Calvin LeBrun, better known as DJ Mister Cee was arrested on Friday for allegedly trying to solicit a prostitute, that wasn't a female. Cee better known as a Hot 97 Dj, Big Daddy Kane's Dj as well as 1 of the Co Producers on Notorious BIG's 1994 Ready to Die,
already has had a stint with a situation like this. I got mad respect for Cee, he has done music with all of the greats. It's just 1 thing.. the same thing that bothers like me say about anyone rich enough to make it rain in a strip club... WHY WOULD U TAKE THE RISK ON THE STREET WHEN YOU CAN JUST HIT THE STRIP CLUB.? Ok I've had my rant.. not even going any further.. but I hope this isn't a career ender for Mister Cee... Time will tell.. Check out some of his cuts...

SpinMedia, a group of music and pop culture Web sites that includes Spin magazine, has bought Vibe, the 21-year-old R&B and hip-hop magazine.

SpinMedia announced the sale on Thursday, saying that it had bought the rights to Vibe's print magazine as well as to its related sites, Vibe.com and Vibevixen.com, from Vibe Media. The price was not disclosed.

The sale reunites the two publications, which more than a decade ago were part of the same company, Vibe/Spin Ventures, before each title went through a series of sales.

Usually, when a new company takes over they like to add their unique imprint. I think we could be see some changes to the Vibe Magazine once the new management is in place fully. Maybe they can improve upon the magazine. Hopefully, they will maintain the direction of the publication and just improve the quality of the articles and hopefully figure out away to sell the magazine without a gazillion ads. Time will tell. Do you think that Vibe will look differently as far as it's content and appearance?

Speaking of this, he said, "I think that anything goes in Hip Hop these days. I blame everybody who came before right now, including myself, for the conditions of what it is. I think the people that came before me taught me and if I couldn’t reach nobody else, then I didn’t do my job. I should’ve been a little better about the way that I laid my blueprint down. So I have nobody to blame but myself for the conditions of Hip Hop today."

Group argues weed is safer than booze

An advocacy group unveiled this billboard near Denver's Mile High stadium months before a ballot to legalize marijuana.

Denver (CNN) -- A Colorado advocacy group is spending thousands of dollars to convince people that smoking pot is safer than drinking alcohol.

It's an attempt by the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol to rally support for a vote in November that would legalize the drug for recreational use. Colorado legalized marijuana for medical use in 2000.

Last Friday, the group aired an advertisement on a local Denver channel during daytime programming encouraging people to "start your conversation about marijuana." The 30-second spot features a young woman typing a message to her mother on her laptop, explaining that after spending her college years drinking heavily, she now prefers marijuana because "it's less harmful ... I don't get hung-over and honestly I feel safer around marijuana users."

The marketing campaign aims to "break down the stereotype about who the typical marijuana user is," explained the campaign's co-director, Mason Tvert.

"Most of them are professional, hard-working people," he said.
