Bite Marks (Jaz Parks #6) eBook by Rardin, Jennifer

Jaz Parks here. But I'm not alone. I'm hearing voices in my head - and they're not mine.

The problem, or maybe the solution, is work. And the job's a stinker this time -- killing the gnomes that are threatening to topple NASA's Australian-based space complex. Yeah, I know. Vayl and I should still be able to kick this one in our sleep. Except that Hell has thrown up a demon named Kyphas to knock us off track. And damn is she indestructible!

Dancing in My Nuddy-Pants eBook by Rennison, Louise
Customer Review: Dancing in my nuddy pants is yet another installment in the traumatic and hilarious life of Georgia Nicolson. Georgia is torn between choosing her Sex God (Robbie) and her Dumpee Dave the laugh. This book has it's hilarious moments but is serious sometimes when dealing with issue that actually relate to what teenage girls go through. It's a great a read and I would recomend it to any girl between the age of 13 and 16, though really it can be enjoyed by anyone they are more likely to relate to it.

Black Angels eBook by Brown, Linda Beatrice
The compelling story of three young orphans who must survive on their own during the Civil War.
It's near the end of the war, and rumors of emancipation are swirling. Eleven-year-old Luke decides to run away to freedom and join the Union Army. But he doesn't find the Yankee troops he was hoping for. Instead, he finds nine-year-old Daylily, lost in the woods after suffering an unspeakable tragedy. Her master set her free, but freedom so far has her scared and alone.
Also lost in the woods is seven-year-old Caswell, the son of a plantation owner. He was only trying to find his Mamadear after the Yankees burned their house with all their fine things. He wanted to be brave. But alone in the woods with two slave children, he quickly loses all his courage, and comes to greatly depend upon his new friends. In the chaos and violence that follows, the three unrelated children discover a bond in each other stronger than family.
A touching, beautifully written narrative, Black Angels is a riveting, special read.

Coraline eBook by Gaiman, Neil
Customer Review: I'm decided to purchase this book after watching the movie in 3D (twice), and was not disappointed. It's a fine example of why fans of novel-to-film adaptations should always go back to the source material to fully experience the world created by the author. The novel Coraline has all the spunk of the movie version, but more inquisitive, more alert. She's an explorer. And owing to some plot and character differences, when our heroine enters the Other World to meet the Belle Dame, she feels so much more alone. Chilling. Just the type of thing I would have loved to read when I was a tween. A must for all Gaiman followers and fans of the Henry Selick movie.

Brisingr eBook by Paolini, Christopher
Customer Review: Brisingr is the third in Christopher Paolini's sequence of fantasy novels. The first novel, "Eragon", was a triumph; the second, "Eldest", was a little uneven; but "Brisingr" has the author back on full form. The story is gripping, and Paolini's inventiveness superb.
Angela and the Baby Jesus eBook by McCourt, Frank
""When my mother Angela, was six years old, she felt sorry for the Baby Jesus in the Christmas crib...."" Frank McCourt's first Christmas book is by turns tender and heartwarming, and wholly unforgettable. Angela is six years old and worries for the Baby Jesus on the altar of St. Joseph's Church near School House Lane in Limerick, Ireland, where she lives. December nights are damp and cold, and the church is dark. The Baby Jesus' mother doesn't even have a blanket to cover him, The Baby is sure to need Angela's help, even if she is not allowed to step near the altar, especially by herself. Filled with the character and incident that have made Pulitzer Prize recipient Frank McCourt internationally renowned and beloved, Angela and the Baby Jesus is a timeless story of family -- and all of its joy, tradition, love, and incongruity -- and a book for the generations to cherish.

BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE (EBK) eBook by Klause, Annette Curtis
Vivian Gandillon relishes the change, the sweet, fierce ache that carries her from girl to wolf. At sixteen, she is beautiful and strong, and all the young wolves are on her tail. But Vivian still grieves for her dead father; her pack remains leaderless and in disarray, and she feels lost in the suburbs of Maryland. She longs for a normal life. But what is normal for a werewolf?

Then Vivian falls in love with a human, a meat-boy. Aiden is kind and gentle, a welcome relief from the squabbling pack. He's fascinated by magic, and Vivian longs to reveal herself to him. Surely he would understand her and delight in the wonder of her dual nature, not fear her as an ordinary human would.

Vivian's divided loyalties are strained further when a brutal murder threatens to expose the pack. Moving between two worlds, she does not seem to belong in either. What is she really--human or beast? Which tastes sweeter--blood or chocolate?

From the Paperback edition.

Beastly eBook by Flinn, Alex

A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright—a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.

You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever—ruined—unless I can break the spell.

Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.
