Hi Karlie

Thanks for your lovely words about Camera Obscura & World of Illusions. We try to offer something for all ages and all nationalities, and to try to make everything as hands on as we can, and we are very fortunate in that visitors do genuinely seem to love it, which means we can continue to add new things and improve the experience. Although most people who visit are adults, it can truly be a magical place for children, and thank you again for recognising that and recognising it. Please come as my guest next time - you have my email address,

warm regards, Andrew

[...] Victoria Street. This is definitely one of the prettiest streets in Edinburgh, with its cobbles and its colourful buildings. There’s a whisky shop, a cheese shop, a second-hand book place, some great clothes shops and a couple of kooky wee galleries. When you’re all shopped out you can pop across the road into the Bow Bar for a pint. [...]

i tried this amazing salt n sauce combination with my cheesy chips on the weekend down in edinburgh (i currently live in aberdeen) and although we are also east-coasters up here, i had never heard of this 'special sauce' until i got down to the capital. it was a really tasty alternative to gravy, and suited a massive vinegar fan such as me down to a T. or should that say a V. anyway, we tried it at central chippy, which is my new favourite place as it also served bottled continental beers to wash down one's chips n sauce with. friendly staff plus it had some indoor seating. i will definitely be returning there. cheers!
