LOL...I am definitely running a little late this year with my Christmas cards lol...For this weeks TT challenge we are doing something a little different and inviting you to upload your holiday cards...

Not only is today Twisted Thursday at S2G but today is also the day I fly to New York City to compete in the Scotch 3M Most Gifted Wrapper Contest...I was chosen as 1 of 4 professionals to compete for the Grand Prize of $10,000!! Can you believe that!! The competition is this Friday at the Rockefeller Center...I will try and put some pics up on my blog of the contest...I am super excited and can't wait to meet the other contestants!!

For this weeks scetch I used a stamp that I absolutely love called "Penguin Sledding"...For this week's twist I couldn't find any tin or aluminum foil to use on my card (I still have a lot of my supplies in boxes from moving into my new house lol)...so I added some glass glitter to the snowflake...I know its not the same lol, but sometimes you have to improvise...I really hope that you all have some time to play along with us this week, I know that your holiday schedules are hectic!!...And don't forget about the BIG SALE going on over at S2G!! For todays card I used this cute image from S2G called "Hippo"...she is just so darn cute and fun to color...I used some clear glitter crystals to make her all sparkly and colored her in with copic markers...I just love adding lots of sparkle for Holiday cards!! The patterned paper I used is DIGI paper that you can download from the S2G website...DIGI paper is so easy to use and there are so many possibilities!! We wanted to let you know that as of January 1, 2010...'Shirleys2Girls Clear Stamps'...is changing things up a bit!

S2G are us!!...Deidre & Kristine! We create, package, invoice, & ship everything S2G...in other words do it ALL... and it's pretty much become everyday including weekends!

As most of you know...Kristine and I (Deidre) are sisters, who not only work together, but live together, with Kristine's husband... and our 89 year old father. Our original reason...for all living together started about 4 years ago, when Daddy had some pretty bad health issues and we needed to be available 24/7. Thankfully, his health has been pretty darn good for the past few years...but....he has been having a few issues and at his cardiology appointment 2 weeks ago, we got some... 'not-so-great' news. With his health and our full-time commitment to S2G...we have decided...something had to give. We want to spend more time with him, as we are not only his caregivers, but his only family...we are looking to the future, and family comes first.

That all being said...It is now time to make some changes to our everyday lives and to S2G. We LOVE LOVE LOVE the 'stamping' business, so the option of S2G closing up shop is...NOT an option. Last week we had one of our better "AHA" moments..."What if Shirleys2Girls went ALL Digital??" We would still be able to create new and whimsical ''digital stamps"...sell them on line...but have NO, packaging, shipping or invoicing. In the process, we would have more family time...AND...YOU...save..money, storage and time waiting for a stamp to arrive.

SO...That's it! Our new direction for 2010...Shirley's2Girls...is going...'SIMPLY DIGITAL'

For this week's TT challenge I used the adorable new stamp set called "Happy Fall"...Isn't this set just too cute!! I just love Shirley's 2 Girls Halloween stamps, they are so versatile...For this card, I used the ghost image from the Spookies collection and blew it up on my computer...It is so neat how you can manipulate digital images to accomodate different styles of cards!! I used my Drippey Goo punch again because I just can't get enough of it LOL to embellish the top portion of the card...I like the simplicity of this card and all the FABOOLOUS Halloween colors!! For this weeks TT challenge I used the adorable stamp called "Monster Mash" ...The possibilities with this stamp are endless...I really want to come up with an invitation using this stamp! I decided not to color in this image and to go with a monochromatic color scheme instead, to try something different...For the "twist" I used my Drippey Goo punch from Martha Stewart, I thought it would make a great Halloween embellishment!! If you don't have this punch yet, then you should definitely look into getting it, it is seriously one of my favorite punches!! Thanks for stopping by!!

If you made it here from Shelly's Blog then you are in the right place!! Did you remember to leave her some love?? For this Blog Hop I used the stamp called "Jinx Brew"...

When I first saw this stamp, I knew immediately that I wanted to make some some SPOOKtacular Halloween treats!! I colored in the image using various copic markers and added some texture using halloween colored stickers from Michaels...They fit perfectly over the witches brew bubbles!! I attached this image to a cello bag filled with Peanut M&M's...I sealed it up with some fun Halloween colored Raffia and added a scary bat image from the "Spookies" set available at S2G...When I saw that adorable Mummy stamp, I knew that I wanted to make a coffin treat box to match...I got the idea from Martha Stewart, she has the template and directions available for download on her website...And let me just tell you how easy it was to make...it seriously only took me a few minutes!! I added some twine to look extra scary along with the sentiment "Eat, drink and be scary", which is one of the 4 sentiments that comes with the "Jinx Brew" stamp set!

For this weeks Twisted Thursday challenge I used a super cute DIGI halloween stamp called "Spidy"...I didn't color him in or anything but I thought adding some googley eyes would make this card a little more fun lol...I really got into the Halloween spirit with this one!! I know that I didn't follow the sketch exactly but once I got started with this card, it kinda went in a different direction lol...For the twist, I punched out a scallop rectangle and mounted spidy to it...Isn't that sentiment just too cute, "Enjoy...the little things"...How true is that!! For today's challenge, I used a fun image called "Note of Thanks"...I just love the idea of sending a little thank you card with this stamp set...Sorry that the picture is a little hard to see, but my digital camera fell on my tile floor and cracked the lens (yikes!!)...I was definitely not happy about this lol and so I have been taking pictures with the camera on my Iphone...So the quality isn't as good, but I hope to get a new digital camera soon...I decided to use a pink and brown color scheme for this card (although the colors are hard to see) and used some DP that I picked up at a scrapbook store..For the "twist" I added some pink dew drops, I know it said to use brads, but I thought that the dew drops were much cuter on this card lol...I hope that everyone has a chance to play along with us this week, we have extended the deadline to increase participation, so get in your craft rooms and start creating!! Happy Thursday!! Today I made a bright and cheerful card using a fun new image called "Good Garden" available for download from Shirley's 2 Girls...I just love the sentiment that comes along with this image "A good garden always has weeds"...how true is that!! I colored in the image using various Copic markers and then added some little flowers to the vine. For the "Polka Dot" twist I used some black and white deisgner paper as the background...I just love they layout of this card and the twist!! I LOVE polka dots lol!! Hope that everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
