Do we need Remy with all this reluctance to sign for us?
Carlton Cole seems to be starting the pre season very well, but would anyone put money on him surviving injury free.
Beckham is well past it and would be a crap football team signing, I for one would hate having him as a glamour signing.
Clerc and any other defensive names are welcome as defense is the foundation to build upon, and the Premeirship is going to be a tough place to be this year, I am praying for mid-table finish with a good team passing and attacking in the knowledge their have a defense that can cope under pressure.
Well I can hope can't I?

Hopefully not Caraglio he was awful last night. Looked unfit and barely interested. Anis Ben-Haitra seemed a much better prospect, quick, lively and worked his socks off. Worth a punt on a free at least.

1st half we saw typical Diamanti. Almost scored from open play with a shot from the centre circle and then almost blasted the ball out of the stadium from an edge of the box set peice.

Green made a couple of good saves and looked confident. Tomkins played well. Upson fine. Parker good in glimpses, lots of simple passes from Kovac and he didn't lose possession but he didn't really seem to do anything of note for a change! Stanilas had a shocker apart from one move, apart from that his 2nd touch was a tackle.

Game changed last night with the 7 substitutions. First time I've seen a team actually improve with so many subs on all at once. Cole looked excellent, Benni, Noble, Faubert, Da Costa all looked good. Didn't see enough of Fred Picq' to make an opinion. Wessels seemed ok.

Boring 1st half, game got better on the hour mark. No thanks for Caraglio.

reports saying Riquelme is staying at boca, not holding out much hope for Remy. I dont think resting our hopes on one buy that might not happen in catapulting us that far up the table, remember last season we were holding out hope on improving on the season before with the purchase of jimenez, look how that panned out!

Mate I am with you but unhappy employees cause friction,recently Joleon Lescott as an example,if Scotty is interested he will say so,but this all seems orchestrated in a way,quietly we could have said no,anyway where is Remy?

I can't see Scott going to Spurs or Liverpool,he's our top player! any where else, he'll be just another brick in the wall,and as Aussie said, he is with us. Sorry Aussie,l went to every home game last season,and Scott can't do no wrong with us,he's loved by every true fan,he's always gives time for autographs,even his dad spoke to my wife with Scott and his wife,Lovely Bloke.
