This is so adorable and not at all dorky.
I'll have to start looking for my photographs. I'm definitely joining you in creating your first-ever communal art work.

Thanks a lot for sharing.

We need to have an interpersonal relationship within the community. It is necessary to achieve the common goal that we created. Having this kind of activity will give us the opportunity to mingle with others and establish our rapport for future activities as well.

Thanks for the idea.

Can I just say that I love seeing and hearing you? Cos I do.

I'm so in that same boat of being great at teaching and encouraging self-care and sucking at doing it for myself. I always put my needs last, right up to the point where I have a meltdown. This last year has taught me not only do I need to stop doing that but that I need to put together an actual support system to prevent it from happening in the first place.

I wound up cutting back on a whackload of time-sucks, which was an enormous help. I also decided that every three months I'm going to take a week-long vacation from all my jobs and just have solid me-time. (Ohmigod that's been awesome.) I'm still working on that whole saying "no" when I can't take on anything more thing. That's a biggie right now.

For you, though, I love that you're not giving up on yourself. It can be SO EASY to just throw in the towel and wallow in self-pity forever, but you're committed to sticking with your Self, which is so very admirable. I think the video method of staying connected is a wonderful step, and I'm seriously hoping to literally hear from you more often.

Let me know if/when I can help you, darlin. <3

I accept your challenge, my dear!
This will make you laugh: just yesterday in therapy I was saying, "How is it that I have all of these fabulous self-care tools and techniques, but I don't use them consistently?" And so I just yesterday committed to what I am calling a post-perfectionist life -- one in which self-care, gratitude, curiosity, authenticity and playfulness are center stage.
2012, here we come!
