But unlike so many other people, my solution did not include working harder, longer, or even faster.

Instead, I wanted to find ways to work less, have multiple income streams that are both predictable and reliable so that I’d have more time to do other things other than chasing dollars.

Today, I’m going to share with you what I’ve uncovered and how I’m now filling up my PayPal account each and every month.

What I’m going to share with you is unlike anything I’ve every shared and it’s likely not something you’ve ever heard from anybody else, so I would highly encourage you to tune in Tuesday July 27th at 7pm EST (4pm PST) for this special broadcast.

For some people, marketing seems like a really challenging thing to do. In fact, it's really nothing more than common sense. Let me explain.

The Simplicity of Marketing

For some people, marketing seems like a really challenging thing to do. In fact, it’s really nothing more than common sense. Let me explain.

In all my years of marketing both online and offline, what I’ve always found interesting is how complex people tend to make their marketing efforts. They add layers and layers of complexity to something that should otherwise be a fairly simple process.

Here are the 3 core elements to a successful business.

1) Product: You need something to offer people, and it does not have to be a product that you’ve created. There is plenty of success to be had in marketing other people’s products.

2) Audience: You need to be able to reach the kind of people who can and who will buy your products. Again, this does not mean you have to start out with your own list, there are plenty of lists already out there that you can leverage in order to promote your products.

3) Offer: This is where the marketing is. You’ve simply got to make offers in everything you send out. The more offers you make, the more people will take you up on your offer and the more sales you’ll make.

My rule of thumb is that nothing goes out the door without an offer because I know that the only way to make a sale is to start out by making an offer.

If you’re sitting around wondering just what to do next, or how you’re going to make a living marketing on the Internet, now is the time to get to work on these 3 elements. It does not matter if you’ve been in business for years or if you’re just getting started, these are the elements that make business happen.

I can help you with any or all of these things, from helping you get a product, to finding an audience and making offers they will respond to, this is the work I’ve been doing for my clients since 1995.

Recently, I’ve been helping my clients offer other people’s products and rather than the standard 50% commissions, they are keeping a full 100% of the sale instead.

Think about it, with no customer service, no fulfillment issues, and nothing to do other than make offers to new audiences, this is the best, most effective way to fill up your Pay-Pal account quickly!

The neat thing with this type of arrangement is that all you’re really doing is getting an offer in front of an audience and letting other people do all the hard stuff.

They’ve created the product. They’ve written the sales letter. They’ve done the testing and refining, Now you come along an connect their message with an appropriate audience and they handle everything else while all the revenue goes to you.

Here’s just one example of just such a product:

http://www.UltimateWealth.com/e1.htm

If you want to offer this to your list, all you do is buy one copy for yourself and complete the information they require to set up your own link so every sale results in 100% commission for you. Simple. And there many more products just like this that you can sell as if they are your own.

The Internet remains a place where there is endless possibilities for building a business.

If you need help, I’m here for you. If you want to get on the fast track, drop me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to meet with you to show you how I can help you.

Be outstanding!

This is the Most Effective Marketing Tool of All!

If there’s one marketing element that has helped me become more successful than any other it’s customer testimonials.

Listen, I can rave about just how good I am as a coach all day long, but that will never be enough to convince a new client to hire me as their coach, consultant, or mentor.

But if my clients rave about it, their words have incredible power and more often than not, it’s their words that close the deals, not mine.

Ironically, as a long-time marketer, I can market anybody in any market yet I can’t sell myself! But I can let me customers sell me instead and that’s how I build my business.

If you’re not using testimonials in your marketing, on your web site, in your e-mail messages, you’re leaving the most powerful marketing tool out of the mix!

What’s it costing you to NOT have other people raving about you?

How many more clients would buy from you if only they could hear from people who have already bought from you and who have experienced what you offer and are so happy about it, they can’t wait to tell the world!

Well, I’m writing to you to tell you that there is new, more powerful way to use client testimonials on your web site.

The days of using simple text-only testimonials on your web site are over. There is a new, much more powerful, much more profitable way to put testimonials to work for you, and it’s called “Signature Testimonials.”

Unlike anything else on the web, these testimonials are captured, edited, and presented in very high quality right on any page of your web site. You just have to hear them for yourself to truly understand their real power.

Listen to mine by going to my web site at

http://www.UltimateWealth.com

Just turn up your speakers and listen to how my clients are raving about what they got from working with me.

Now, these Signature Testimonials have already helped me enroll new clients into my coaching programs, seminars, web casts, and they have even helped me sell more products on my web site.

I’ve also eliminated the need to have potential new clients speak with my past of current clients before making the decision to work with me. Now I simply invite them to listen to my Signature Testimonials and that’s all it takes!

If you’re a coach, a speaker, or if you sell products or services where you are the creator of the products, or the one who delivers the service, you need Signature Testimonials!

If you have clients who are raving fans, you want to use Signature Testimonials so that you let what your clients have to say about you do the selling for you.

Have a look here for more details:

http://www.SignatureTestimonials.com

I learned my lesson about using testimonials in my marketing a long, long time ago. I’d spent thousands of dollars in direct mailing a sales letter to possible clients and got not one response! When I added just 2 testimonials to that same letter, I began seeing checks appearing in my mailbox.

