What genre has been mastered by this movie? Mindless teenage dribble? Harlequin romance about wannabe vampires and werewolves? I used to be a teenager and I never once saw anyone act the way these characters do. Edward is a creepy stalker, Jacob is a douchebag, and whatsherface is so forgetable. The most interesting thing about these movies is what the actors do off the set.

There’s a special place in cinema heaven, Jilly for sitting through this movie. I secured my place by sitting through Land Of The Lost with Will Ferrell.

LOL. In a sense. Sort of. I actually had to look hard for PeeTimes. Since this movie is such a mish-mash, it was tough to find scenes that lasted long enough to be summed up in a blurb.

But since nothing is really original in this flick, one can essentially leave any time and be able to pick up the plot. No huge twists to worry about. :-)

A good movie. Old story line cowboys and indians with a future twist. (but I like cowboys and indians) See it once, after all, its a colorfull cartoon.

What are your favorite zombie flicks? I also loved Shaun of the Dead and Resident Evil. Army of Darkness is really more of a skeleton army but the Deadites are zombie-esque.

I went along thinking this movie was going to be a horror movie too. Not that I am particularly a horror movie fan. I heard two bad reviews for this movie and one good one in the days before I went but went anyway.
I found this movie good with some unexpected twists and turns which, although the movie tended to be paced a little slow, the tension and a sense of what was actually happening built gradually through the movie.
It was actually around 20 minutes shorter than I thought. The ending was a bit abrupt and a surprise. I expect there will possibly be a Shutter Island 2 in a few years.
Overall I would have to give this movie a 3.5 out of 5. Not a horror movie by any stretch but definitely a though provoking insight into mental illness and how it is and was treated and regarded in society.
