I’ve been reading this site since Peter extolled his extensive list of his favorite pitchers. I’ve been along for the ride ever since and now quantify most chance occurrences before finally declaring aloud that the sample size is indeed too small. With some trepidation I will continue to follow you on the other side, bracing myself for the possibility that proposing Freddie Freeman man 3B in jest may actually be taken seriously; along with DFAing BJ to make room for Gattis in center. I really appreciated the spartan aesthetic of this blog and the wualitymof its content over its presentation. I shed one manly tear in light of this transition. Cheers fellas.

One thing I know I’m going to miss, and is already on display, about this blog in comparison to TC is the relative smaller size of commenters. For instance, I was going to add in a comment or two for the Francisco trade, but quickly realized there were already 73 responses to it in the short time it’s been up. I didn’t even feel like reading through all 73 responses to see if my question/comment had been covered. :/

Thank you all so much for giving us this site and providing me with some link to the Braves when there’s snow on the ground. I was sad to see Peter and the ban hammer leave, and now I’m sad to watch the CAC name stroll into the sunset as well, but I’ll follow the new Talking Chop and see what happens. Maybe we should all work on our parable-telling skills so that we can present our viewpoint in a non-threatening way.

I’m glad you didn’t throw Chip in that mix as that would have been an obvious throw away answer. Pretty sure that guy doesn’t even know how to power on a computer, let alone actually navigate to a webpage.

that was part of it, but honestly part of it is that we simply don’t have the time to “work on the site”, whereas SBNation takes care of all that kind of stuff for us. CAC had basically gotten as big as it could without drastic changes. WordPress blogs run by people with full time jobs aren’t really made to handle the thousands of viewers we get every day.

But the fact that you guys would be wiling to donate if we asked does mean a lot, so thanks.