From that day forward, I’ve been using testimonials in everything I create for myself or my clients. They work.

They increase your sales, and honestly, I’ve never seen anything quite as good as Signature Testimonials and I’m really excited about putting them to work for my business.

Signature Testimonials are the creation of my friend, Mike Lamb, a long-time professional radio host with a passion for helping businesses.

If you’re looking for a powerful marketing advantage, I suggest you have a close look at what Mike is offering here with his Signature Testimonials.

This week, I'm doing something very, very different. Instead of talking to you about building your business, I'm going to help you in an area that most people never give a second thought to until that phone call comes and there is an emotional crisis you must deal with in that moment.

It’s 2am.

The phone rings.

At first you ignore it and hope it stops. It rings again, and again, and again. Finally, you stumble out of bed and search for the handset.

On the phone is somebody you care a lot about. A parent, sibling, your significant other. Something horrible has just happened to them.

What do you say to them?

What should you never say?

Do you even know what you would say in such a crisis situation?

The truth is most of us have no clue what to say, and in the moment what we say can have a lasting impact. You can either help them immensely, or what you can say can actually make things worse.

This week, I’m doing something very, very different. Instead of talking to you about building your business, I’m going to help you in an area that most people never give a second thought to until that phone call comes and there is an emotional crisis you must deal with in that moment.

It happened to me back in 1995. Luckily, I had just completed an intensive training program and had at least some idea how to handle the situation.

In my case, I prevented a best friend from committing suicide. Since that time, I’ve been faced with emotional crises a dozen or more times and in each instance, I’ve always known what to do and how to handle it.

What about you?

I want to you stop what you’re doing, and make a note in your calendar right now to tune in and listen to an interview I will be conducting this Thursday.

There is NO CHARGE to listen to the interview. There is no required reading, nothing to do other than show up ready to listen and learn.

I will be interviewing Aurora Winter who has made a career out of coaching people in crisis. Her message is not only timely, it’s important for all of to hear.

She is asking only that you register so she knows you’re coming and she will send you the information so you can listen to the interview uninterrupted.

I am personally really looking forward to hearing what she has to say because I know I can learn a thing or two and you will be able to as well.

http://www.UltimateWealth.com/aurora.htm

There comes a time in every lifetime when you arrive at a cross-roads. The decisions you make at this critical time can and will define who you are and how much success you ultimately achieve in your life and in your business. Yet many people fail to make the best decisions in these situations and end up regretting it for the rest of their lives. Here is a better way to make the kinds of decisions that will give you what you really want in life.

It was 1995 and I was struggling to get my business off the ground. I was excited, spinning my wheels, yet getting nowhere fast. Money was coming in, but more of it was going out than was coming in.

Before very long, I found myself questioning whether or not to close my business and give up on my lifelong dreams.

When you arrive at a point like this, there are two choices you can make. First, you can choose to throw in the towel and walk away. Many people take this route and in later years begin to regret their decision.

The other option is to keep going and find new ways to get through the rough times. While you may wonder if there’s a third choice of doing nothing, that’s really not making a choice at all and it’s almost the same as giving up because if you do nothing, you’ll soon have nothing.

So there really is only one choice and that’s to keep going.

At some point in every lifetime, there are going to be rough and uncertain times. Later in life, you’ll look back and realize that whatever it was that you decided to do during those times has literally defined who you are in some profound way.

For those people that decide to give up, they often end up feeling deep regret and tend to fade into the fabric of society rarely ever making anything much of their lives.

If you are to become a true leader, you are probably the type to keep pushing through, no matter how tough things get. In our society today, there is a real lack of true leaders. We have a lot of people who talk a big game, but few who do what’s needed to step up and lead.

When things were really tough going for me, I made the decision to stick with it. Although everybody around me at the time was encouraging me to do the “safe” thing and go find a job, I stayed the course, never lost sight of my dream, and soon began to see things changing for the better.

Today, people think I’m lucky or that I had a few good breaks that made all the difference, when the reality could not be farther from the truth.

What I had then, you have now.

What I did then, you can do now.

The only thing that will ever stop you is you.

When you truly understand this very important point, things will change in your life for the better. The biggest obstacle to your success is you. The biggest challenge you’ll ever face in life is getting past your own limiting beliefs.

Every successful person, every leader, gets and uses advice from other people in order to get where they want to go. People who rise to the level of becoming a leader know that limiting beliefs can keep them back and so they get help in order to break through to the next level.

As human beings, we get far too close to our own beliefs and they become so much a part of who we are that we can’t even see them, let alone change them. What’s needed is a person who can see us from a fresh perspective, a person who is not involved in what I like to call our “internal politics.”

Whether it’s the President of a nation, of a company, or even a solo entrepreneur, those who rise to great levels of success all surround themselves with people they rely on to help them see the way forward.

Some call them advisers, others call them mentors, and still others refer to them as coaches. Whatever title you use to refer to these people, it’s important to realize that they are the people behind the leaders.

