When thinking about our new website bios for work, we decided we needed to get our rears in gear to some music because we&#39;ve been listening to &quot;Your Love is my Drug&quot; and &quot;I Found Love in a Hopeless Place&quot; over 100 times... Music can always jump start a workout, but lately we have been slacking. &amp;nbsp;Cheryl has been super sick this past week, so we have been a little lazy, and even though I&#39;ve made efforts to go to the gym, I&#39;m not getting a full range of weights in. &amp;nbsp;Just some cardio and then I burn out... time to find some new workouts on Shape!&lt;br /&gt;

I&#39;m disappointed in the lack of green in my diet today, but hopefully tomorrow will be better. &amp;nbsp;I need to start fueling my body to receive the results I want and then get the energy I need! &lt;br /&gt;

Our goal is to lose 10lbs by December 7th- that is Cheryl&#39;s boyfriend&#39;s big holiday party. &amp;nbsp;My original goal was to feel better by my 23rd Birthday (actually to weight 124 on my 24th birthday but that&#39;s not looking like it will happen in 10 days) but I&#39;ve let it slide a little to become more realistic.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It&#39;s all about keeping with consistently but we are quickly learning that our willpower is short lived and needs to strengthen. &amp;nbsp;We aren&#39;t sure what we can do to strength our willpower to let us know if you have any ideas! &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
This morning workout was very tired... we did NOT want to get up. &amp;nbsp;But we did. &amp;nbsp;After a long cardio session, our quads, &amp;amp; shins are very sore. &amp;nbsp;We finished with some &quot;butt work&quot; doing 12 reps per set, and two sets of hydrants, squats, dumbbell lifts, and butt ups.... For whatever reason, we thought it would be smart to end with jumping jacks. &amp;nbsp;This was Cheryl&#39;s ideas... Our legs are killing us for those decisions now, but its nice to be sore again. &lt;br /&gt;
We also feel like we ate way too much Halloween candy... Bridget&#39;s &quot;dedication&quot; to only having one piece has not worked out too well. &amp;nbsp;Additionally, she ate a lot of cheese today.... way too much cheese.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We are not going to log what we ate today... not only have we not been keeping good track, but we also have forgotten. &amp;nbsp;We work long days and have been under some intense stress. &amp;nbsp;Working out really helps, but its in those moments of anxiety where our willpower is truly tested. &amp;nbsp;Hope we have a better tomorrow....&lt;br /&gt;

In the office alone, we probably have around 700 pieces floating around in a big fake halloween cauldrons. &amp;nbsp;And they just sit there. &amp;nbsp;Staring at us.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, needless to say, its a huge test of will power. &amp;nbsp;And I&#39;ve failed two days in a row (B.) &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Twix, Snickers, and Peanut M&amp;amp;Ms are the addictive sugar-drug of choice. &amp;nbsp;Cheryl is the fan of the chocolate... M&amp;amp;Ms and Milky Ways. &lt;br /&gt;

My goal tomorrow is to only have ONE candy. &amp;nbsp;That&#39;s right, &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;u&gt;one&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;. &amp;nbsp;Because saying none is obviously just setting myself up for failure so I need a more realistic goal. &amp;nbsp;And I will probably choose my one very carefully....&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Our gym sessions have been going okay, even though we are not working out together. &amp;nbsp;=( &amp;nbsp;It&#39;s out goal that this changes next week! &amp;nbsp;Even if we have to get up a little earlier, it will be worth it. &amp;nbsp;We do so much better when we are working out and sweating together, and holding one another accountable to our diet habits. &amp;nbsp;It will be back to HIITs soon!&lt;br /&gt;

Cheryl:&lt;br /&gt;
I&#39;m not going to lie. &amp;nbsp;I have lost my motivation and fallen into a slight slump... feeling like I want to eat everything in sight. &amp;nbsp;I can&#39;t let Winter be the demise of my body. &amp;nbsp;I love food. &amp;nbsp;Especially carbs... I like carbs a lot. &amp;nbsp;And I am getting really sick of spinach. &amp;nbsp;Fucking spinach. &amp;nbsp;I like chopped onions, but its not cutting it. &amp;nbsp;I&#39;m more excited about my spinach dip I&#39;m making next Thursday than going to the gym tomorrow. &amp;nbsp;Hopefully I can find something to make me want.... I can say our group workouts (working out at our employee place) have NOT motivated me. &amp;nbsp;So hopefully, with new workouts, I can find the light at the end of the tunnel. &lt;br /&gt;

