I loved this book so much. Hunted down the preceding story. Then proceeded to devour every paranormal romance book she has. Love them. Really. Thanks for reviewing this story! It was really delicious, and the sequel is stunning. I'd never given much though to Angels before as sexy alpha males, but yum.

i think that The toymaker is a wonderful story about a little boy who knows nothing about this little piece of paper that he got from his grandfather's coat pocket and he's going to get killed for it because this man called doctor leiter wants to find the piece of paper and use the secret for himself but then there turns out to be no secret within the paper then they discover that there's another half to the paper and they have to find it before leiter does, or his sidekick valter, who seems to be obssessed with playing games full of murder and death.

Can I volunteer to be the proofreader for the next book. It is an exciting read, a thoroughly implausible tale in the best Commando Comic style, but there are spelling mistakes, some anomalies within the text, and yes there are some very odd descriptive words.

Could have been 9/10 but only 7/10 because of the errors.

oh he's wonderful, isn't he? it's uncanny in itself that stories as good as "august heat" and "miss cornelius" are rarely in print today.

I was recommended this book by a friend.I finished it in two days.
There are so many issues in this book that you could talk about.
Middle England,global politics etc
I thought the structure & suspense was impressive.
I have an issue with the depiction of Nigerian men,the only ones we come across
are barbaric commiting crimes of extreme violence without conscience.
I know this is within the parameters of the story & it is a story.
It would have been a counterbalance to have had some male Nigerian characters showing compassion.
That said it is one of the most interesting books I have read in a long time.
To me it interweaved genres, from serious political commentary, chick lit & comedy.Something I have never come across before.
Some books make good films & I think this is one of them.
Hopefully it will come to the attention of film makers.