These people are often trained to see beyond what is, and instead put their attention on what could be. They also have a keen awareness for helping you bring your limiting beliefs to the surface so that you can address them in ways that are productive.

For many people, having a coach is the difference between mediocrity and domination of their careers.

Early on in my career, I was lucky enough to realize how important having outside help was and I sought out people who could help me get past the barriers that I was simply unable to break trough myself.

I’ve had at least one, and at times as many as 6 coaches working with me at any given time.

The results I’ve seen in my own life have been amazing thanks to the people I’ve chosen to work with along the way. With their help, I’ve shaved decades of trial and error away, improved my relationships, and have earned much, much more money in a shorter period of time that I would have had I not had a coach.

Oh, did I mention that I also became a well-known thought-leader in the marketing world and continue to called upon for my guidance and opinions by other industry leaders. None of this would have been possible had I not discovered the power of having a coach every step of the way.

I have been coaching business leaders from around to see beyond the obvious, to see what they are truly capable of, and to get past the beliefs that would have otherwise held them back.

I’m part of a growing legion of professional coaches who work to hasten the rise to success of businesses, enterprises, and individuals. Since 1995, when coaching really started to gain traction, coaching has become recognized as the “must-have” resource for people and organizations looking for rapid growth.

While coaching is not designed to replace traditional psychotherapy, it is a powerful tool that can take you to new levels of success in very short periods of time.

The issues best suited for coaching involve business strategy, personal development, and empowerment.

Leading coaches make little distinction between ‘personal’ and business issues because they realize how tightly related the two can be and instead choose to work on both, often simultaneously.

In my work as a coach, I’ve yet to run into a single person who could not benefit from coaching. The rewards of working with a great coach are immeasurable because once an issue is resolved, it’s resolved for life. That means that the benefits of the work you do with a coach are in place for the rest of your life.

Think of it as an investment with an unlimited ROI because once you learn a lesson from your coach, that lesson is yours for the rest of your life to use as often as you choose.

It is important to pick your coach wisely. Be sure the person, or people, you choose can not just see the vision you hold for your future, but can get on board with it as well. Your coach should have one single agenda: yours.

They should speak your language and see the best in you in every situation. And they should have a proven track record of success working with people who are similar to you or have a track record working with businesses that are similar to yours.

Finally, your coach should have current and past clients who have become raving fans of their work.

While these kinds of coaches are not always easy to find, it’s worth the extra effort to locate them because the results they will bring to your life will have a definite and powerful impact not just on you as a person, but on everybody you interact with as well.

When you find a coach that can meet these criteria, hang onto them! Do all you can to make sure they remain part of your inner circle for as long as they continue to bring measurable value to the table.

When you’re faced with a major decision, don’t make that decision on your own, get advice, get a coach who can help you see things from a new perspective because the decisions you make today will have a profound and lasting impact on your tomorrow.

If you’ve been involved in marketing of any kind over the last two decades, I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “content is King.” Marketers, successful marketers, live by that mantra. When I look at the Internet what I really see are two things. There is the content and then there are the applications that allow you to interact with the content.

To completely over-simplify things, the applications are what make is possible for us to create, share, and use the content we find on the Internet. So to say content is King, you’d have to also say that the applications are Queen in order to have a more complete view of the Internet. There are all kinds of applications from the browsers that make surfing the Internet possible to all sorts of applications that manage and deliver the content.

Think about it. Without the application we know as Google, how would you find the content you’re looking for on the Internet? I’ve been there and I remember finding things online was next to impossible, but that was back in 1987. Then we have Adobe TM Flash that allows us to see and hear sounds and images over the Internet.

There are sorts of content management systems available to us today that simply didn’t exist a few years back. As it becomes easier and easier to manage and digest, the demand for new content grows and grows.

Marketers who create quality content often find they are able to generate large amounts of traffic, they usually have large mailing lists, and it almost goes without saying that they usually have healthy bank accounts.

It all starts with the content. The more you create, share, distribute, the better off you’ll be in building a profitable business on the web. If you want the real secret to Internet success, this is it.

Content comes in many forms, and it’s best to use as many forms as possible on your web site because there are now so many ways to access and use content and not everybody wants it the same way. Some people love to read, others prefer to listen, some prefer to sit back and watch a video.

As you develop your content, think about creating not just written articles, white papers, and special reports. Be sure to add streaming audio, podcasts, videos, screen-captures, and even animations to your mix.

Sometimes it’s best to offer the same content in different formats. For instance, you might offer an article as both a regular web page and a downloadable .PDF file. You might offer a video and also offer just the audio track from that same video.

Now how do you get from creating content to building a successful business?

Think about why most people use the Internet. They get online and check e-mail. They log into their social networks to keep up with their friends. They search for information to help them answer a question. They look for things to buy. They come to play games and meet people. All of these activities revolve around finding and using content.

When you’ve got content on your web site and you make it easy for people to find, you increase the traffic to your web site, naturally.

The more content you have, the more people will be stopping by your webs site. Truly the days of the single-page sales letter web sites are done. You’ve got to do more than make a compelling sales pitch, you’ve got to demonstrate that you’re the leader in your market. You’ve got to show people why they need what you have and how it will truly make their lives better. And most of all, you’ve got to let them sample your stuff before they buy.