It&#39;s been awhile since our last post bloggers, and we apologize.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Except that we&#39;re not sorry, because we&#39;ve been busy as f*#%. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Cheryl says it&#39;s been busy getting fat, and sadly, I have to agree with her. &amp;nbsp;I&#39;ve been on some pounds (about 10) since July, and Cheryl claims that she has gained back what she lost before our annual end-of-season recital in May. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But that&#39;s all going to change. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Cheryl turned 25 in September and I turn 24 in November, and we have vowed that this coming year will become the healthiest, most adventurous, and best so far, of our lives. &amp;nbsp;I mean, why not? &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So here we are, after a long day in the office and teaching.... Back at it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Current weight for us both is unknown because I need a battery for my scale, but we promise to give a starting point ASAP.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Cheryl- I had no nutritional value in my diet today. Zero. &amp;nbsp;My wrist has been hurting and I&#39;ve been unmotivated to work out at all.... we started a workout program through work, but I would rather do lighter weight than lots of heavy kettle bells. &amp;nbsp;It makes me compensate my form... On top of that, I&#39;ve had groin pain and am just not feeling it. &amp;nbsp;I just need to tell myself, I have done it twice, I can do it again.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Bridget- I am so sore today... I&#39;ve been working out pretty consistently for the last few weeks, but my eating is, as usual, out of control. &amp;nbsp;I have horrible will power and really need to work on it. &amp;nbsp;I&#39;m hoping that by blogging again, I can get a handle on my portions and properly start fueling my body... I&#39;ve made it a goal to do a figure competition at the age of 24, so I need to get cut! &amp;nbsp;Here&#39;s to a new start!!!&lt;br /&gt;

Bridget here... and I have a problem. &amp;nbsp;I have the absolute worst sweet-tooth ever. &amp;nbsp;And I can&#39;t say no. &amp;nbsp;It&#39;s a huge problem. &amp;nbsp;Cheryl just said, &quot;Stop that, I had some frosting too.&quot; &amp;nbsp;But mine goes beyond frosting.&lt;br /&gt;
I eat... and eat.... and eat... and I can&#39;t stop. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Its really a problem for me to stop and say NO, so I&#39;m really going to have to focus. &amp;nbsp;Does anyone have any tips or tricks for me to try? &amp;nbsp;Help a sister out.....&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Cheryl and I did an amazing Insanity workout today that just about killed my thighs... she did so much better than I did and I&#39;m so proud. &amp;nbsp;It&#39;s great to have a buddy sweating beside you! &amp;nbsp;She pushes me harder. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We are also talking about my overeating- I seriously have gone through an entire peanut butter jar and honey container IN LESS THAN A WEEK. &amp;nbsp;I have a problem; it&#39;s bad. &amp;nbsp;Portion control needs to be a priority for me, because otherwise, none of my healthy&amp;nbsp;habits&amp;nbsp;are going to work. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Today:&lt;br /&gt;
Egg whites with spinach and onions (probably about 7 tbs or so)&lt;br /&gt;
A banana with peanut butter (probably like 7 or so tbs) and some honey (hmmm maybe like 5 tbs? SEE, I have a problemmmm)&lt;br /&gt;
a Fiber bar&lt;br /&gt;
some more egg whites and spinach and onions&lt;br /&gt;
about 3 cups of coffee&lt;br /&gt;
frozen yogurt with chocolate chips, and reeses pieces! &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Cheryl:&lt;br /&gt;
a protein shake&lt;br /&gt;
turkey rollups and cheese&lt;br /&gt;
protein bar&lt;br /&gt;
two bananas (one with honey)&lt;br /&gt;
can of tuna&lt;br /&gt;
a boiled egg&lt;br /&gt;
protein bar&lt;br /&gt;
some baby carrots&lt;br /&gt;
a few bites of sweet potatoes. &lt;br /&gt;

Cheryl is so&amp;nbsp;supportive&amp;nbsp;of our weight loss and healthy goals- she really keeps me in check, but I&#39;m having a hard time being well balanced. &amp;nbsp;I think with more focus and some dedication I can make this happen.&lt;br /&gt;

I have just realized my will power is not as strong as &amp;nbsp;thought it was. &amp;nbsp;I made cupcakes for my boyfriend on Sunday as a gift, and I knew going into Target and buying those cupcakes that it wouldn&#39;t end well :( ahhh the will power to say no to chocolate goodness. Nun the less Bridget and I had a cupcake, and then proceded to eat the M&amp;amp;Ms and frosting off of a few... whyyyyyyy.....&lt;div&gt;

