Indeed, I've been out on both the Strom and the Gladius a fair amount in the past two weeks and it's fantastic to be back out there after the wet months we've had; yes, I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to rain! ;)

The Tenere looks interesting and probably a good choice, it deffinately adds up paying to keep multiple vehicles on the road!

I can understand time does race on with work & home commitments. Things have moved on with us as well, I/we looking at replacing the V-strom maybe next year. Many factors are coming into play, first & foremost is a weight issue as I commute to work every day rain hail of shine, and my wife is looking at returning as a passinger, so we will most likely get the new Yamaha Tenere XTZ660 with full kit. The costs of running two bikes & a car not really working for us. Cheers SImon & Tess

Your very lucky your wife only dropped her bike the once, on our second ride we covered a large selection of on & off road conditions, we agreed she needed the experience & I counted my wife dropping her DRZ400SM on gravel 6 times, so lucky I had fitted the bike with bark busters and crash bars. (now you know why she has a motard, if she had the gladius is would have been toast)

So glad the bike is better, how's Gens?
You were so lucky to find an English speaker.
I think we probably live in the worst country when it comes to nice people.
Take it easy and see you soon.

Hi Gary, yes you are missing out on an adventure in Spain. It is a beautiful country with friendly people. Barcelona and Madrid are wonderful cities and certainly deserve a look. Maybe next time you will consider a trip to these places and I might be able to help teach you a bit of Spanish. Donde estan los servicios, por favor? (where are the toilets please?) Have a great time in France that too is a lovely country. Love Gens Mum

Maps & motorcycles sadly don't match, in a car your wife can work out where you going on the fly, but on the bike is not possible. We have ended un in some really tight binds with taking a wrong turn & having to limp back . Jan 09 we got a TomTom Rider2 Sat Nav. Its just amazing.

You look like the real deal, now all you need is to get your hubby to toss some dirt on it and its fab.
Most riders I know of wear Textile, Ixon is a big brand here as they have a large line of jackets&pants for woman.