Let’s look at it from the customer’s perspective. Your customer wants the best of what’s available but how can they figure out what’s best from a sales letter alone? They need more information that’s not in the form of a sales pitch. They need to feel like they can try it on, test it out, and they can do that when you offer them plenty of content on your web site.

So if you’re selling a product that is best demonstrated in a video, be sure you have a number of videos on your web site showing customers using and loving your product. If you sell consulting, demonstrate your knowledge of your topic with articles, reports, white papers, audio presentations, and even videos of you speaking about to an audience.

As you plan your content, also keep in mind how you’re going to present it on your web site so that’s its in the formats people can really use, that it’s easy to find, and that’s it readily accessible from different Internet devices, including smart phones.

If you’ll take to time to do this, what you’ll soon realize is that your sales letters will perform better, people will not need as much strong-arm salesmanship before they buy, your mailing list will grow, and your web site will show up in more places on the Internet.

It’s no surprise that web sites that offer a lot of content lead the field when it comes to sales. Take a look at your web site today and think about how a new visitor would really get to sample what it is you do without having to buy what you’re selling.

How good is your web site at attracting new visitors without little or no direct effort on your part? Do you have enough easily accessible content on your web site to keep people coming back for more?

Most web sites, including my own, can always use more great content. Adding content is the best and profitable use of your marketing dollars because the return on your investment continues for years.

For instance, in 1991 I wrote my very first article on marketing. It was published in a national business magazine a few months later and it continues to appear on the Internet almost 20 years later. In that time, this one article has been read more than a million times, and has generated countless sales for my business. What other kind of marketing can do that?

In my opinion, no other marketing piece can do what adding fresh content to your web site can. Ideally, you’ll be adding new content regularly, and expiring content that is no longer relevant. When you do, you’ll have the most profitable marketing strategy working for you all day, every day for years to come.
President’s Day… Another Way of Looking at it!

You’ll never see this day the same way again!

You might have guessed that I don’t see “President’s Day” as the rest of the country does. To me, the real heroes will always be the presidents of companies. Yes, even a 1-person operation is worth celebrating today.

Throughout time, it has been the business owner who has created the jobs, taken the risks, invented the technology, and generally helped to move society forward in so many areas.

It’s the people who dare to step into the role of company President who are the heroes that I celebrate today.

I’ve always been impressed by these people. I’ve always aspired to be one. And I’ve spent the bulk of my career encouraging people to step up and become the President of their own organizations.

For those who are not in business, you are still, and will always be, the President of your own life. You’re the person who decides what’s right, what’s important, and where you want to go. That takes guts and if you’re in this role (as we all are) you set the course, you make to rules, and you get to live with the results – good or bad.

So today, as you think about President’s Day, think about the people who are, just like you, embracing their roles as President of their business, or as President of their lives.

Take a moment and ponder this. If you were truly the person who was making all the rules, the person in charge of your life, the President of it all, what would you do differently than you’re doing today?

Would you be putting up with the things you’ve been putting up with in your life that you don’t enjoy?

Would you be looking for new and better ways to live your life?

Would you have plans in place to build an even more successful business?

Go ahead and give yourself the promotion you truly deserve. Go ahead and sit at the helm of your life and take back the control that’s truly yours.

Go ahead and assume the position of being the President of everything in your life and stop giving away your power.

Celebrate today, not for those people who have served as heads of state, but the real heroes, those that served and continue to serve as the leaders of the companies that make our world work.

If you’ll allow me, I’d like to include YOU in that group.

Want a BIGGER Mailing List?

But you’re not sure where to start?

I had a call with a new coaching client the other day who wanted, more than anything, to build a list that he could use to market his products. He had the right idea, but his ideas on how to go about building that list sounded like they came from an old time movie!

In fact, he was so lost when it came to building a list that had he even tried what he had in mind, he would have lost his shirt! A lot has changed on the web in recent years, and building a list today is NOTHING like it was just 12 months ago.

In fact, today, it’s easier, faster, and cheaper than at anytime in history, yet few people have figured that out yet! Over the past year, I’ve been showing my clients where the tools are on the web, how to quickly build a list of people who WANT to hear from you, and I’ve been showing them what to say and how often to say it so that they make more sales.

I’ve been really amazed at their results. I’ve been watching them add new clients, and increase their sales and build larger and larger lists and it’s been a complete thrill for me.

I’ve been doing these same things too, and my business is also growing and I’m picking up new clients and adding new sales regularly. But is what I’m doing and showing my clients to do even legal? And if it is, why doesn’t it cost anything?

It’s a lot like when I first discovered the power of e-mail. At that time, NOBODY was using e-mail to sell anything. But I knew it was a great tool and I began building a list and mailing to my list each and every week. This was back in 1995.

Over time, word got out and soon enough everybody jumped on the e-mail bandwagon and soon e-mail just wasn’t as effective as it once was. What I’ve discovered is every similar. It’s not popular at the moment, but it will be in just a few years. But for the small group of us who know about it today, we’re making the most of it!

