How can I not like Nascar… Compared to popular forms of racing outside of the States it is a weak sport. The tracks are almost all the same albeit length or general shape. Compare Nascar to something like rally and you just can’t even care too much about Nascar in my opinion.

Rally takes knowing your car more than anything else. The track changes after every car on it, or change in temperature since it covers snow, mud, gravel, tarmac, etc. Changes in elevation every foot half the time… Compare that to an oval track and eventually you have to ask yourself why Nascar actually is so popular in the first place.

But I do understand why it is popular. Speed, advertising, “extreme” feeling to it via commercials, constant updates, etc. It is perfect for the American audience.

I still have half the respect for it compared to rally, F1, drift, etc.

I like all forms of Racing but how can you not like Nascar it has become one of the top 4 most popular sports in america.

I also prefer IRL mainly cause having a high school class mate to watch race is kind of cool.
