sound or seeing just a color. Maybe you will feel an emotion. Eventually you may even watch as an event unfolds right before your eyes in your mind. But your mind must be clear and free from all other things to be a true clairvoyant experience. Clairvoyant sites online will help you learn the distinctions so that when the experience comes to you, you will recognize it without any doubt.

About the Author:

The writer Deborah Reed writes for the http://www.develop-clairvoyance.com website. Unfortunately this same climate has prompted others to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers' wishes to save energy and reduce expenses.

Companies that tout power factor improvement (kVAR correction) and transient voltage suppression are a good example of this bad trend. Lately we are seeing more and more of these companies cropping up and feel it is time to set the record straight.

First, transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS) plays a valuable role in improving power quality to protect sensitive equipment inside a facility. However, TVSS does not save energy. TVSS's are only active a tiny fraction of a second to protect against voltage surges which only last for less than a millisecond. To actually reduce energy consumption the TVSS would need to actually cut power consumption for an extended period of time which is not what they are designed to do. Again, TVSS is important to protect sensitive electrical equipment but buyers should avoid vendors promising, or even guaranteeing, that they will reduce energy consumption.

Now what about vendors who claim that improving power factor will save 15% or 20% or 30% of energy consumption and corresponding cost? This one is a little trickier.

For residential applications, power factor does nothing to save energy because the typical home already has an average power factor of about 0.97 which is almost the perfect power factor of 1 or unity. In addition, the device (called a capacitor) is placed at the main circuit breaker. According to IEEE 5.5.3.3 capacitors must be situated at or near the respective inductive loads to reduce power system losses by reducing heat and distribution losses known as I2R losses.

So what about commercial and industrial facilities using power factor correction to reduce energy costs? It is perfectly appropriate for a company that is incurring penalties or a kVA billing structure from the utility company to improve the facility's overall power factor by employing a capacitor bank at the main service entrance or individual capacitors at or near the respective motor loads. Doing so will eliminate the power factor penalties and/or reduce the kVA demand charges on the utility bill which can save significant money and provide a significant ROI on the investment.

But what about power factor correction reducing kWh consumption? IEEE also tells us that I2R losses only account for 2 to 5% of the total load in a facility. Simple math tells us that it would be against the laws of physics to get the 15% to 30% energy reduction claimed by some vendors. Think about it. Even if your facility had 5% distribution losses and you could correct 100% of the problem via power factor correction at every load (which can't be done) you would still only save 5% at the most. No where near the claims of some capacitor vendors and manufacturers.

All that said, power factor correction when done properly will eliminate utility penalties and kVA demand charges, improve facility power quality, increase electrical system capacity, and save a little energy when applied to the appropriate motor loads.

So make an investment in transient voltage surge suppression and power factor correction when appropriate and necessary. But caveat emptor!

About the Author:

Save Money On Your Company's Energy Bill, visit Energy Edge Technologies site for strategies on saving a tremendous amount of capital on your Corporate Energy Bill or call 888-729-5722 Ext. 100.

The funds are utilized to support several different programs. There is money for specific groups or industries as well as funding that is earmarked for specific projects.

To administer such a extensive initiative with so many distinct topics of focus the government uses a number of agencies. There are 26 agencies in total and the agencies are responsible for administering the day to day tasks for funding initiatives. These administrative organizations are responsible for creating precise funding program guidelines and oversee the funding process.

For any organizations to receive public cash via a funding initiative they are obligated go through one of the 26 administrative organizations. Outlined below are several of the administrative organizations that are in charge of administering public grant programs.

Department of Housing and Urban Development Tasked with residential development and increasing home ownership, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is important for the domestic housing market. Through close partnerships with local groups and a focus on accountability the agency has assisted many home buyers obtain homes.

Department of the Interior The Department of the Interior ensures the safety of the nation's environment including public forests and watersheds. The leader of the most powerful country in the world announce that the federal government would no longer prosecute people who smoked pot for medicinal purposes. Now all those sick pot smokers can light up without fear from the feds.

But not any more because our leader has let all the weed smokers know they have nothing to fear because the feds will no longer prosecute those who use pot for medicinal reasons in states that allow such use. Those who smoke pot to ease their pain are now free to light up.

We know the pain pot cures. It has to do with easing what is known as the pain of living in this real world. If you live in this tough world of having to go to work for a demanding boss and with difficult co-workers then surely you have eight hours of pain you have to soothe with a few hits off your pipe.

Who cannot understand the need for a little medicine after such a hard day at work? Surely our leader understands this. And for you students that have to deal with tests and mean teachers. Who can blame you for being sick of school. Who can deprive the student of his medicine after a hard day in the classroom. All the pain filled pot smoker needs is a prescription from an understanding doctor.

I read an article years ago. It was a fictional piece that had the then vice president Dan Quayle now serving as president of the U. S. Dan Quayle as president was signing the bill to make drugs like pot legal. He said as he signed it, "all right lets give it a try." The writer was no doubt one of the many political writers who questioned the intelligence of the then vice president. The article then went on to predict the horrendous results of the decision to legalize drugs like pot.

Such articles were one of many that kept Quayle from even considering a presidential run. He would have been laughed out of the race before the first primary. Those who hated his conservative stand were sure to smear him as an inept politician. And the article portraying him as thinking legalizing illegal drugs as a worthwhile experiment was one way he was depicted as unqualified to be our leader.

However today think our current leader is highly intelligent. He has for all intents and purposes made pot, a once illegal drug, legal. Do not talk about the medicinal qualification, that is only a weak facade. A small piece of paper from an agreeable doc is all that is needed to get high legally.