In the last 6 weeks, I’ve added close to 1,000 people to my mailing list. These people are HIGHLY targeted prospects for my business, and I can now contact them daily if I wanted to, and it cost me exactly nothing to do. The annual return on these new prospects is easily going to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for my company. My marketing costs are zero.

If you’d like to know more, I would invite you to request a complimentary one-on-one coaching session with me using the form you’ll find on this web site.

http://www.robertimbriale.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=104&Itemid=63

If you’re in the information marketing business, you’re a coach, a speaker, or a consultant, I want to talk to you about this because it will change everything about your business!

Please note that I can only work with 3 more people at this point, so if you like what you’re hearing, run, don’t walk, to grab you complimentary coaching session now!

Remember, those who succeed never wait, they take action, lots of action, and they do it now!

I get asked a lot about how you generate leads to build a mailing list. Back in 1995, yes that was a loooong time ago, I was teaching people how to generate leads.

The Internet was a very different place back then, and few business owners really thought much of it. In fact, many believed it was just another trend or fad that would soon fade. I never thought that for one moment from the very first day I logged onto an online service in 1984 to this very day.

The basic premise of generating a lead has not changed. In order to get the contact information you want from a potential customer, they need to get something of value from you. That’s the BIG secret of lead generation.

Make them an offer of something that they view of being valuable and they will generally be happy to give you their contact
information.

Offer them a trip to Hawaii and you’ll build a list of tens of thousands of people in just a few days.

On your web site, you should ideally have a number of offers, and not all of them should be linked to from your home page.

I use some of my lead generation pages for book launches, search engine traffic, joint-ventures, banner ads, classified ads, direct mail, and press releases so they are NOT visible to the general public.

I’m running a new campaign now for an audio program I have on tapping into your prospect’s emotions well creating your marketing materials. Using this simple page, I’m building what will soon be a new prospecting list for my products.

Take a look here: http://www.UltimateWealth.com/money.htm

Go ahead and request the audio to see how the system works, and to get a copy of this audio for your own education.

Then, give some thought to a simple page you can create to generate leads from all of your marketing efforts.

I’ve found a new e-mail service provider that has been very good in terms of getting e-mail delivered, ease of use, and has decent
tech support too. If you need a new mail service provider, have a look here: http://tinyurl.com/ybx8tzn

As always, if you have questions, please do let me know!

You can make this year one to remember (in a GOOD way!!) if you’re willing to stay focused and do the things that really matter most.

Be outstanding!

Welcome to 2010, the start of a fresh new year, and a new decade!

Every year at this time, I get tons of e-mail messages from people who are eager to tell me about their resolutions for the next year. While I am indeed impressed at what people plan on doing, what really does it for me is to see the RESULTS of what had been planned.

So as you look back over the past year, what did you accomplish? What goal did you set for yourself that you hit, and even exceeded? Or do you even remember the goals you set for yourself?

Like so many people out there, I too set goals for myself at this time of year. But I do it with a twist. Let me share with you what I mean.

Success Begins in the Shower!

I start my goal-setting process every morning while I’m in the shower. Yes, it does sound like an odd place to be goal-setting, but it works for me.

It’s a time of day when I’m not able to hear the phone ring, where I can’t check e-mail, and when I’m pretty sure that no matter what else is happening in the house or who rings the door bell, I won’t be able to hear it or respond to it.

It’s a quiet moment each day that allows me to think about what I want from that day. Is there something that I could get done that would move me towards my bigger goals? What is on my plate that’s annoying me and would feel so much better if it simply weren’t there?

Who can I call, who can I e-mail, or who can I reach out to in some way to get a question I have answered? These are the kinds of questions I ask myself each morning, as I enjoy a quiet moment in the shower.

New Goals for 2010

For the New Year, I’ll create bigger goals, but not 100 of them, not 50, or even 10. I’ll simply put my attention on 2 to 3 bigger goals that I’ve got for the coming year. It’s just easier to stay focused on fewer goals and you’ll have more energy for each of them when there are few of them to deal with.

From there, I start to plan out my first week of the year. What steps could I take even today, New Year’s Day, to start the ball moving in the direction I want to go? Today is a great day to send personal e-mail messages to people, so if nothing else, I’ll be writing this message, and many other messages to people who will play a role in helping to make my goals a reality.

Each day I make sure I have something on my list that is tied to making these 2 or 3 main goals a reality. Personally, I use Microsoft® Outlook and create an appointment for 8am each day of the week. In the appointment details screen, I’ll use it to enter my list for the day. So on Monday morning, there is an 8am appointment that when I double-click on it, opens up and I can
see the things I hope to get done that day.

It’s a very simple system that works well for me and doesn’t require anything fancy. I just use the tools that are already on my computer in front of me.

Anting that does not get done on the day I’d hoped to get it done, is simply copied and pasted onto the next day’s 8am appointment. I call the Monday appointment “Monday’s Power List”
and just change the day, but there is one for each day.

Success Strategy for 2010

Now for 2010, I’d like to share with you what this year is going to be about. In 2009, the year was about completion, it was the end of the decade, the end of en era, and the end of so many other things too.

