My Award-Winning TV show, Cindy Uncorked, is coming back!!

It all started in 2011. I wanted to tackle social issues in a quirky way. I wrote the “show bible” but the timing wasn’t quite right until…

2016! I raised $30,000 and self-produced it. Coming from the theatre world, I had no idea what I was doing but I went for it. I pitched it to networks. Ar first, I kept hearing, “It is too edgy,” until I finally got the YES.

Oct 2016, one month before Trump came into office & before the #metoo movement ramped up, my first episode hit the airways. The first episode topic? “How Trauma Sits in Women’s Vaginas.” Love mail, hate mail & a crazy death threat!!! At the time, this topic was quite revolutionary.

In 2018, it won a Telly Award, alongside CBS News & CBS interactive in the “social issues” category for my body shaming episode. I was bowled over and thrilled to see my work making an impact.

Fast forward to 2025: With the world spinning out of control, I knew it was time to #GetUncorked about social issues again. I’ve been building out a new team here in France and adding a new segmeent to the show – Cindy Uncorked Bites where I will be tackling social issues through crazy comedic singing and more.

We are also reviving the “on the street” segment where YOU get to share your thoughts on various social issues.

Filming starts May 2026!!

Coucou!!!

La France a beaucoup de musique classique.

Elle a également beaucoup de jazz.

Mais y a-t-il des comédies musicales ?

Eh bien, oui. Mais c’est rare d’en trouver.

Et voilà ! Quand j’ai découvert ça, j’ai compris que c’était une excellente occasion d’emmener le glamour de Broadway en France.

Mais ensuite, une question m’est venue : « La France a-t-elle envie d’une touche de Broadway ? »

J’ai commencé mes recherches !

Pendant des mois, j’ai discuté avec des expatriés. J’ai demandé leur avis aux Français.

Et la plupart ont dit « OUI ».

J’ai même entendu dire que les touristes adoreraient aussi !

Dans ce one-woman show haut en énergie, plein d’humour et d’émotion, elle explore les joies et les tourments de l’amour à travers des chansons intemporelles de Broadway, des ballades sensuelles et des surprises musicales.

J’ai hâte de commencer à le jouer ici en France et partout en Europe !

Liberated One Women Musical Show

Imagine creating something that leaves people talking for weeks, months or maybe even years. Imagine knowing that you can have that lasting impact. Well…

What started as a suggestion from my PR strategist in England, Carrie Eddins, has lad to something that changed my life and had audience members having profound shifts and insights. Maybe it could potentially impact millions long term.

Let’s start at the very beginning…

As a new immigrant in France, I was feeling really lost on how to get my career going here. In July 2024, I hired Carrie to map out a strategy for me.

She came up with a brilliant idea – from lifelong sickness who triumphant performer at 50 as I will be turning 50 on May 28th. 2025.

And as part of building that campaign, she wanted me to write a new one woman musical show.

Throughout my career I have always been seen as the comedic actress and singer. One of my biggest frustrations has been that I wasn’t being taken seriously as a dramatic actor. Although often what shows up in our lives is a reflection of our beliefs and for me, it was scary to allow myself to be seen in a vulnerable way.

As I was writing the show, I found that I was going in very dark places with the material. My heartbreak from the mounting world events, alongside being Palestinian and witnessing my own personal family and lineage experiencing genocide, had me finding my voice on a much deeper level.

I wrote the show in only six weeks, finalizing it five days before the show. It was raw, unfiltered and unpolished. Yet…

The feedback I received from both my live and virtual audiences as well as a Broadway critic, completely blew my mind:

Not only had I liberated my own voice and was finally being seen as the full performer that I am, I realized that I had something really special here. It was time to develop it to the next level.

I have been working with writer Cindy Dawn Tschosik, to help me to shape it in a way that will have an even deeper and more profound impact, while adding more lightness to it.The goal is to have the final version written by my 50th birthday!!

After that, the sky is the limit!! It will be time to book performances in various cities, start the media campaign, discussion groups on the various themes of the show and more!

Oscar’s Gala: Haute Couture, Celebrity Interviewing & Singing

I am thrilled to announce that I am flying over the pond to be a celebrity interviewer for the Oscar’s Luxury Gala!! Here is the scoop:

In addition to leading the red carpet interviews, I will be taking the stage to perform a song that is the related to the theme of my new brand, Brave Leaders Rising.

This year, I am over the moon to announce I’m going to be wearing Parisian Haute Couture at this year’s Oscar’s Luxury Gala!!!