So where are those writers who made fun of a man who they said might have made drugs like pot legal? Perhaps because they consider the man who legalized pot to be so intelligent that perhaps they are saying, "all right let's give it a try.

About the Author:

Want to find out more about marijuana dispensary in Venice, then visit the Beach House Collective's site on how to choose the best dispensary for your needs.

If this is the case, or you are just looking for some great titles for yourself, this article will go into a little detail about some of the best suspense fiction books. These selections are sure to warrant some large smiles come Christmas morning. These books are guaranteed to grip you from beginning to end.

It can be easy to say that one book is better than another. Frankly, this is when you have to rely on reader reviews and ratings. The novels listed are what people believe to be the best suspense fiction novels of all time.

The first choice A Stranger Is Watching comes thundering out of 1977, and it is from a well anchored name in suspense fiction: Mary Higgins Clark. The story details a man who is trying to move on with his life after is wife is murdered. Shortly before the convicted killer is to be executed, the man's son and new girlfriend are kidnapped. The race begins to figure out the how, when and why of this classic suspense novel. Apart from this novel's release, Mary Higgins Clark has written roughly 50 other engrossing and suspenseful tales.

Another hit is the 1992 classic Along Came A Spider by James Patterson. In this gripping novel, Patterson pens the first of his series of books with Detective Alex Cross as the protagonist. The story follows the pursuit of a maniacal genius who has abducted two different children from two reputable families in the Washington D. C. Area. Will Cross be able to apprehend the criminal? Will he save the children in time?

The next book is considered the best selling suspense novel of all time, and that is: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. This book was first released in 1939, and it has seen some facelifts for the cover's sake many times (the most recent in 2001). The story depicts ten very different people stranded on an island. They begin to die mysteriously in accordance with an old, wicked nursery rhyme. The question is: can you peg the murderer?

Another brilliant novel upon this listing is A Simple Plan from Scott B. Smith which was brought out in 1993. It depicts the lives of 3 acquaintances that bechance over a destroyed airplane. Within this airplane are a pulse less pilot and a traveling bag chockfull of money... 4 million bucks to be precise. Rather than notifying the police, they prepare a plan to hide the money underground and hold off an entire year prior to splitting it evenly. The best laid plans... And so forth. This novel is powerful and absorbing, and a great read for just about anybody upon your list.

The last on the list of what some consider being the best suspense novels of all time is the 1967 classic Lemon in the Basket. This book details the lives of the Tyler family. The overlying theme of the book is to exploit the little known secrets and hidden flaws of what appears to be the perfect family. When a stranger shows up and seeks refuge and care with the Tylers, things soon seem to unravel. In the not-too-distant past the definition of words was often set in concrete. Today the meaning can change in the blink of an eye. With new and faster ways to exchange ideas and with wider and more culturally, socially and educationally diverse groups connecting together - words are put back on the hard anvil of evolution and transformed into something new and more reflective of current life and living.

There's a significant global movement happening where consumers are asking business to take care of the things they care about such as the less fortunate in society and the environment. The request is mainly tacit and despite it being an ironic request it by far indicates still that we are in a time of vast change. Consumers these days want their cake and eat it. They not only want cheap products, they also want the environment to be preserved and they want workers to be well looked after.

There may not seem an answer to this complex puzzle and yet one actually exists. It exists in the reforging of a simple single word - GET. Today there is a new movement of people wanting to get but give at the same time and they are reforging its meaning into the word GIVE.

Every day automated email notices arrive from Google Alerts for two keywords - B1G1 and BOGO. I see all the new places these words are being used on the Internet. I can now see that the new meaning of these words is coming alive 'poco a poco' -little by little.

B1G1 and BOGO are acronyms for Buy One GET One free. You buy one and they give you an extra one for the same price.

Look up BOGO on Wikipedia.com (there isn't a definition yet for B1G1) and you will discover these definitions for BOGO:

* An acronym in the retail industry that stands for Buy One Get One. For example, you could say "Buy 1 DVD, Get 1 FREE!

* An acronym in slang British that stands for Britons Of Greek Origin or Greek Britons.

* Bogo, Cebu, a city in central Philippines.

* An alternate name for the Bilen ethnic group of Ethiopia or their language, Blin.

* An alternate name for the Bilen ethnic group of Ethiopia or their language, Blin.

* The mascot of the ITESM CEM.

* BogoMips, an unscientific measurement of CPU speed

* Bogosort, an ineffective sorting algorithm

BOGO light

There's an entrepreneurial business in the USA called SunLight Solar which was founded by Mark Bent. They've created a special torch that's not only an amazing and sturdy solar-powered light; his company also gives a free torch to that in need in developing countries every time one is sold. If you look up their website you will learn more about their "BOGO light".

"The BoGo - our Buy one/Give one - program has successfully provided lights to many, many thousands of people in the developing world, changing lives because of your purchase and participation." - BOGOlight.com

Mark Bent has managed to flip the meaning of the BOGO acronym upside down. For Mark along with thousands of his customers, BOGO now means Buy One GIVE One. A light is given whenever one is sold. Now each sale supports people in remote parts of the world who don't have the benefit of electricity. They can now tap into solar power support themselves.

There are many other well known and less well know businesses now doing Buy One Give One giving or transactional giving as it is becoming known. Some of the famous ones are One-Laptop-Per-Child (OLPC) and TOM'S Shoes. Some of the less well-known ones (in the USA at least) are based in New Zealand, Australia and the UK - Earthstar Publishing, Maple Muesli, Blinds Couture, Figure 8 Body Chains, Sunsplash Homes, Honestly Women magazine and Thavibu Gallery based in Thailand are just a handful of special businesses that are heading the Buy One Give One movement.

