Donna, if it’s the cheese bread you love, check out my friend Priscilla’s Cafe Verde Restaurant in Lawrence. It is amazing. She’s a Zumba girl and her cheese bread BURIES the stuff at Gauchos. They seem to put a bit of tapioca or yucca root in their to make it slightly glue-y. Pri’s cheese bread are fragant, airy little puffs bread-y cheese heaven. And her vegan chocolate cake will make you slap your mama it’s so good!

I’ve heard good things about the Red Arrow diner! I’ll have to check it out!

When i went 2 years ago it was dead as well.. from what i hear it can get slammed in there.. I do like their cheese rolls mmm…. but i found it expensive and the service while not as slow as you experienced.. definitely slower than I expect in an American restaurant

honestly.. if i’m traveling up to Manchester for food.. i go across the street to the Red Arrow Diner.. it’s cheap, big portions and diner comfort food
