My most favourite dress pattern - Farbenmix Feliz.

Yes there are hours of work in these dresses, as the fabric was also dyed by me.

Cotton poplin for the dyed parts, denim of course and a sweet but simple rainbow embroidery.

They are a size 2, 4 and 6.

Every Feliz is different, whilst they can be all rainbow dyed, the nature of dyeing and the trims etc that I add make each dress an OOAK.

I hope to have more varieties of Feliz available in the future.

Wow 2014 and already nearly half way through the month.

Here at the Cherub camp we had a lovely break over Christmas and spent time with family.
Sweltered through some very hot days - ergo laid in the paddling pool.
Ate way too much chocolate and really good bread - baguettes on the rise as we speak.
Saw Frozen - yah nice and cool and a lovely story.
Visited the museum to see some new exhibit - GOMA is on the agenda for next week,
Indulged in Max Brenner ice cream,
Read lots of books and played board games.

But it's time to get back into the swing of things.

Things have changed in the cherub household and sewing time is much more limited than it has been previously so how I stock and when will change slightly.

I'll be stocking every month at Gossamer Dreams

Customs will be limited to wait list ladies - and I'll be starting the wait list again from the last lot on 1 February, I will be concentrating on one customer at a time, so you get your goodies in the normal speedy fashion, I really don't like making people wait once they have paid for their order.

If you'd like to join the wait list for 2014 - please email us at angel@cherubskiss.com - with Waitlist in the subject, you will receive an email reply to let you know we have your email details. There is no guarantee of time frame - though if you are expecting a new arrival or you have a special day coming up - please note that in the body and we'll see what we can do.

I will randomly stock as time allows.

Christmas Sewing for Mr Cherub

Well Mr Cherub works outside the home and his work gives him a Christmas Shirt, but well it's pretty plain, just red with Merry Christmas on it.

So apparently they can wear any Christmas Shirts that they like - and after I made Mr W Cherub a Ninja Santa one for his Christmas Concert, Mr Cherub wanted his own.

So far we have two.

First one is Zombie Santa

Thanks to Margo from Zebra Fabrics - for the awesome red stella. As you can see i had to do some creative sewing as I was short on the lovely green stella, hence the red band, but it fits pretty good now. This is a Jalie pattern. Thank you to the fabulous Chris from Baby Bullfrogs for the digitised wording!

And the second one though I made this one first, it was a bit big - so we had to run the sides in - but it's Ninjabread man - again words digitised by Chris.

How do I become a member?
This is a VIP Customer Club run via a Facebook group. This is a closed group.

How do I access this?
To access the VIP group, you must be a current customer (purchased in the last 2 months) and have a minimum lifetime spend of $400.

You need to email us to gain access to this group.

To remain a member, you must remain an active member. The group is culled every 3 months and to remain you must post to stay.

FAQS - Cherub's Kiss Loyalty Program

How does it work?
We (manually) keep track of your total orders, from July 1st, 2012, and when you have purchased $300 worth of our products (not counting postage) you get a 10% voucher for you to use. When you have purchased $600 you get another one, etc. You choose when you would like to use them.
How do I register?
Registration is not necessary. Everyone that buys from us from July 1st is enrolled in the program.
Can I earn a 2nd voucher if I haven't used the first?
Yes you can, though you can only use 1 voucher on any order.
Do orders through Gossamer Dreams, other online stores or real life markets count?
The short answer is, probably. Collaborations with other businesses won't count, but most other purchases should.
Can this be used in conjunction with other specials, say a Nappy Hunt discount?
Nice try, but no, this discount can not be used in conjunction with any other offer.

FAQS - Warranty.

What is your warranty?
Warranty on any Cherub's Kiss Nappies, regardless of type is strictly 3 months from date of purchase and only applies to the original purchaser.

If you have any queries or concerns regarding your nappy please contact us immediately so as not to exceed the warranty period.

If the fault is determined to be a manufacturing fault, we will cover postage from you to us and return. The nappy will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. If however, the fault is user error then postage costs will be covered by you along with any repair costs.

Please ensure you have followed our care instructions so as not to void the warranty. We are happy to replace elastic in nappies for the original purchaser, free of charge (you pay the postage both ways).