There are many Buy One Give One businesses now uniting under the common brand banner of Buy1GIVE1 managed by a Singapore based social enterprise which is becoming the home of transaction-based giving. Any business in the world can now integrate Buy One Give One giving with ease. It's like a 'CSR plug-in' allowing a business to instantaneously start giving from each and every sale, starting from just 1 cent. It's also no longer about giving an equivalent product to someone else. Instead it is about contributing to a project that resonates with a company's activity. For example a restaurant can feed a child, a television retailer can give a cataract blind person the gift of sight (Get Vision-Give Vision), a magazine publisher can plant a tree every time they sell a subscription and a property developer can build a low-cost family home for those in need (Buy1BUILD1) - the list is simply endless.

There is something very special happening these days as more and more people are switching to giving and what are known as 'citizen brands' as a part of their everyday experience. In the 2008 Goodpurpose study of global consumer attitudes it reveals that almost 68% of consumers would choose to remain loyal to a brand during an economic downturn if it supports a good cause. And 71% say that when they think about the economic downturn, they have either given the same or more time and money to good causes. This study also highlighted some other key points as well such as:

* 54% would promote a brand and its products if there was a good cause behind it.

* 52% of consumers globally are more likely to tell others of a brand when it supports a good charity cause over one that doesn't.

* And going even further globally, consumers are voicing a strong desire for marketers to connect their brands to social causes or action. Forty-two percent say that if two products or services are of the same quality and price, commitment to a social purpose trumps factors like design, innovation and brand loyalty when choosing one product brand over another.

Turning Getting into Giving

The new concept of Buy One GIVE One is starting to replace Buy One GET One as the global giving movement led by Buy1GIVE1 ripples out. Right now if you search for the terms B1G1 and BOGO you will find that websites that do Buy1-Give1 giving are on the first page of Google results. Certainly with the large consumer demand shown for products from companies like TOMS Shoes, BOGO lights and OLPC - One Laptop Per Child, this tide is set to continue and spread.

I did a Google search on the 25 topmost key words connected with the keyword BOGO as an experiment to see what would show up. The results were interesting so I have displayed them below. You may notice that right now the word Give doesn't show up. It will be interested to do this test again in twelve months time to see what changes. Consumers are now driving change and yes they want to receive free gifts (traditional B1G1/BOGO) but equally they also want to give to others or see others being given to.

Keyword results:

Free, networking, boots, groups, music, dallas, togo themes, wallpapers, buy, applications, skins, values, coupon, African, gift, photography, blogging, discount, sharing, shopping, pics, join, prose

Transactional or transaction-based giving

Unlike traditional charity giving, Buy One Give One giving is transactional in that every time you buy something, you give something. In the case of SunNight Solar they happen to give a physical light for every light sold. However, in most cases, Buy1GIVE1 associated businesses give in a different way. At Buy1GIVE1, giving can start from just USD 1c contribution per sale and go up to thousands of dollars in the case of Buy1BUILD1. At 1cent almost every business in the world can afford to give from each sale especially when they know 100% contributed goes to the cause.

The actual amount given from each and every sale is not the point of focus with Buy1GIVE1 transaction based giving. It is not about saying 10% is contributed or 5c from each sale - instead the focus is on the story and sharing the simple joy of giving. In the end, if you think that 1c is not a lot to contribute and is not likely to make much of a difference think again and consider the following.

Coffee consumption has spread globally and Brazil is by far the largest coffee producer in the world producing on average 28% of all coffee grown. In 2006 Brazil grew enough coffee to brew 216,400,000,000 (216 billion 400 million) espresso coffees! If we were to make this calculation across global production amounts then we get an amazing number for the daily global consumption of around 2,117,416,830 (2 billion 117 million) cups of coffee - wow! The figures are not easy to find but if we guessed that around 40% of the world's coffee is purchased in coffee shops then we would find that 846 million 966,732 cups are sold commercially each day globally - almost 900 million. This would equate to about'5 million cups in the US alone seeing they purchase around 21% of the world's coffee.

Now imagine that for every cup of coffee sold a child was given clean drinking water from its own well. It costs just 1cent per person per day to do this. Any coffee shop could afford to contribute this amount from the sale of a cup of coffee. Instead of clean water a coffee shop could contribute for the education of coffee farmers' children, costing from 23cents per child per day. The options and stories are unlimited as well as the potential difference that Buy One Give One transactional giving can make to the lives of many.

Transactional giving is the story of the thousand-mile journey starting with that first single step. Digging a well costs a few thousand dollars so it's a big barrier for communities in developing nations. However if you break the cost down it only takes the sale of a cup of coffee to give clean water to a single person for a day1. This is the power of transactional giving. It is like the compound interest of giving - a little turns into a lot very quickly.

Of course any company anywhere in the world can apply transaction-based giving to any of their products or services and do it on their own as some are like TESCO in the UK giving school uniforms to kids in Africa from every uniform purchased in the UK. And yet if companies choose to come together under a commonly recognised banner they have a greater effect. The ripple that one company creates adds to that of another and soon the tidal wave of change flows out into the world benefitting all the companies in the movement. This is the power of giving and doing things together.

Everyone wins with Buy-One-Give-One transaction-based giving. The consumer wins - at no extra cost to themselves they've made a difference to the lives of others through their purchasing choices. The business also wins in so many tangible and intangible ways. And of course the charity partner wins because they are now able to receive small amounts from numerous sources aggregated and paid in a lump sum on a regular basis allowing them to focus on what they do rather than raising funds.

A new beginning

If you go and check Wikipedia.com today for the word BOGO you should find that a new definition has been added. It's time for a tide-change - a change from focusing on GETTING to working with GIVING. I added this small addition to Wikipedia's BOGO definition: "... an acronym in the marketing industry that stands for Buy One GIVE One."

