Yep! So loving my iPhone, but it can’t truly replace my Macbook. Of course I’ll be bringing the Macbook. While I love the iPhone, I just can’t type very fast on that itty bitty keyboard. As I’ve said before, I’m not a texter. In fact, I sent my very first text message this past summer – and that was only to reply to someone.

Looking forward to seeing you and the crew as well as folks from Twitter/PLN face-to-face finally.

Thanks for sharing this with me. We hung ours on a big brick column and put book covers all around it. I will HAVE to snap a photo and blog a more formal public thanks for sharing it. My principal, curriculum coordinator, and 2 English teachers thought it was an awesome (but not in your face) way to highlight the topic and the books.

Seems that many in my school also suffer from health probs caused by the AC units – most of us get cold/allergy symptoms.

I don’t understand how they work either! The furlough will save on facility costs AND we’re getting a pay cut. Our contracts had the possibility of furlough written into them this year, so we knew there was always the possibility of it happening. It’s not a total shock and I can’t really blame our district folks. They’re trying so hard not to have to let people go. I’m feeling MUCH better this morning, thanks for the well wishes. I’m really looking forward to the weekend, too! New babies to see, shopping, and eating out! My weekly trips to Columbia help keep me sane!

I don’t understand how furloughs work but it sounds ugly. Will they cut your salary this way or is it just to save on the facility costs? If you have a contract, I don’t see how they can cut your salary. It is scary times though. I’m sorry about your headache and hope it goes away quickly. The changing of the seasons really mess with my sinuses too. Have a great weekend!

@Fran – thanks for stopping by! Yes, I like to at least have an IDEA for what I want to do for TRW ready before school starts. Helps for recruiting teachers if they know what I need from them ahead of time. No one likes to be thrown in at the last minute.

Keep those pics of the new media center coming. Once you get everything moved into your new space, I’ll feel the need for a field trip! Would love to come visit you.
