It must be rough after trying to help everyone else.” That question got me thinking about ALL of us. We all have dreams and goals. Sometimes we feel motivated and take action. Other times we get knocked off our horse by the challenges we face or simply get sidetracked because we are dealing with everyday life.

Here was my response (only I added some extra stuff for you!):

“I make sure to meditate every night and do yoga every morning.”

Superstar Strategy 1: Build in a routine to de-stress every day. It is hard to stay happy and motivated when you are carrying tension. Plus stress BLOCKS energy which in turn slows or blocks your manifestations. Make a list of things that bring you joy and make sure that you do one of those things every day.

“I have had to say NO and put up my boundaries. That has been the hardest lesson for me.”

Superstar Strategy 2: Give as much as you can to others but ONLY if you can. In order for you reach your goals and stay motivated, you can’t get weighed down by everyone else’s needs or ‘problems’.

Here are 3 things think about:
1. Sometimes when we give too much we are actually enabling the other to stay stuck - sometimes saying no inspires or perhaps forces them to find their own strength
2. The universe is abundant. If I say no, there will be another solution for them… and maybe even a better one!
3. When I take care of me first, I have all the energy in the world to help even more as well as go after my dreams.

“When I still feel unmotivated, I reflect on a time I was in the hospital at 14 and the girl next to me (who had the same condition) died and I didn’t - then I remember what a gift it was that I was saved and that as long as I am breathing, I have work to do on this planet (as we all do).”

Superstar Strategy 3: Discover WHY this goal is so important to you and use it as your motivator. For me, it is the story above. For you, dig deep and ask yourself what it is that drives you. Ex. A friend of mine is about to do the polar race to raise money for child abuse awareness. It has been a long and tough journey for him to accomplish this goal, but he stays motivated because he was abused as a child and is now determined to prevent this from happening to others. Know your driving force and that will keep you on fire.

How many of you have been to weight watchers, Jenny Craig or another weight loss program? Have a financial planner or insurance agent? Learned a sport or instrument? Had on the job training? Went to school? All those required that you had a coach to help you reach your goals… whether they are health, wealth, career or relationship related.