Imagine a world where every time you buy you are giving a gift forward to someone in greater need than you. This is the magic of transactional giving - seamless and simple.

This is the world I choose to be a part of.

And remember - you don't 'get' giving till you get giving.

References:

http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee

http://www.goodpurposecommunity.com/

http://www.scfnw.org.uk/site/article183.html

http://www.scfnw.org.uk/site/article183.html

http://www.scfnw.org.uk/site/article183.html

http://www.dep.org.uk/globalexpress/13/page1.htm

http://www.dep.org.uk/globalexpress/13/page1.htm

Footnotes: 1 Calculated by taking the average cost to dig a well, dividing it by its average expected life without major maintenance divided by the number of people in the community benefiting from the well on a daily basis.

About the Author:

Find out more about how Buy1GIVE1 (BOGO) can transform your business using Cause Marketing. Dubbed as the "Father of the Philippine Revolution", Andres Bonifacio was one of the major leaders in the Philippine revolution against the Spanish rule. He was also attributed as being the founder of the Katipunan. The group's purposes were defend the Filipino people who were exploited by the Spanish government, institute much needed morals and most importantly free the Filipinos from the oppression of the Spaniards by revolution.

Traditionally, declared holidays for heroes commemorate the day their death and how they have died under the hands of the enemy, signifying their sacrifice for the good of others. But, the Andres Bonifacio day differs in one aspect. Though he did sacrifice himself for the good of others, he, however, died not in the hands of the enemy but in the hands of the people he wished to liberate.

The majority of historians hold that Andres Bonifacio's unfortunate demise was the result of the rich vs. poor struggle. They hold that Andres Bonifacio represented the masses or the lower class while Emilio Aguinaldo represented the bourgeois or upper class. Though this may seem a valid argument, I, however do not see it as a struggle between the rich and poor. Andres Bonifacio was executed together with his brother, Procopio, because he allowed himself to wallow in nonsensical politics.

When Andres Bonifacio let himself wallow in the arena of nonsensical politics, he lost his place in the revolutionary government. When the revolutionary government was formally organized, Emilio Aguinaldo was elected as president while Andres Bonifacio, the El Supremo (The Supreme Leader ) of the Katipunan was elected as director of the interior. However, a fellow Katipunero, Daniel Tirona, questioned his capacity to fulfill the obligations as director, citing that such position belongs to a lawyer. Since Andres Bonifacio did not have any legal training, it was improbable that he will be able to satisfy the demands of such post.

This remark infuriated and insulted Andres Bonifacio. He contended that no mention of qualification was ever brought up for the post but that it was only agreed that posts be filled through majority decision. Thus he stated that the previous proceedings invalid. From then on he refused to participate in Aguinaldo's revolutionary government.

His actions, however, forced the revolutionary government to accuse him of treason. For this Andres Bonifacio was tried by court and sentenced. Though President Aguinaldo tried to lessen the sentence by banishing Andres Bonifacio, for some reason this plan did not materialize. Andres Bonifacio and his brother Procopio died through execution in the hands of their fellow countrymen. Many historians hold that someone advised Aguinaldo not to change the death sentence because Andres Bonifacio might only cause more problems within the government should he be allowed to live. Nonsensical politics has once again ravaged life. It has made people foolish politicians, opportunists, exploiters of the weak and the system, compromiser of that which is good and partisans instead of defending the truth.

Today, our society is feeling the pain of foolish politics. Foolish politics has caused government officials to continue to pollute the system knowing that the Ombudsman can always delay or dismiss their cases. This usually happens if that government official is close to the president. Foolish politics has turned important court decisions against the weak. Foolish politics has caused those who guard society to disregard criminals who have friends in power. Foolish politics is the reason why we see persons of doubtful integrity hold government position as if our lives were not at stake.

Andres Bonifacio dreamed of a just and humane society, but this dream died with him in Mount Nagpatong in Maragondon, Cavite. This is the place where our fellow countrymen executed him. Like Andres Bonifacio, foolish politics will continue to bring chaos and death into the lives of the Filipino people.

About the Author:

Zigfred Diaz is a big fan of Andres Bonifacio but this is not what his blog is all about. Even as electricity dazzled the early train antsiest, and electrical mastery was becoming more evident, it was still a grand challenge to operate two locomotives on one layout.

Thanks to lessons learned during WWII, Lionel was able to master a system that changed the frequency of communications equipment in order to shield the allies from axis ease dropping! This concept was used by Lionel to create oscillating frequencies that can be transmitted to the tracks and received through the rails.

The operator could control the locomotive through the use of a toggle switch or dial to manipulate train direction and speed. Unfortunately Lionel's system was unnecessarily bulky and cumbersome.

Lionel's short comings in the convenience category left room for companies like GE to walk in and introduce there electronic wizardry into the model train industry. GE brought to light a 5 channel system which allowed for the controlling of more than one train per block.

GE called this system ASTRAC (Automatic Simultaneous Train Control). This new system from GE utilized a silicon based rectifier that Incorporated a receiver in each cab. The receiver responded to signals within the tracks sent by a transmitter mounted elsewhere.

Other systems followed such as, Dynotrols carrier control and their CTC-16 which was a successful player in the early days of model train electronics. Throughout the seventies and early eighties these earlier command control devices had one major setback, they weren't compatible with other devices from other model train manufatuers.

Due to these inconsistencies, Lenz, a prominent European DCC innovator, suggested to the industry leaders that they device a system in which compatibility of decoders, transmitters and power stations be mandatory. So in honer of this decree we now enjoy uniform electronics as far a s basic DCC is concerned.

