I’m planning on going to McMasters University in Hamilton for the life sciences program :) When I apply for it, what do they ask for? Do they ask you to send it in an email? :S All of your information…extra currivulars like sports teams? And how do they check that you were on a certain team, i.e. chess club if you weren’t? … I want to know the process.

The particular school will have their own online application form and you’ll just fill it out. There will be a space for all your contact information, your parents’ information, etc. It’ll have spaces for your classes, your grades, your SAT/ACT scores, etc., then another page will have spaces for your extracurricular activities, when you did them, how many hours you did for each one, etc. Basically it’s all on an application that’s on the school’s site that is well-explained when you get there. Most colleges do not and cannot check all of your activities which makes it prone to cheating, but most high schools will check what you put on your resume and what not, and academic dishonesty catches up with most people eventually.

well thousands of students with grades better than your wont get accepted to those schools so you have little chances but what these schools look at besides your grades is extra activites. They want you to do other stuff besides the regular ( regulars being chess clubs and stuff like that). They want to see leadership and skills in other things. You are in 7th grade and trust me its easier, unless your doing highschool classes when ur in 7th grade. I passed algebra in ur grade so u better be up there. You have a realistic chance of getting into that school 1 in 10,000 just because of the other thousands of students enrolling into those schools

How about volunteering? See if there are any animal shelters or wildlife rehabilitation centers nearby- you won’t want to quit because you’ll be helping animals.