When we look ahead to 2010, this year will be about “creation.” It’s a year where you’ll lay the groundwork for the next phase of your life and for your career. It’s a time to decide what you’ll no longer stand for and what you’re now committed to having in your life.

I suspect too that we’ll see this echoed in our society with continued big changes in how our world operates. Change is a good thing, but getting through it can be prove to be turbulent as we move from what was comfortable to what will eventually be the next level in our continued expansion.

Do yourself a favor and IGNORE as much of it as you can, and keep your eyes on the goals you’ve set for yourself. What happens “out there” has little to do with you on a personal level, but what you focus on each and every day affects you personally 100% of the time.

Consider that you are the most important person in the world and that you must take care of yourself above and beyond anything else. When you’re strong, when you’re motivated and empowered, you can change your life in ways that will amaze you.

When you’re not feeling strong, you end up being bumped and pummelled by life and you struggle to just survive.

The good news is that you always have a choice, no matter how rough things may seem right now. You were given free-will at birth and that means that you get to make the decisions in your life that are best for you. If you’ll simply do that one little thing, 2010 will indeed be a year you’ll remember.

It can be the year that changes everything.

I wish you success, happiness, insight and inspiration and I’m looking forward to hearing about how you took your life to many new levels of success of this year! And be sure to let me know how I can help you be the best you can be!

Be outstanding!

The Best Christmas Gift of All

There is something you can give yourself now that doesn’t come in box, a bag, or wrapped up with bow, that you’ll love more than anything else you get this Christmas

You may be excited today because you’re going to both giving and receiving gifts for those you love most, but did you know that there is a gift that you can give yourself that will last a lifetime and that will give you great joy for all the years of your life?

It was back in 1994, Christmas Day to be exact that I gave myself this gift. Back then I was not making much progress in my career. In fact, I had just recently left a full time job with a great salary and benefits to go out on my own.

With only moderate success to show for my efforts, I knew I needed something more than I had access to at that moment. Although I can’t remember where I first heard or saw it, but the message I got, clearly, was that the best gift you could ever give yourself is the gift of knowledge.

Up until that point in my life, I wasn’t picking up and reading many books. I wasn’t listening to many tapes, and I had never been to a seminar. I did read a magazine here and there, but I really wasn’t growing my knowledge in ways that would make a difference.

That changed for me on Christmas Day in 1994 when I sat there looking at the gifts I’d received that Christmas and thought “how long will I really remember any of these gifts?” That day, I decided to get more serious about acquiring more knowledge.

I’ve never stopped learning. I’ve never stopped growing, and I have absolutely no intentions of stopping from today until the day I stop breathing. Jim Rohn has said many times that the best investment you can make is the investment you make in yourself.

The great truth in that statement is that what you learn today can never be taken away from you and once you learn something you can use that knowledge for the rest of your life.

I would guess that since that day in 1994, I’ve probably given myself several hundred thousand dollars worth of education in the form of books, seminars, coaching, web casts, tapes, and CDs. Today I’m seen by many as being a “Master Coach” because of my vast knowledge base from which I can tap into to help my clients.

This affords me the ability to charge decent amounts for my time in exchange for being able to deliver just what a client needs the moment they need it. In many respects, I’ve become a valuable resource to my clients because of the decision I made on Christmas Day 1994.

You may want to make a new decision for yourself too this Christmas Day. Decide to give yourself the gift that will keep on giving for as long as you live. It’s the gift that can never be taken from you and it’s the gift that will change everything.

All you have to do now is decide that you want to become more than you are today. Make the decision now and then take one small step in that direction. Maybe you’ll enroll in a seminar, or maybe you’ll order a book, or an audio CD today. Whatever it is, do it for yourself now.

This Christmas can be much more memorable for you if you do, and it could well turn out to be the Christmas that changes everything.

Here are a couple of gift ideas for you:

Under the seminar banner, my good friend, Terri Levine is hosting an event in Los Angeles this January. I will be in attendance because I don’t just talk about learning new things, I actively pursue knowledge. It’s actually become one of my passions in life.

You can get the details of Terri’s Business Bootstrapping event here:

http://tinyurl.com/terrilevineevent

If you’re more inclined towards learning at home, have a look at the programs offered in my company store. There are many of them under $20 and they are worth much, much more in terms of the value they will bring you.

The store is open on Christmas Day too… http://www.UltimateWealthStore.com

Go ahead, take step in the right direction. Make an investment in you and give yourself a gift that will pay great dividends for the rest of your life.

Have a happy and fun holiday!

Are you one of those people who has a strong tendency to pay close attention to the news? Do you always seem to be up to date on whatever is going on out there?

You’re up to date on the latest political posturing, the economy, you know if the Dow closed up or down on any given day, and maybe you’re one of those who knows every detail of
a story that’s carried on for weeks or months.

Think about it for a moment. All of this means that you need to continually learn about new things each and every day. So you’re learning by reading, watching, and remembering what you’ve just been exposed to.