As long as your decoders and power stations follow NMRA standards you're good to go! Be sure to check your decoder before operation to assure positive results.

About the Author:

For more information on scale model locomotives visit Daryl's Website surrounding model train reviews, you may also stop in to read thomas the wood toy train reviews.

If you have, then you need to choose the right Los Angeles car accident lawyers to handle your situation. The type of lawyer you choose may affect the outcome of your case. When you choose the best possible representation for your situation, you give yourself the best chances to have a favorable outcome for your unique circumstance.

There is a wide variety of lawyers available, so you want to make sure you choose the lawyer who is best suited for the situation you are in. The best lawyers generally have a lot of experience with the type of case you are facing. When your lawyer is experienced with cases like yours, they will know how to approach every situation you face during your case.

A good way to measure the experience of a lawyer, is by analyzing the amount of wins they have in real cases. These wins should also be in cases that are similar to the type of situation you face. If a lawyer has a lot of experience with winning cases like yours, you'll know they can approach your case in the best possible way to give you the large benefits from the outcome.

You may not have to actually go to trial, but it may be a good idea to choose a lawyer who has experience with trial cases like yours. Even if you are not expecting to go to trial, there are some situations that may arise in settlements causing a trial to be necessary for your case. When these circumstances arise, you want to make sure your lawyer can handle a trial case, as well as a settlement, to ensure your case is approached in the best possible manner.

The more experience your lawyer has with cases like yours, the more likely they will create a settlement that is larger and more favorable to your situation than a lawyer who does not know how to handle cases like yours. The Attorneys at the Law Offices of Alon Darvish know how to do just that.

Insurance companies have been known to settle for larger payouts when a trial lawyer has an experienced and winning history. If the insurance company knows your lawyer is capable of taking them to court and achieving large settlements, the insurance company will want to settle outside of the court to decrease the damages they face from the situation.

Before you hire a lawyer, it is also a good idea to investigate the types of fees they will charge for their services. Some lawyers will charge an hourly rate, while other lawyers only charge if they win your case. If a lawyer only charges if they win a case, this is known as a contingency fee. A contingency fee is generally a percentage of the final payout you receive from the case. If you have limited funds, it is a very good idea to find a lawyer who will only charge if they are successful in the case. Then, you'll know you do not have to pay any funds out if you do not win your case.

Before you hire your Los Angeles car accident lawyers, make sure you setup an interview with the lawyer, so you can get to know their personality better. If you are able to communicate well with your lawyer beforehand, you'll find the entire process to be much simpler and easier, because your opinion will be heard by the lawyer during the case.

Once you have found a lawyer who satisfies your desires for these different requirements, you'll know you are approaching your case in a way that will maximize the potential benefits from your situation.

About the Author:

Looking for a some great Los Angeles Car Accident Lawyers? James

Many of the "facts" in this story are based on Legend and Myth as much of the history of the Motorcycle and it's Culture was lost in the Great Rebellion of 2057.

Taken from a history book in the year 2095... Motorcycles And The Culture They Inspire 1868-2017

Motorcycles started out as steam engines strapped on to bicycles in 1868. Soon after the gas engine took its place and by the 1900's there were Motorcycle shops and Dealers all over the World. For awhile, Motorcycle's were simply used as transportation. In 1907, when Henry Fords, Ford Motor Company, released the Model-T at a price many could afford, the Motorcycle soon went from a necessity to a luxury item.

In the 1940's, the Motorcycle Culture really took off. An organization called the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) held races and events all over the United States of America. In 1947 the AMA held an event in Hollister California. This event was attended by many of the AMA Racing Teams and Motorcycle Clubs. This event marks the beginning of the separation of Motorcyclists which eventually led to the end of Motorcycling in the year 2017. Newspapers, being what they where in 1947, got a hold of some pictures of Motorcyclists having fun at the event. The press decided to embellish the facts and transformed the story into a torrid tale of Bikers taking over a small town! More negative news stories soon followed. Soon after Hollywood began releasing movies that portrayed Motorcyclists as lawless and evil.

The American Motorcyclist Association, trying to end the bad press, responded by basically saying that the Newspapers had lied and that it was only 1% of the Motorcyclists that caused problems. This resulted in the first ripple in the Unity of the Motorcycle World and the Medias' hatred of Bikers. Around the same time, the AMA began adding new requirements for motorcycles to be able to race in AMA sanctioned Races. Those whose motorcycles didn't meet the new AMA requirements started their own Race Leagues. Because the new Race Leagues/Clubs were not AMA sanctioned, they soon became known as Outlaw Race Leagues/Clubs. Although many Bikers raced in both the AMA and Outlaw Leagues, another great separation had begun.

By the late 1960's, the separation of the Motorcycle Community was becoming more evident. There were now three basic Motorcycle groups. The American Motorcycle Association, Outlaw/ 1%er Clubs(All 1%ers were Outlaws, but not all Outlaws were considered 1%ers) and Independent Riders. Over the years, the AMA continued to grow. In addition to racing, they began to champion Motorcycle Rights and Safety. As time went on, others formed independent groups whose goals were similar to that of the AMA. The inability or outright refusal of these groups to work together with each other, resulted in further separation of the Motorcycle Community and Culture.

In the 1970's, rifts began to grow between some of the Outlaw/1% Clubs. By the 1990's, the media had inflated these conflicts into stories that rivaled the tall tales of the old west. These tall tales where ment to invoked fear of the Outlaw/1% Clubs in the public. Everyone was lied to,. They were told to stay away from and fear all Outlaw/1% Clubs. The media began referring to Motorcycle Clubs as Motorcycle Gangs, a term meant to further instill fear into the heart of the Public. Stories and rumors began surfacing, claiming these "Gangs" were ruthless and would kill or maim people for little or no reason at all. By the early 21st Century, every minor conflict between Outlaw/1% Clubs was made into a book, made for TV movie, or docudrama. Titles like "Motorcycle Gang Wars In Your Back Yard" were common. Although real wars, conflicts, and suffering were occurring worldwide, the Corporate owned media chose to report fiction over fact.

