I don't know if you remember or not, but I have used the Seedburst stamp (E1265) before to create a background. I was motivated to get it out once again because I just bought some new JudiKins Extreme Peacock embossing powder and wanted to play with it. Do any of you find your supplies dictating what kinds of cards you create? To me, there is nothing like experimenting with a new toy!

To make the card, I stamped the Seedburst multiple times on white metallic paper using light blue pigment ink. I then embossed it with my new embossing powder and added a lot of diamond jewels for extra sparkle.

I am not sure how many Christmas designs I made this year, but I was definitely excited to post something other than a holiday card today!

For today's card, I stamped the Flower Bundle image (E1321) onto Parchment cardstock using Colorbox Chalk Creamy Brown and Blackberry inks. The flower and stems are separate from each other, so it is really easy to stamp them in two different colors.

To embellish the card, I added a little Latte dot paper and pearls, rounded the edges of some of the cardstock, and stamped the Thank You Script greeting (E1321).

Well, it is Christmas Eve, and there is no way we are going to see a white Christmas in Virginia this year. Of course, I am really, really okay with that. Last year we received 14" and spent the day shovelling. So, instead of a white Christmas, I am going to post a snowflake card. The Elemental Damask (C1390) looked similar in pattern to the Crystal Snowflake (E1410), so I decided to pair the two together.

I stamped everything with Colorbox Chalk Prussian Blue ink and finished by addin an extra white circle layer and bow.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. I know I am grateful to have the chance to spend some time with my family.

Or, is it a shaped tag? I just can't decide. It has been a while since I made a shaped card, and I was in the mood to experiment with a Santa hat. To make the card, I cut a hat from a standard A2 notecard, making sure to leave a hinge at the top for the card to open and close.

I cut out a white strip of paper for the bottom of the hat and added the Fleece Navidad (B1815) saying. For the Skating Sheep (C1813), I stamped him directly onto the hat and once again onto a scrap of white paper. I colored him with Copic markers and then paper-pieced the sheep body and head onto the sheep I had stamped on the hat. I added that extra step so that I wouldn't have to cut out the sheep's legs and skates. Believe me, I am not that skilled at cutting!

Today I am posting a card that I wish I had used as my Christmas card. It would definitely be an easy card to make in large quantities. To make the card, I used the awesome Tivoli Snowflake (98163) die as well as paper from the Yuletide 6" x 6" pack. I like that the snowflake is in a soft blue/green color instead of white. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the brown circle is popped up to add a little dimension to the card.