Now the guilt is seeping in deeper and deeper and our workout this morning was too hard to get through. It really shows 4 weeks of clean eating, and when you royally mess up it really effects the way &amp;nbsp; you perform in the gym, and the way you feel about yourself during the day.... All we can do is keep focus and push harder through this week... but I can say now I DO NOT want to way in this week... ugh I don&#39;t think I could handle seeing the number jump back up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;

Today in the gym we did 20 minutes of hits( which I may say was so hard to get through) followed by 20 tricep dips and then 10 with the right leg up and 10 with the left leg up.... then we did bicep curls into over head press, twists with the pulley system ( not sure what its called) as many pushups as we could get through... then back to cardio 100 jumping jacks 20 high knees 20 butt kicks and 20 mummy kicks... then we did abs 1:30 of regular plank... russian twists with 20 pound weight feet on and off the floor..... reverse cruches... in and outs and 1:00 of weighted plank... SO hard today!&lt;/div&gt;

Usually, we plan on doing a day in the gym then a day doing Insanity, but today decided to go with Insanity and it totally kicked our butts! &amp;nbsp;Pure Cardio is no joke... we were both dripping sweat and had to keep encouraging one another to keep at it, but we survived! =) &amp;nbsp;Instead of heading straight to breakfast we took some time to go to Walmart and restock the fridge. &amp;nbsp;After picking up some greens and cheeses for our wine night tomorrow with the girls, we came back home and started grilling up chicken! &lt;br /&gt;

Cheryl speaking! Let me start off by saying I woke up bright and early woke up Bridget ran into her bathroom jumped on the scale, and needless to say it said 2 pounds lighter... I am at a total of &amp;nbsp;a 8 pounds loss!! Wahhoooo.... since we had a snow day yesterday our Thursday was kind of thrown off. Had to go in work extra early and work extra late... so the gym did not happen for neither Bridget or I... BOOOO :( We both had a great day of healthy eating however...&lt;br /&gt;

Bridget feels nervous about her weigh in tomorrow, but I have faith in her and its all about changing our lifestyle and not what is&amp;nbsp;immediately&amp;nbsp;on the scale... results may not happen right away but the long term effects are what counts!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
We postponed our workout until we heard from the office and&amp;nbsp;ultimately&amp;nbsp;ended up working on the couch for a couple hours and keeping the TV on weather&#39;s &quot;Breaking News&quot; about the Thundersnow! &amp;nbsp;It was seriously intense, but we finally braved the ice and wind and made it to the gym.&lt;br /&gt;
We did our regular cardio, some arm work (triceps, free weights, etc.) another 10 minute round of cardio, and, of course, finished with abs. &amp;nbsp;We did a&amp;nbsp;marvelous&amp;nbsp;job, especially since we could take our time and really focus on form. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When we returned home, I was exhausted. &amp;nbsp;I&#39;ve been feeling under the weather and our workout took the mickey out of me, but Cheryl was fired up! &amp;nbsp;She made the MOST delicious lunch I have ever had (almost on par with the eggs she made last week.) &amp;nbsp;Grilled chicken, mushrooms, onions, spices... the works! &amp;nbsp;I could have eaten it all day, but thankfully she only made enough for two. &lt;br /&gt;

I think we did a pretty good job today! &amp;nbsp;But Cheryl is, yet again, anxious about her workout. &amp;nbsp;I try to remind her that while we&#39;re not eating pure vegan or all veggie, we are on the right track! &amp;nbsp;It&#39;s not like we sat around, watching the snow and eating ice-cream. &amp;nbsp;Each step is one in the right direction! &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here&#39;s to another great day (maybe a snow day?!) tomorrow! &amp;nbsp;And remember, nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
And maybe even my workout! &amp;nbsp;I had a busy day so I only got in 25 minutes of cardio this morning before I went to dance rehearsal and Cheryl headed to work. &amp;nbsp;She was able to get in 25 minutes of&amp;nbsp;elliptical&amp;nbsp;and some jumping jacks, high knees, butt kicks, core work, and push-ups! &amp;nbsp;Check her out!&lt;br /&gt;

She also did an awesome job with her nutrition today. &amp;nbsp;=) &amp;nbsp; So proud of my roomie!&lt;br /&gt;