In 2009, a conflict between two rival Clubs was captured on Video at a "Biker Build Off" event. The coverage by the media and negative publicity that followed was so overwhelming that in 2010, the United States Government passed a law banning all Outlaw/1% Clubs. In response, the Outlaw/1% Clubs put aside their differences and formed "Bikers United". The Bikers fought back stating the law was unconstitutional and un-American. Even as late as 2010, Many Americans still clung to the misguided belief that they had rights and lived in a free Nation. The Bikers fought hard and came very close to winning, but without the support of the Motorcycle Rights Groups,The many other Clubs, and the Independent Riders, all of whom had been brainwashed into believing the Outlaw Clubs were criminal organizations, they were defeated.

Many of the Outlaw/1% Clubs tried to stay together. The Clubs went underground, but after many raids and constant Government harassment, they all but disappeared. In 2013, in an effort to ensure that the Outlaw/1% Clubs never returned, the Government decided to outlaw all Motorcycle Clubs and organizations. The AMA, the many Clubs and Motorcycle Rights Organizations United in an effort to battle the Governments oppression. They tried to use many of the same tactics and strategies that the Outlaw/1% Clubs used. Unfortunately, the Government was much smarter and stronger this time around. They had learned many lessons in their fierce battles with the Outlaw/1% Clubs, and they used what they had learned against the united Clubs and Organizations. With no Outlaw/1% Clubs left to assist them and without the support of the Independent Riders, the United Clubs and Organizations were defeated.

In 2015, the Government passed a law that made it illegal to even look like an Outlaw on a Motorcycle. The Independent Riders banned together to try and fight the law, but by this time their numbers were few and there wasn't anyone left to show them how to fight for their rights. After a brief protest, they too were soundly defeated. In 2017, What was now a "Global Government", in its infinite wisdom, decided that Motorcycles posed a danger to the public. They passed a law banning the manufacturing of Motorcycle's and their use! They ordered that all existing Motorcyclesbe destroyed. This brought to an end, the History of Motorcycles. It would take until the year 2093 before anything even close to resembling a Motorcycle reappeared.

As a Historian looking back at the History of Motorcycles and the Culture it created, it amazes me how powerful the Motorcycle Culture could have been had they not let every little thing separate them. Instead of embracing something they all had in common and working together to protect it, they instead let their differences, the media, and the government divide them. By the time the Bikers realized how much they were connected and needed each other, it was too late. Their numbers were certainly sufficient to achieve victory, but their failure to come together as Brothers and Sisters and work for the common good ultimately caused their demise. Had they been victorious, it may have been enough to stop all of the oppression and tyranny that soon followed. History is full of stories just like this one, over and over again. The ones who love and honor Freedom the most are taken down first and the rest soon fall like dominoes. Until the Great Rebellion of 2057, we as a Global Society did not realize how important it was to put aside our differences. It may have taken awhile, but we finally figured it out...Just in time!

Your Bro L. J. Health Care Reform

By Veronica Carrillo

We are now just about 1 year into the administration of Barack Obama and the newest group of legislators making up our current Congress. However, in this one year span, these individuals have attempted to push through so many controversial measures that it is literally mind-boggling. One of the big questions in my mind is - what's the rush?

The three-fifths compromise stated that slaves on counted as three-fifths of a person for census purposes and it is true that the founding fathers not only supported it but are the ones that came up with it. It is important to realize why in the world they would support this before you automatically label them as racist. You see, the slave owners actually wanted the slaves to count as a full person but of course wanted them to have no freedoms.

With current polling projections and Congress' dismal approval ratings, it is looking more and more like a given that the balance of power will be restored in Washington come November 2010. And, with that, it will be much harder, if not impossible, for President Obama to move forward with any radical measures. At the moment, the flavor of the week is health care reform. And while more than 70% of Americans do not want abortion to be covered under any new legislation, a good portion of extremists are still trying to push it through.

The Northern states realized that abolishing slavery was a monumental task and the three-fifths compromise was the first step toward getting rid of slavery for good.

The founding fathers were definitely not perfect people but they did have amazing foresight into what was right for the nation going forward even if it didn't benefit them directly.

I urge everyone to take their own time and do there own research into history before they start making judgements based on partial truths but out by radicals on both sides. Do your due diligence, study these people and their writings and form your own conclusions based on those truths. Thank you for taking the time to check out my article. James

I wrote an article a while back called "Why speak to the Motorcycle Clubs in your area before starting a new MC?" It was about why those wishing to start new Motorcycle Clubs should go and speak to those who have come before them. If you have not read the article look it up on my March 2009 archive page on NY-Biker.com

Since then, I've begun seeing and hearing some things that worry me. I have seen many groups popping up. Some of these groups have names like Lone Wolf or Independent Riders. While I suppose the names are meant to distance these groups from real motorcycle clubs, they still resemble legitimate clubs in the way they dress, and to a certain degree, the way they act.

Now I am sure some of you are saying "hey LJ these guys just want to do their own thing back off a bit, what really is the harm in what these guys are doing?" Well that's the Million dollar Question! Exactly what is the real harm? Let me see if I can explain how I see it.

If you put on a uniform, pinned on a badge and hung out at Dunkin Donuts you may look like and act like a cop but you would not be a real cop. When a real cop saw you, You would probaly be in a lot of trouble!

