After being quite vigilant on this for sometime, and joining every preference service there is and contacting insurers personally.
I need to know what I can do when they dont honour my preference.
Insurance companies still post there annual letters and the royal mail still post things occasionally.
It says 'legally binding' so how to hold them responsible, I am totally up for the banter.
I record calls so have evidence that I have notified them and recently started taking 'screen shots' to prove they dont honour those opt out tick boxes.

I want to fine them everytime they breach my instructions, how can this be done???

The video does not clearly address the total situation. Is CO2 emmission from road transport and plant processing taken account of? In other words, does the amount of CO2 produced in the total recycling process negate the value of recycling the plastic?

I reuse my paper that I print on, and only recycle it or shred it when both sides have been used. Cartridges, I always send off somewhere to be recycled.

ah, now if i could just send this article to each teacher in our educational system, the waste management team would be relieved and i could breathe easier as well as save taxes..it' s pervasive, pernicious and a precarious imbalance in all of our office practices..a cultural debacle at the most tender stage of ethics--two generations late..
but i smell some success coming in the severe cut backs to organizations and governments all over..we are learning by financial squeeze if not by earthy conscience..

Some hams are definitely a lot saltier than others - bacon too. I used to buy a low salt bacon but hardly ever buy bacon and haven't seen it recently anyway. We just don't add salt and avoid ones we've found too salty.

Those ham packets really irritate me. They have a Use By date in big letters on the front and then in very small writing on the back 'once opened use within 24 hours' or something similar. Why isn't this clearly on the front beside the use by date? Because this isn't clear we have to have government guidelines saying that it is not OK to use it when it is still within the use by date but has been open for longer than 24 hrs or 48hrs or whatever and not kept as per instructions - refrigerated etc etc.

The packets of ham are also often on offer as 2 for £3 or something similar and you need to be careful as they become rearranged as shoppers (naturally) look for a longer use by date for their second packet.

This encourages people to buy bigger packets than they can possibly use within the time (as per the hidden or non-existent instructions) encouraging waste.

You want to have an idea of whatever risks you are taking.

Favourite indulgent pasta sauce is cream ham and mushrooms with ground black pepper - no salt because the ham is salty. Thicken with a little cornflour.

I once had a pasta sauce from M&S that I had to add a more peas to - a whole large pocketful more to because it was so salty!

Potatoes are good to reduce the salty taste of something eg soup.

Those TV chefs who complain and criticise the competitors for not adding salt drive me mad. Meals out that are spoilt by very salty gravy do too, or salted vegetables or over-salted steaks. There is salt and pepper on the table. Let US add it if WE want to - we can't take it out!

I do love a car boot sale for getting rid of lots of things I don't want or need any longer. I used to sell lots of things on eBay too, but as others have said the fees are getting a bit on the expensive side now. I need to look into alternatives such as eBid or Gumtree I think. Also consider your local Loot or local newspaper. Or even a card in shop windows for larger items,