Today, therefore, was really focused with getting back on track. &amp;nbsp;We woke up to some Insanity and I felt like my legs were gonna fall off. &amp;nbsp;Even though Insanity gives you some great cardio levels, we still made sure we got our plank and some extra crunches in after the workout. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This week, I am really going to try to focus on portion control... Even though it matters WHAT you&#39;re putting into your body, I&#39;m also concerned with HOW MUCH I&#39;m putting in! &amp;nbsp;Here&#39;s to a better weigh in than I got on Saturday... we won&#39;t even comment about it. &amp;nbsp;(Because Cheryl is kicking my ass so far!)&lt;br /&gt;

Cheryl had a GREAT weigh in yesterday and I&#39;m hoping mine will be just as good tomorrow... but my hopes aren&#39;t too high. &amp;nbsp;After my setback yesterday with all that sugar, today has been HARD. &amp;nbsp;When that sugar and sweet is in my system, I just crave more! &amp;nbsp;It&#39;s going to be a challenge to completely cut it out of my diet, but I&#39;ll never know unless I try!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Our gym today was awesome! &amp;nbsp;We didn&#39;t do hits today for cardio, instead we worked resistance and incline on the elliptical and treadmill; 5 minute warm up, then various levels of incline, etc.&lt;br /&gt;
Then we did a quick 2 sets of weighted triceps, squats, back work, and push-ups, then it was back for a steady 10 minute cardio push! &amp;nbsp;But,&amp;nbsp;ironically&amp;nbsp; that was the hardest! &amp;nbsp;Our bodies are still adjusting between intense lifting and super tough cardio, but it&#39;s strengthening our hearts! &lt;br /&gt;
The rest of our workout was ALL ABS, we started with a 1:30 plank, moved into 25 regular crunches, 25 obliques (each side) crunches, 25 reverse crunches, 15 throwdowns with no partner/assistance, 25 bicycles, 25 in-outs, 25 russian twists with our feet on the floor, then 25 with our feet in the air! &amp;nbsp;Whew! &amp;nbsp;As if that wasn&#39;t enough... WE FINISHED WITH A PLANK AND A 10LB WEIGHT ON OUR BACK FOR A MINUTE.&lt;br /&gt;
Anyone who thinks their workout isn&#39;t hard enough needs to try that... My arms were SHAKING and Cheryl was dripping sweat on the floor like a champ! &lt;br /&gt;

It&#39;s a common phrase that I wish didn&#39;t dominate my day... but it did. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The gym this morning was KILLER and I almost didn&#39;t make it. &amp;nbsp;We did some absolutely intense arms; lots of reps. &amp;nbsp;Curls,&amp;nbsp;triceps&amp;nbsp;dips, chest presses, etc. &amp;nbsp;And we didn&#39;t go easy on the weight amount either. &amp;nbsp;By the second set, I could hardly make it through, which shows you how weak my upper body is! &lt;br /&gt;
Cheryl and I agreed that our gym yesterday probably made today a little harder, so we skipped our second set of cardio hits, and opted for ten minutes low impact cardio. &amp;nbsp;Not ideal, but something is better than nothing! &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Since we&#39;re both dancers, it&#39;s important for us not to go too hard so that we can still work with our kids in the evening. &amp;nbsp;But to keep our energy up, it&#39;s also important that we eat right! &lt;br /&gt;

My roommate, Cheryl, and I have been on a journey to start living a healthy lifestyle since we moved into our apartment in February. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We are beginning to find that the beginning few weeks are... REALLY hard to stay on track. &amp;nbsp;But nonetheless, we are starting to make progress.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tonight, we were talking about weekend setbacks-- we&#39;ll eat so well during the week, then screw it up over a meal or two... or a muffin... or a milkshake... or, in Bridget&#39;s case (MY case) excessive peanut butter eating (we&#39;re talking like, the entire jar guys.) &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So this is our way of being accountable; we are planning on texting each other daily what we are eating BEFORE we eat it, and posting daily what ended up going up in our body. &lt;br /&gt;
We&#39;re also being 100% honest-- if I eat the jar of peanut butter, I&#39;m going to admit it. &amp;nbsp;Because we&#39;re only cheating ourselves if we do... our partner is just here to remind us of that feeling &lt;i&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;right after&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/i&gt; I eat all the peanut butter and regret all my life choices. &amp;nbsp;Because THAT FEELING IS NOT WORTH IT.&lt;br /&gt;