Now due to High Gas Prices, The Economy, and people waking up to the fact that riding a Motorcycle is one of the Greatest things in the world, the ranks of motorcycle riders have exploded. Many of these new riders see shows like Sons Of Anarchy, Gangland or movies like Hell Ride and think, "This is cool, I'm going to start a Club" even though they know nothing about Motorcycle Clubs or the Biker lifestyle.

Shows like Sons of Anarchy are a fictional dramatization of what a group of television writers think a Motorcycle Club is. Programs like Gangland claim to investigate 1%er Clubs. Their "investigation consists of looking up every little Crime members of a 30 year old Motorcycle Club have ever been accused of and then Squeeze all the Negative info about the MC into about 45 Minutes of air time.

The concern is that you have new and independent riders forming "Clubs" with no real knowledge of what it means to be a member of a Motorcycle Club. Some of these clubs are forming with only shows like SOA and Gangland as the model for what a Motorcycle Club should be.

Being a member of a Motorcycle Club is about Brotherhood, Loyalty, Respect, Freedom, and Honor. It's not about Drugs, Guns, and Biker Wars.

In the Motorcycle Club world you start off as either a prospect for an established Motorcycle Club or your new MC starts off as a Supporter of a established MC and they help to teach you what it truly means to be a Member of a Motorcycle Club.

It's like an artist taking on an apprentice and passing on what he has learned. The knowledge he passes on has been passed on down to him for Hundreds of Generations.

Now where the danger lies is the art being taught can be thousands of years old but, It only takes one generation of not passing the right information down and the art is lost forever!

With the creation of so many pseudo MC's, We risk a danger a lot worse than losing the art of what a Motorcycle Club is all about , We risk watching the Mutation of the World We all Love turned into something as ugly as the negative, hyped up TV Shows and movies we've all seen.

If your thinking about starting a Motorcycle Club or want to join one, start by talking to local Club members you see at events or contact established Clubs directly. Every MC has its own set of rules, etc, but if you're serious about becoming an MC or MC Member, you'll have no problem finding the situation that is right for you. As I said in the beginning, I have no problem with people starting their own Clubs. It's just that starting a Motorcycle Club is something that should be done the right way and not be taken lightly. Let us work together to Preserve the Heritage of the Motorcycle Club world and make it stronger, not destroy it.

I am Your Bro LJ James AmericanBikerX.com

About the Author:

LJ hosts a Motorcycle Show to teach many Bikers the thruth of Brotherhood LJ lets Bikers know they can only get so much from TV Series like Sons of Anarchy You are welcome to reprint this article - but get your own unique content version here.

It is a law of creation. Despite the simplicity of this law, it is difficult to understand because it differs from everything we were used to believe. Famous people like Albert Einstein and Joseph Addison knew how to use the law of attraction. Albert Einstein said that everything is energy. Experts in quantum physics claim that you are influencing everything around you. Whether you use it consciously or not, this law is constantly in action as the law of gravity.

Law of attraction is a 100 year old concept, but it was revealed recently to people worldwide. This concept is based on the fact that our thoughts influence directly our lives. Somehow similar to the idea of positive thinking, the law of attraction involves more effort. People who believe in it say that it's not enough just to desire something; you must allow that to happen. According to them, this is the hardest part on which depends the fulfillment of our desires.

But what are the principles on which the law of attraction is based? How does it work?

Consider yourself a magnet that attracts energies in accordance with the subtle vibrations produced by your thoughts and emotions. Happenings and experiences you live are the result of your thoughts. If you don't trust yourself and your ability to attract wealth, love and health, you block the positive energy, because your impatience acts as a barrier. It is said that lucky people are more detached from their ultimate purpose, leaving the laws of the universe to help them. Lucky people feel lucky and trust themselves, without being overwhelmed by problems that any human being has in every moment of his life.

Everything that happens to you is determined by your thoughts, beliefs and intentions. The question is: 'Do you know what you want?' Make a list of what you want. There is nothing too good or too big. Do you want a bigger house, a beautiful pool, a life partner or more money? Have fun with this list and imagine that everything you written there is already happening.

Love yourself! Only after you start to love yourself, you'll be able to handle a love relationship or any other action you undertake. Quit blaming yourself for small things or to have a negative image about everything you do. Look at you with love, accept your body and personality and be prepared to receive wonderful surprises.

You can change everything in your life just by understanding the Law of Attraction, or by choosing deliberately to focus your thoughts and actions on positive things. Do anything that makes you happy. The main idea is to start thinking positively.

You attract exactly what you're thinking about and people who think and feel like you. Eventually, your whole existence is determined by your thoughts and feelings.

Learn to enjoy everything you have. Although it seems normal to have a good health or to live in a nice neighborhood, it has a great importance. Just think about all those people who don't have a house of their own or who suffer from incurable diseases. That would make anything to be in your place. Be grateful and your positive thoughts will bring you even more happiness!

About the Author:

The author Simon Cray is one of the writers for the popular http://www.abundance-info.com website. One that will keep you reading with the lights on and checking the door locks after you're done.

In fiction the characters are not real people. The entire story is made up towns, people and situations. The characters are meant to scare us witless and wanting more. Writing a good suspense is exciting and a chance to let your imagination free. If you have considered writing, why put it off, grab a pencil and your imagination and get started.

You can start slowly and just work on it when you have the free time. All it takes to get started is a character or two, imagining a scary place and your imagination. The following are a few tips to get you started. They are by far all of the answers but it will give you a general idea of where to begin.

The first part should be to think of where you would want your story to be. The place should be one that you can associate with. When you were a child was there a specific place that terrified you. It could be your childhood home, town, a hospital, any place that could provoke fear.