Second hand nappy elastics can be replaced for a minimum charge of $10 per nappy, plus postage.

FAQS - Postage.

How much is postage?
Postage will vary depending on the number of nappies you purchase. Up to 2 nappies for $7.50. 3 or more nappies are $11.55 (except in Queensland where it will be cheaper). We will always try to post in the most economical fashion, though all parcels are sent trackable with insurance.

We charge actual weight/cost plus a .30 package and handling fee which covers the cost of the bags, etc.

Postage is free for all orders over $200. This does not apply to combined purchases bought over several days.
Can I pick up my order?
No, I'm sorry pick up is no longer available. Our insurers no longer allow pickup.
What days do you post?
We post parcels Monday to Friday. If your payment comes through over the weekend, your order will be posted Monday.
How do I know if my order has been posted?
We update the account details as orders are paid and sent, so please log into account services to check.

You should also receive an email from us saying your nappy has been posted, however in times of high traffic, this may not always happen.
Combining Postage
If you would like to combine purchases please email Angel immediately on purchase. Combined invoices will only be sent if requested. Should you not wait for the amended invoice before making payment no combined postage amounts will apply.

FAQS - Payment.

How do I pay?
Payment is to be made within 24 hours of purchase. If you do not email through a copy of your payment receipt within 24 hours, your order will be cancelled.

Please ensure that you use your name as a reference.
Whilst we do understand that some banks do take longer to process payment. If you send through your receipt, you can be assured that your item will not be returned to stock for non-payment.

Should the transaction receipt not be emailed within 24 hours your order will be cancelled and the items returned to stock with no further communication. Any monies received after this time will be refunded minus a $2 restocking fee.

Please note that we prefer Direct Deposit for payment. All paypal orders, will only be registered post as required by paypal.

If your payment is not received in a timely fashion, your order will be cancelled and returned to stock.

Please note, should you cancel your item after purchase and payment, a restocking fee of $2 will be subtracted from your refund.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell to any party.
Do you Lay-by?
We do lay-by under the following conditions.

Please email to discuss your lay-by BEFORE purchasing.

We only work on one lay-by at a time, so if someone else already has one, you cannot have one.

Lay-by is only available for orders over $300. A deposit of 20% is required at the time of purchase and weekly payments are required.

No full customs will be entertained for a lay-by, so it must be made with fabrics that I have on hand. Dyed nappies can be requested, but these will be from stock dyes, and not made to order.

You are required to please email through a transaction receipt each time a payment is made.

Lay-by term is 8 weeks and failure to comply with these lay-by terms may result in the loss of your deposit and thelay-by being cancelled.

Your order will not be started until your last payment has been received and your lay-by is paid in full.
Non-payment
Consistent non-payers will have their orders automatically cancelled. Therefore, please make sure you pay as per our terms and conditions.

Can I get a full Custom Order?
We are currently closed to full custom orders.
How does a Semi-Custom Work?
Semi-customs - are just that, a custom to the degree that you can choose the size, the type etc. But limited to fabrics that I have available in stock. I do not send out photos of all my fabrics as I have a remarkably large stash, which changes constantly. I do not tend to buy large quantities of any print fabric. I like making limited run of nappies. Some fabrics have only been purchased in fat quarters.

We will always try to meet your needs, however we do reserve the right to refuse to do a semi-custom that we think are not in keeping with the Cherub's Kiss ideals.

You are more than welcome to provide your own fabric, but again we reserve the right not to use it, should when it arrive be unsuitable. If you provide your own fabric it must be prewashed and ready to use. Please note that no variation in price will occur should you provide your own fabric.

Semi-customs take a lot longer to discuss and organise and therefore price may be slightly above prices quoted for standard nappies.

When do you stock?
Stockings can happen in various ways.

Randomly - no prior advertisements of stockings. Random is just that.

Set - Set stockings - a time is advertised either via my newsletter or blog.
How does a stocking work?
Make sure you are logged into Congo Cart. If you have purchased from ANY Congo Cart your log in is exactly the same. Have the item you are wishing to purchase on your screen and refresh as required, until the item says Buy Now.

