TWSSG Producer Kim Jong-hak killed himself

Top TV Producer Kills Himself

A leading TV producer responsible for some of the biggest hits of the Korean Wave was discovered dead on Tuesday in an apparent suicide. Police said that the body of Kim Jong-hak was found in a small rented room in a building in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province.

A suicide note and burned-out coal briquettes were found in the room. Kim’s family did not want an autopsy.

Kim began working as a producer for MBC in 1977 and rose to fame in 1991 by producing the 38-episode drama “Eyes of Dawn.” He became a freelance producer in 1992, and produced the mega-hit series “Sandglass” in 1995, which achieved phenomenal 64.5 percent viewership ratings for SBS, which was then a newcomer.

In 1998, he set up his own production company and produced a string of hits including “Full House” in 2004, “White Tower” and “Taewangsasingi (The Four Guardian Gods of the King)” in 2007 and “Beethoven Virus” in 2008.

But Kim sold the company in 2009, and a string of flops exacerbated his finances during the following years. The drama “Faith” he produced last year did not garner enough ratings, resulting in W640 million (US$1=W1,118) in unpaid fees for actors. Kim was also investigated by police over complaints filed by people who invested in his shows.

He was apparently devastated recently to find that a travel ban prevented him from going to China to produce a movie. He told his friends that his own life appeared to have become a soap opera.

Friends praised his eye for detail. “He was a true master of his craft who insisted on perfection, and this passion had run into a brick wall,” said Kim Seung-soo at the Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Bae Yong Jun was unexpectedly caught by reporters, who had been waiting for other stars, as he left the country through Incheon International Airport on April 9, and a Keyeast official was brought to clarify that he was traveling overseas on personal affairs.

The official said, “He is leaving the country due to a personal schedule that had been set for some time, but we were surprised when some reports said he was leaving secretly for some business-related issue. We believe they guessed so because his dining business in Hawaii previously made issues.”

Bae Yong Jun appeared at the airport in a dandy all-black style.

“I′ll make a return this year if there′s a good piece, so please wait for it,” he said.

Translation
You will never come back to me and you can’t do it,
please stop doing so, you comfort me like this..

If I can’t see you again, I really wanna forget..
all about you that hold me

Whenever I wanna laugh, you make me cry..
You keep me from doing even one thing as I want..
Whenever I miss you, I break down like this.
Even though I try to forget, I cannot do it..

*If I can’t see you again, I really wanna forget..
all about you that hold me

Whenever I wanna laugh, you make me cry..
You keep me from doing even one thing as I want..
Whenever I miss you, I break down like this.
Even though I try to forget, I cannot do it..
I didn’t realize loving one is so hard like this

* Whenever I wanna laugh, you make me cry..
You keep me from doing even one thing as I want..
Whenever I miss you, I break down like this.
Even though I try to forget, I cannot do it..

By the way, I want to share the news that I heard last day that the "Dream High" drama won the award "Best Foreign Soap Opera" in the 9th Annual USTv Students’ Choice Awards conducted in the Philippines last March 7. "Dream High" was aired on Philippine's local channel ABS-CBN sometime in 2012 and was dubbed in Philippine language, Tagalog.

The USTv Students’ Choice Awards is an annual awarding ceremony that recognizes excellence and Christian values in local television programs and personalities. Awards are based on students’ preferences survey that accounts for Catholic values.

BYJ sings ???

noreply@blogger.com (LENY) — Wed, 02 Jan 2013 07:27:00 +0000

Wow!!! My BYJ will debut as a singer in Animation Winter Sonata Memorial Album.

I can't believe it. I could still remember that I sugested to him through email to sing or make an album because for me he has a nice voice w/ sensual volume, just have a workshop (practice) to perfect it.
It was yr. 2008 when i sent than email together with my writings or poems, to make it as lyrics of songs they going to make (just need some modifications). Just don't know if he reads it or just put it in trust :(

But anyway, now he's singing. Oh my...I'm so excited. I can't wait to hear it.

Happy New Year !!!
