Billy T James used to make me cry from laughing. His style of comedy was good clean kiwi humour. I do not recall ever hearing Billy use any foul language in any of the shows I saw. I remember he had Peter Rowley on the show and I thought they worked really well together. I had a paper run at the time and used to miss quite a few shows [No video recorder in our house in those days] I never read the book by Maurice Gee but I did catch a couple of episodes.
