Cuando me enteré de que la BBC había grabado una serie basada en el personaje de Arthur Conan Doyle ni le di mucha importancia ni, siendo sincero, le otorgué demasiada confianza... otra más, pensé.<br /><br />Sin embargo, fue una bomba. Un actor que ha conseguido, con el mérito que eso supone, quitarse la etiqueta de actor guepete de jovenzuelas fans, para convertirse en un gran profesional en la gran pantalla. Y lo ha hecho superando muchos y grandes obstáculos como su cara de niño. Sentarse delante del tablero y jugar al tocado y hundido nunca me pareció gran cosa, que me perdonen los fanáticos de este juego... si es que los hubiere. <br /> <br />Por eso cuando me enteré de que se estaba grabando una "adaptación" del juego para el cine me pareció buena idea. Me puse a pensar qué podría hacerse con algo así y se me pasaron por la cabeza mil cosas como batallas navales de la segunda guerra mundial, películas de submarinos, torpedos y acorazados, Uboats contra fragatas, portaaviones... joder, lo que nunca se me hubiera ocurrido era que el enfrentamiento de esa "adaptación" iba a ser contra naves alienígenas... <br /> <br />Y bueno que quieren, es Hollywood y ultimamente, no dan para mucho... <br /> <br />Es posible que esté entretenida y seguramente será un pelotazo en taquilla pero, qué queréis que os diga, yo hubiera preferido una buena película de submarinos, de batallas navales con sus torpedos y sus maniobras a lo loco ivan... ya os hacéis una idea de por dónde me hubieran gustado que fueran los tiros. No sé exactamente quién ha encumbrado sus películas pero a mí no han terminado de atraparme. Alguno querrá convencerme de lo contrario, estoy seguro, pero cuando una película (como 2046) me duerme literalmente en los dos intentos que le ofrezco... normalmente no suelo regalarle un tercero.<br /><br />Evidentemente es posible que yo sea demasiado prosaico para sus arquitectónicas películas y prefiera una buena patada en las costillas a una película de dos horas de poesía y amores retóricos. Mucho remake, mucha adaptación y muchas segundas (y terceras, cuartas...) partes.<br /><br />La mayoría de estos refritos no tienen calidad ni para exhibirse en los ya casi extintos cines de verano, pero de vez en cuando aparece un trailer que te hace albergar alguna esperanza.