My creative director/stylist Cindy G. Garfias and I met with fashion designer Eddie Corps Couture to find the perfect dress for me and it came down to these two dresses. Which one is your fav? And…

Here’s the scoop:

Haute Couture is the most exclusive, custom fit, high end fashion out there. I’m totally freaking out. And just so grateful.

Once my publicist Kelly Bennett and Oscar’s gala producer Samira Kazemeni confirmed I would be leading celebrity interviews on the red carpet, I knew that I wanted to have a feminine look with hints of old Hollywood.

I started posting in various ex-pat groups, asking where I could find vintage stores… and Cindy messaged me.

Cindy is a fashion editor, stylist, designer, filmmaker and so much more. We connected, hit it off and the rest is history.

Here are the 2 looks:

For the 2nd dress, if that is the one we chose, I would wear a body suit underneath… but for now you get to see me in my underwear

The European Expansion

When it’s time, it’s time and nothing can stop it. Have you ever had that experience where you’ve had signs from the universe and suddenly everything becomes crystal clear? Next thing you know, your whole life changes?

Welcome to my 2023 where I blew up my whole life and moved to Europe – specifically Paris!! And all of it was divinely orchestrated. Part of the reason is that It’s time for me expand my message and performing career beyond Canada and the US.

But it’s so much more than that…

My mom used to tell me that I would watch French television as a child. My childhood best friend tells me that I always talked about moving to Paris. I was so sick growing up that I don’t remember.

When I went to Paris for the first time in 1998, I was the happiest I had ever been in my whole life. I felt completely at home. It made perfect sense because…

After my divorce in 2002, I was seeing a therapist and we did a past life regression. Turns out I was one of the most famous Burlesque performers of the 1900’s.

Canada is an awesome country but I always knew I didn’t belong there so in 2007 I started researching work visas so I could move to Paris. I was about to start the application when…

A weird series of events led me to go on a cruise. I landed in San Diego to take the cruise and the minute I walked out of the airport and my foot hit the sidewalk, I knew I was supposed to move to California instead.

2008: I started working US immigration and moved March 4th, 2009. I said to myself at the time, “well, I can spend some winters in the south of France and visit Paris.”

But then… Multiple rounds of work visas until I finally got my green card in 2017. And one sickness and surgery after another, on top of the all the other illnesses I already lived with.

My dream of spending time in France dimmed over the years.

Aug 2022: I was walking through Manhattan and I kept hearing people speaking in French and thought “remember that dream…” And I realized that I was FINALLY past all that immigration, I had reversed my illnesses significantly and could do it.

Dec 2022 in the south of France: All month I was the happiest and healthiest I had ever been in my whole life. And for the first time in my life, I could eat whatever I wanted, stay up late and live without restrictions. After a lifetime of illness, I was finally free.

Everyone in my circle kept telling me to move here and I knew in my soul that it had been my destiny my whole life. But…

I decided to say no.

New Year’s Eve 2022 into 2023, I was staring at the Eiffel Tower and said to myself, “I have never been able to give my life in the US a real shot because I was always dealing with major obstacles. I have an amazing career and friends there, and there is nothing holding me back now from enjoying the life I created.”

I got back to NYC Jan 2023. When I walked into my apartment and saw my whiteboard with crazy amounts of positive pick me ups, I thought, “Wow, I didn’t realize how much I was struggling here.”

As the months passed, I found myself getting sicker again. I was crying often, sorting through my feelings and coming to terms with leaving 15 years of hard work and everything I had created in the US. And… the hit the fan.

The universe always gives us clues when it’s time to move on.

I got a flu that turned into bronchitis … 3 months of that was followed by 7 people in my life dying, the cockroach infestation in my home due to the guy below me, 2 floods and live wires. It was nuts.

I finally surrendered and by mid-May, I had made my final decision and flew off the Paris for 6 weeks to research and plan.

I got back in July, started French immigration and donating the majority of my possessions. I also started making massive changes in my career (which you will start seeing soon).

I moved here Oct 31st and while French bureaucracy is truly ridiculous, I am making my way through it and at peace. And once again super healthy and free.

When I reflect back on all this, I am SO grateful for my 15 years in the US. It was a necessary detour and the most important piece that brought me to my destiny. I have met some of the most remarkable humans and had opportunities that have been truly mind blowing.

And the great news is that while I now live in Paris, I can continue to fly back to see friends and clients.

BIG lessons… trust that signs and that everything unfolds as it needs to. And if something is meant for you, you will know in your soul when it’s time (and the will hit the fan to tell you too).

Oscar’s Viewing Party: Cindy’s the Opening Performer!