The character is the next step. It is best to have a few main characters that interact through out the story. Remember there are also a good guy and a bad guy and many others in between. Make your characters come to life by describing them in full detail. Include their hair color, eye color and even what they are wearing if necessary. They point is to make them appear real. If the reader can picture the way they look they will come to life.

Make your scenes come alive. The more suspense you add and the more realistic you make them appear the more suspense the reader will feel. A great suspense is when you think you know who did it and why only to get to the next chapter and find out you were totally wrong.

Your ending should be an "I never saw that coming" ending. The best suspense has the reader terrified. For inspiration go to your local bookstore and read up on some of the suspense novels. Sometimes just reading the back of the book with the stories plot will give you inspiration.

Sometimes sitting without thinking is the best way to begin. In other words, it is good to have a general idea of what you intend to develop, but sometimes we just begin best without over thinking. The characters will come to life in your imagination; you simply have to apply it to the paper. Remember things that make you think and wonder how that could happen. Writing suspense fiction books is just that it is fiction; you could make your characters anyone you want them to be and do anything you want them to do.

About the Author:

Want to find out more about suspense fiction books, then visit Jack Hanley's site on how to choose the best novels for your needs.

That is more than just a simple statement. Over the average lifetime of a gay couple, they will spend more money than any heterosexual couple. There are all kinds of arguments that can be made by anti-gay groups and individuals, but the truth of the matter is that gay couples pay into all of the systems nearly twice as much as heterosexual couples do.

One of the most obvious additional costs includes the payment of taxes. Without the same marriage benefits, child benefits, and filing benefits of the heterosexual community, the gay couple will pay out a higher amount of the household money as each individual files separately without benefits. Even something as simple as true deductions have to come under scrutiny to ensure that the wrong deduction doesn't end up on the wrong tax return. The average additional taxation for couples of the GLBT community is generally three quarters to even twice the amount paid for a hetero household with the same income requirements.

Health insurance is the next big hitter. Many employers still do not health insurance to the partners' of gay employees. Even for companies that do offer coverage, the money is taxable income. Heterosexual couples have the benefit of using pre-taxed dollars. The cost of health care when one partner is not insured comes out of the family's household but can not be claimed adequately on taxes if it was paid for by the healthy partner.

Legal fees are also another avenue when gay couples have to find more funds to live within "normal" society. For monetary and parental protection many have to outline their rights in legal documents especially when children are involved. The simple act of being together for some gay couples means that they must pay hundreds to thousands of dollars in legal fees just in case something happens later in life.

If a couple wants children they can expect some very high expenses. Men can anticipate adoption fees that can creep into the hundreds of thousands while women can expect to find about seventy five thousand extra dollars in order conceive a child. There are plenty of anti-gay family arguments that have been interjected and debated over this point, but that's beside the point. A family is possible but only for those who can afford the initial step.

After a lifetime together of supporting each other and figuring out those tax returns, a domestic partner receives no death benefit from the government and can be denied access to life insurance policies and death benefits held by the deceased's employer.

Non-biological children in states that do not permit second parent adoptions often have legal difficulties when it comes to medical decisions, claims for reimbursement, and even burial rights. Non-biological parents without the afforded second parent adoption often can not make immediate medical decisions for their child yet are often handed the medical bill without the expectation of reimbursement.

Sure, there are many people who will tell us that this is just the natural consequence of that "deviant" lifestyle, or whatever the word of the moment might be. It's different when you see it all in black and white. Suddenly you can see clearly how our money is accepted anywhere that we are not.

About the Author:

Thoughts about differences for gay couples brought to you by gay travel author Howie Holben. In one form or another, we have all heard this before. Whether we hear it from someone who cares about us and tries to encourage us and even while listening to Jiminy Cricket sing When You Wish upon a Star.

Somewhere, someone in our lives has told us that it is us, who are the master of our destiny. We are the ones who create our lives. We have it within us to manifest abundance. We are the only person that can manifest an abundant life for our self.

The reason our life is the way it is, is because we made it so. We need to face this fact of reality. All those mounting bills, the jobs that go nowhere and all our unhappy relationship are things we created all by ourselves.

You need to realize, it is you who has created the life you live. Then you need to know that the power is within you to make a change. You can begin right now to manifest abundance in your life. You simply need to change your way of thinking.

The most powerful things you have are your thoughts. You create the life you want by the way you think and how you think. All those worrying thoughts of how to pay the bills only creates more bills. When you spend time worrying about money, you only create more money problems for yourself. If you only focus on the bad things in your relationship, you only create more problems within the relationship.

You need to think about all the positive things in your life, since this is the key to manifesting abundance. Focus on the good things you already have. For instance, you woke this morning breathing on your own; you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back and something to eat. Take the time to realize that you are fortunate right now and be grateful for those things. When you are thankful for all those good things, you can more clearly focus on manifesting even more good things into your life.

Do not blame others, since in reality it is the way you think and say is that which creates your current life. You may say that you want happiness, success and wealth; however, you must focus your thoughts and words on being happy, successful and wealthy.

You should try these experiments; they will show you that by changing the way you think you can change your life. Do not worry about the need for money, or even how you will pay the bills. Start doing this right this moment. Rather, you should think about how much money you do have and that you have the money to pay for anything you have in your life.

Think about and believe that you have all the money you require, while paying close and conscious attention to your thoughts. This will help them not to slip away from you and make room for your old ways of thinking. Think and believe that you have everything you want in your life at this moment when you want to manifest abundance in your life.

Since like attracts like, you have the power to bring in more good things to your life. Focus strongly on the things you already have that are good in your life. You are the only person who can improve your life by manifesting abundance in your life.

About the Author:

The author Claire Skaysbrook writes for the popular http://www.abundance-info.com website.