Please note our cart is set to first to check out. This means that the nappy is not yours until you have paid for it and someone else can buy it even though you have it in you cart.
Overselling
Should Congo Cart oversell, the item for sale, will go to the first order registered through the shopping cart. I am not always able to remake an item. I can if I choose, offer to make another item similar to that listed, but this is not guaranteed.

For facebook sales, they go to the first person that I can see that has commented.

Are your snaps hidden?
Snaps are now hidden on the majority of our nappies, with the exception of the Malden Mills Fleece Outer nappies. Please note our size snap is the last snap on the wing, and this one is not hidden.

Fleece nappies require a wider top-stitch to look aesthetically pleasing and this is unable to be done on hidden snap nappies.

However you will find that the shape of the shaped booster, helps prevent marks on bub's skin.

If you specifically require hidden snaps, please let us know, so we can let you know if the style you require has hidden snaps.

FAQS - Fabrics

What fabrics do you use?
Here at Cherub's Kiss we only use top quality fabrics. All our fabrics are pre-washed, with the exception of 100% synthetic materials. We are a smoke free home, however we do have kitties, please be aware of this when purchasing if you have cat allergies. Our fabrics are kept away from the kitties, but this is no guarantee of no kitty hair on your parcel.

Our bamboo fleece is beautiful. It consists of 70% bamboo/30% organic cotton. It is a natural unbleached colour and is professional laundered to prevent any shrinkage from occurring.

Our preferred supplier for our bamboo is Fairy Fabrics.

Maiden Mills fleece - we use only Windpro and 300wt DWR - This is the best quality fleece around. Known for it's breathable yet water resistant properties, there are several types of windpro available, but all have the same qualities.

Minky - We use quality minky from Shannons or Kaufmann branded minky.

PUL - We use fabrite 1ml PUL.

Flannel for concealed layers - double napped and white.

Microfleece - a variety of brands may be used including Maiden Mills and Baum. But be assured, all our microfleece is of consistent good quality and will look great wash after wash.

Cotton prints - generally all 100% cotton. They are cute, funky and adorable sometimes all at the same time.

Bamboo velour - beautifully soft and snuggly.

Cotton velours - again top quality poly/cotton mix for durability in a range of fabulous colours.

FAQS - Sizing.

What size do I need?
Sizing depends entirely on your bub's shape. Measurements are generally a much more accurate way of determining size than weight. And we recommend going with measurements before weight when choosing your size. If you have queries about what size to choose, please don't hesitate to contact us, so we can recommend the appropriate size.

Please note the fleece Auriels do fit longer than the Minky version, due the stretchiness of the fleece. Please also note additional snaps can be added to size 1 and 2 to fit sooner if you have a teeny waisted bubba. We do not change length of elastic, just add extra snaps for longer wear.
Auriel Sizing
Please note all measurements are taken UNSTRETCHED.

Size 0 - to fit 3.5 - 9 kg, Rise 37 cm, Thigh 19 - 27 cm, Waist 34 - 48 cm.

Size 1 - to fit - 4.5 - 10.5kg - Rise42cm, Thigh 22 - 28cm, Waist 38cm - 49cm.

Size 2 to fit 8.5 - 16.5 kg, rise 47 cm, Thigh 28 - 39 cm, Waist 44 - 57 cm.

Size 3 to fit from 11kg, rise 51cm, Thigh 29 - 37 cm, Waist 44 - 58 cm
HoneyBoy! Sizing
Again please go with measurements before weight. HoneyBoy! Nappies are very generous in their sizing. Most people will never need a large. Generally either a medium or medium/long will see your bub through to Toilet Training.

Newborn to fit - 2.7 - 5.5kg, Rise 33cm, Waist 27 - 35cm.

Small to fit - 3.6 - 7.2kg - Rise 37cm, Waist 30 - 38cm.

Medium to fit 6 - 11.5kg, Rise 46cm, Waist 41 - 53 cm.

Medium Long to fit 8 - 14kg - Rise 51cm, Waist 41 - 53cm.

Large to fit - 9 - 16kg, Rise 51cm, Waist 48 - 63cm.

X-Large to fit - 13.5kg plus, Rise 53cm - Waist 53-68cm.
Raphael Sizing
These are only sold in Newborn Size in a pack of 3. They are designed to fit 2.75 to 5.5kg but are mostly hand dyed velour so may stretch to fit your bub for longer.