Sometimes the hardest things you do can lead you to great things. Before I get into the story…

I am thrilled to announce that I am the opening performer for Hollywood’s largest Oscar’s viewing party!!

Sir Earl Toon from Kool and the Gang is performing that night.

In addition to that, I just appeared in the Hollywood News list of over 100 celebrities who are walking the red carpet at the Oscar’s Viewing Party:

It’s an honored to be included with all these amazing talents.

How did this happen?

I’ve been performing professionally for over 25 years but this specific journey all started in 2016.

I decided to self-produce my own TV show, Cindy Uncorked – only it ended up being a flurry of crazy all at once:

2 of the show vendors didn’t do what they said they would = financial losses + problems with sponsors

When the show came out, I received soooo much criticism and hate (And I allowed that hate to hurt me deeply)

I was in the middle of another round of immigration when Trump came into office and made changes – which caused a bunch of delays

Which led to me living on the road for 9 months (since I couldn’t settle anywhere without my new paperwork)

I was recovering from a major surgery

It was a lot all at once.

As I was living on the road, I ended up in L.A. Feb 2017.

I saw that the Grammy’s were coming up and I decided to pitch myself to do red carpet interviews for the Grammy’s party.

I still remember sitting on the porch, legs shaking, voice cracking…. But I picked up the phone and I got a YES.

While doing my thing on the red carpet Kelly Bennett (Hollywood Publicist) spotted me.

Shortly after, she encouraged me to submit my body shaming episode for a Telly Award…. And I WON!

CBS Interactive got Gold, CBS News got Silver and my little self-produced show got Bronze.

It’s a reminder to “F the haters” people. Focus on who lifts you up.

Around the same time, I was pitching the show and landed a distribution deal with a network.

Kelly got me into other Hollywood events to be a celebrity interviewer.

Fast forward to today…. My overwhelm is enormous. Grateful that the impact I am making with my work is continuing to grow… and you all know how much I have to say

Remember: Sometimes, the most difficult journeys end up giving you so much in the long term.

Keep dreaming, Keep believing.

Cindy’s Receiving the Invisible Disabilities® Perseverance Award

Ever open your big trap for years on end to advocate for yourself and others… and lordy, it’s a struggle and you feel like your efforts are failing?

This is how I felt my whole life, constantly finding ways to educate people on chronic illness and pain, also known as invisible disabilities.

After speaking up for years on end and dealing with so much push back and criticism, I am extremely humbled, honored and thrilled to announce that I will be receiving the Invisible Disabilities Association’s Invisible No More Perseverance Award 2022 at their upcoming gala. To be recognized by this community makes me feel seen and heard and like my efforts do matter.

The awards ceremony and gala will be held on October 22nd 2022… and it’s virtual so you can attend!

The theme of the gala is titled ‘Time To Believe’.

Why?

Because all of us who live with one or more illnesses, instead of having our voices heard and needs met, we hear…

“But you look fine.”

“You’re exaggerating”

“Don’t be such a drama queen.”

It is TIME TO BELIEVE people when they advocate for themselves.

It’s time for people living with invisible illnesses to be heard, and give power to their voices.

Hello Gorgeous, Sexy, Brave Souls!

Oh my word, I am so super jazzed!! I am thrilled to announce that I am the new host of “Making a Difference” on the Daily Ad Brief.

But let me start at the beginning…

Back in fall 2021, I had a media interview and a few hours later a man named Mike White (the executive producer at Daily Ad Brief) called to say he was impressed by my skills and wanted to hire me as a segment host.

I LOVE interviewing people, especially because I am sooooo curious about others and the world. Of course I said YES.

Now here is a lesson…

ALWAYS SHOW UP AS YOUR BEST SELF… in that moment.

The day of that interview and my hosting offer, I was in the middle of a bad bout with my chronic illness.

How could I be my best self? How could YOU be your best self on those rough days?

I don’t believe in faking a smile but I do believe in taking the time to breathe, ground and focus on the impact I want to make.

While it wasn’t the full out, high energy me… it was the best me, in that moment. And the truth of who I am shone through.

Same with you – don’t force yourself to push through. Honor you and show up as your best self in that moment

Okay back to the story.

By January 2022, the first segment they had me hosting was called, “Marketing for Your Future.” It was fascinating learning about all the crazy new technologies including NFTs, blockchain and Web 3.0… which I still don’t get after interviewing over a 100 people 🙃.

Fast forward to June. Given that I am all about causes and human rights, I was thrilled when I got moved to host the segment “Making a Difference.”