Now let me ask you the question that could change everything for you, as it has for me. What if, instead of investing your time watching the news, reading the paper, or browsing news magazines, you took that hour or so each day and instead read a book, listened to a training session on audio CD, or watched a DVD of a speaker or teacher instead?

If you were to do these things, which really is only a small shift in a habit you’ve build up over the years, it would not take you long at all to become a master (yes, a MASTER) at whatever you decided to learn about.

This simple strategy has been the single, most effective tool I’ve ever used in building my own career.

If I do watch or read the news, I limit my time to under 10 minutes, then I take the rest of the time to watch, listen, or read something that will help me become a better person
in some way.

And, by the way, I certainly do NOT limit myself to just business and marketing topics! I read a ton of stuff on Law of Attraction, health, psychology, self-help, video production, public relations, and the list goes on and on.

When people look at me and wonder why it is that I seem to know so much about so many different topics, I have to chuckle because all I’m really doing is investing the same hours you have too into learning things that matter over the long term (and that will affect my life) rather that on things that only matter for the moment (or that don’t really affect my life).

If I want to know about what happened in the past, I can pick up a history book and read about it. What’s most important to me is what is going to happen in the days, months, and years ahead. This is where I can make an impact and this is what drives my passion to learn.

This is why I’m writing this to you today. I’d like to help you break an old pattern that has really not served you and instead help you to create a new pattern that will serve you and reward you in many unimaginable ways in the days, months, and years ahead.

To do that, I’d like to encourage you to at very least consider adding some better influences in your life. You’re never going to get rich watching the news, but listening to powerful presentations by people who really do have your best interest at heart will make all the difference in your life.

So today, turn off the television. Make a decision that your mind is far too important to be influenced by people who’s only goal seems to be to make you feel bad about who you
are.

Instead, turn on the good stuff!

Listen to my weekly radioshow. This week, I’ll be sharing my strategies for building your business on Facebook. Tune in Wednesday at 7pm EST (4pm PST).

The vision of this show is simply to give you new ideas each week on how to be more effective in your business.

The show is now heard around the world, is syndicated on 35 web portals, is available on iTunes, and you can listen each week whenever you’d like, all at no cost to you.

So there’s one less hour you need to fill.

Next, have a look here:

http://www.ultimatewealthstore.com/products.htm

You’ll find a nice selection of programs you can listen to that will inspire you, motivate you, and educate you all at the same time!

While this is not all you can do, it’s a great start. Go ahead, give it a shot. Even if you do it for just one week, I assure you, your life will be better. Then, you’ll simply want to continue with this strategy as you create more and more success for yourself, regardless of what’s being reported in the news media!

Until next time..

Be outstanding!

Have you seen patient visits decline over the past 90 days? If you’re like many business owners, you’re feeling the pinch as consumers pull back and tighten up.

With job losses at all time highs, and no sign of anything happening in Washington having any effect on the economy, are you worried about your practice?

I’m going to let you in on a conversation I had earlier in the day about building a chiropractic practice in rough economic waters.

I have a belief about life that says that no matter what the issue, everything has two sides. There’s the positive side, and then there is the negative side.

At times, one or the other will demand more attention, but at all times, both sides are active.

Right now, it’s evident that economic bad news is the dominant story. Yet, there are many bright spots too.

In fact, right now, if you look, you can indeed find businesses that are growing.

Take Amazon.com for instance. They grew and had record sales over the holiday season, and they continue to see growth now.

Internet Retailer magazine today reported that the top 500 Internet retailers, including Amazon.com, posted an average 15.16% GAIN in sales in 2008 over 2007.

What does that mean for your practice?

Here’s my take on the issue. There are many things you could be doing right now to encourage your existing patients to come back for an office visit. The challenge for many Doctors is that they seem to be frozen as they get wrapped up in all the economic turmoil.

But, is there a positive side to all of this? I believe there is and I also believe you should be using it to BUILD your practice right now.

Here’s what I would do. First, I’d make a list of all the reasons why a patient can benefit from an office visit as they are going through
these rough times.

Think about how they may be feeling. Maybe they are feeling additional financial stress, fear, and maybe that’s having an impact on their health and well-being.

Think about all the dozens of things you can do for that patient to help them deal with the stress and fear and help assure they remain
healthy in dealing with it all.

You might write them a letter and explain that you understand that they may be feeling additional stress and that skipping getting preventative chiropractic adjustments is simply not something they should be doing right now.

I’d go on to explain to them how their body deals with stress and what that additional stress load can end up causing in terms of new health issues if it’s not managed now.

In a very friendly and non-threatening way, encourage your patients to put themselves first, to take the time to manage their health, and to make the small investment now to avoid much larger medical expenses later when things get worse.

This is a great time to let your patients know you care. They are hurting, they are worried, they are scared. As a leader, it’s your role to step up to the plate right now and lead them on the right path.

I truly believe that we will get past these rough times and the people who will ultimately lead us out of this mess are people like you and I.

We’re the true leaders in our society, and although we get little credit for our work, we know who we are, and that’s more than enough for most of us.

The people we love need us to stand tall and stand strong and help guide the way to recovery.

We can’t sit back and wait and hope it all just goes away on its own and everybody makes it through without harm.

