Our Advent Chorus practice is about to get under way.  Even if you haven’t voiced your intent, you are still welcome to participate!  We will meet this coming Sunday from 7-8:30pm following the service in the sanctuary.

After the service on this coming Sunday, November 8th, please plan to join us for our next community dinner. The main dish will be provided, but we’re asking you to bring a side or dessert to share. Although we prefer that you bring a food item, if you are unable to make it to the store or cook, we ask that you would contribute $5 toward the cost of the meal (main dish, paper goods, etc…)

Our host congregation is putting on their annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day and is in need of participants and volunteers.  The proceeds will go to local homeless agencies and food banks.  See the website http://www.ccapca.org/turkeytrot.htm for more details or to register.

We are looking for voices to put together a chorus to sing for our Lessons and Carols service on December 13th.  Practice will begin soon and the commitment will be 1 to 1 1/2 hours per week.  If you want to join in making a joyful noise, please email Rachel at rdrevlow at theascension dot org.

If your last name begins with A-L please bring a taco or burrito filling (Ex. seasoned meat, lettuce, beans, cheese…). M-Z bring a side dish or dessert. Tortillas and tortilla chips will be provided.  We look forward to being with you!