Reach out to your patients right now. Let them know that you care and that you have the skills, the tools, and the desire to help them
make it through.

Your patients are indeed counting on you.

This question came from one of my Chiropractor clients: Question: “Robert, I’m having a hard time right now staying focused on my patient’s needs because of my own personal financial issues. Bill collectors, more patient cancellations, and less income for my practice, it’s hard to put it all out of my mind. How can I get past this so that I’m able to give my best to my patients?”

Answer: The first thing to realize is what you really do for your patients. Yes, you do treat their physical bodies, but the reason they come to you in the first place has more to do with emotion than with their physical health. The emotion they want to feel most is one of relief. They want you, the person they are turning to for help, to give them that relief. The best way to do that is to lead by example.

This is hard, even impossible, to do if you’re suffering from the stresses of your own financial worries.

More than ever, this is the time for leadership. My clients, and your patients are all asking for relief from what’s bringing them down, and they are turning to us as the leaders who can provide them with the relief they seek.

First, worrying about your personal financial situation will, of course, only make it worse. When you’re worried, your patients can feel it, and they will not get the relief they are seeking from you and, in time, they will stop coming back.

As a healer and a leader, getting yourself into a strong emotional state before you start seeing patients each day is vitally important for both you and your patients.

Put your focus on what you want, and find ways to relieve your own pressures so that when you are with your patients, they are getting the best of what you have to offer.

If you can’t find anything to look forward to, try just ignoring your own issues by focusing your love and attention on your patients.

This is a far better solution than being in the treatment room with thoughts of fear and panic running through your head and only half paying attention to your patients.

When your own energy is high, your patients will have a better experience and they will get the relief they seek from you. Even if you say not a word, your energy alone will be enough to help them feel better. This will make them want to come back again, and it will result in them telling their friends about you.

The real magic here has everything to do with how you show up for your patients. They are in pain, and if you’re also in pain, how much good can you really do for them? You know you can do better, and your patients deserve it.

People are cutting back. They are spending on things that are of immediate importance and putting off anything they can that is not important for them right now. Unfortunately, that includes a non-essential visit to the Chiropractor.

I’ve been speaking with several Chiropractors about this very real situation, which is causing some DC’s to struggle financially. I believe there are ways to mitigate the effects of a sluggish economy and actually encourage continued patient visits from those patients that might otherwise skip a few appointments while funds are tight.

The difficult part in getting patients back into the office is that many have been conditioned to see their Chiropractic care as vital and necessary only when they are in pain. As a general rule, patients still don’t see their Chiropractic care for what it really is: preventative.

The solutions to this problem are not immediate, but there are things you could initiate today that will result in increased patient return visits. To begin with, you must understand that your patients are typically not as well-versed in the real benefits of regular Chiropractic care as you’d hope they would be. In fact, as you probably know, they tend to schedule appoints only when they are in pain, hoping for a quick-fix solution to their in-the-moment struggle.

This is not their fault! This is what they have been led to believe over the years, and it’s an issue that YOU can overcome with your patients, starting right now.

First, you’ve got to be able to put yourself in your patient’s shoes. You’ve got to see life from their perspective. This is what I call “patient-centered marketing.”

What are they struggling with? Are there some seasonal issues that you know you can help them with that they may not even be aware of?

An example of this is the flu season. Many patients refuse to get flu shots, and tend to go through the flu season hoping they won’t get sick. What solutions can you provide for them to help them make it through the flu season without incident? Do you have a supplement regime to offer?

What you’re looking to do is put forth a message to help them solve a problem that may not yet be affecting them, but may soon be a an issue, by literally packaging what you offer as the solution they are seeking.

Getting your patients to come in more frequently is not rocket science, doesn’t have to be expensive, and can be done with a simple e-mail message, phone call, or mailed letter.

You know why your patients need to keep coming in for care, now all you’ve got to do is CONNECT with them by meeting them where they are and offering them solutions relative to the challenges they are currently facing.

If that sounds like a mouthful, it’s actually much easier than it sounds. Let me give you another example.

Let’s say it’s late in the year, and you know many of your patients will do things counter to what would be in their best interest health-wise. They will be at company parties, they will be eating foods that are rich in white refined sugar, and they will be consuming more alcohol than usual. You now have a fabulous opportunity to demonstrate why skipping a Chiropractic adjustment is simply not a good idea. Their bodies will need more support during these times of increased stress, and abuse.

So you let them know this, then give them YOUR solutions. Invite them to come into your office for a special “Holiday Tune-Up” or “Flu-Prevention visit.

What you’ve done with this approach, although it sounds incredibly simple, is powerfully connected with them right where they are, reminding them that what you do is so much more than simply fix back pain.

Over time, what you’ll have is a patient base that has a better understanding of what you have to offer, and a who will make better use of your services, in good times or bad.

Let your patients know that with increased financial stress, it’s their bodies that bear the brunt of that stress, and now is not the time to be skipping out on their favorite Chiropractor.

You can serve your patients greatly with this approach by both educating them about your true abilities and giving them the added support they need to make it through these tough times.
