I got this mixer about 6 months ago. My friend and I do a weekly radio show on livevideo dot com every wednesday. We began by calling in on headsets with a mic, but I got this mixer and man is it great. I can have myself, and 3 other friends all on individual mics. I can control the volume and EQ for each mic, and mute them with one click. While thats all hooked up, I have a computer used soley as a music/sound effects machine. This mixer also has a total of 3 outs. So you can record on one out and still have 2 other usable outs. I did alot of research on mixers, and I’m 100% satisfied. I might suggest spending the extra money and buying the FX model. I didn’t think I would need it, but I wish I would have the option to add effects to the sound. Even without that options is still a 10 out of 10!

Premium fog juice Gallon

The gallon of fog juice arrived as pictured (red jug, labeled American DJ FOG) I mention this becuase I read in the past where someone ordered this product and some other fog juice product arrived. Shipping time was fair. I can’t complain as ensured my order was over the min. to get the FREE shipping. Took about 1 week to arrive. The product was a little expensive. I never purchased fog juice before, but the price seems to be in line with other products. I definitely reoommend using the ‘real’ stuff compared to many ‘home made’ receipes of fog juice I have read about that can be quite hazardous if the wrong ingredients are used. American DJ states they only use pharmacutical grade ingredients. Since this fog was used for children’s bible study, I wasn’t going to take any chances. Even though this is unscented, there is a slight odor of ’something’ in the air. I hate to say smoke because it’s not like smoke you would smell in a fire; probably comes from the heating of the fluid, but you know that something is in the air. .99 is a fair price, if you get the free shipping; otherwise I would suggest picking it up at Best Buy stores that carry it.

I have a large (15,000 cu ft/min) fogger and got tired of spending /gallon for American DJ fog juice, so I picked up a jug of a “bargain” brand fluid. Boy, what a mistake! It ruined the pump, and I had to put in a new one. Wow, what a hassle. But my fogger works fine again, and you can be sure I’ll only use ADJ fluid from now on. Some things are worth paying a little extra for, and this is one of them. If you have an ADJ fogger, remember you have been warned!

Unfortunately, none of the rope light manufacturers have agreed on a common connection size, so if you need an extra length of rope lights, you can’t mix it with another brand…the connectors won’t fasten. If you have a long run, be sure to order plenty from the same brand…and then some.

Ok now you see what I use it for, so let me just say that this board is the best bang for the buck you are going to get. The built in effects are actually pretty decent. Especially for a low rent home karaoke setup such as mine. The EQ’s are actually quite good and useful. The sliders have a nice feel akin to a mackie board. It has plenty of buses just in case you need them. The USB was a bit disappointing but I think I was expecting too much. The USB goes in the tape monitor loop and outputs the boards mix to your pc. Overall the interface was noiseless; but I had envisioned multi tracks out… OK that is not fair to ask of a sub 200 dollar 12 input mixer. I will tell you the mic preamps are spot on and that Every thing is good and quiet here. Good board for the price… You will not be disappointed.

My first mixer was (is) a fantastic Berhinger XENYX 802 mixer that still works great. I wanted a couple more preamped inputs, some built in effects and a USB connection, all of which were included on this model, so I was sold, naturally. I thought I was going to replace my audio interface with this bad boy! I was really excited to get this mixer for this price. And therein lies my rookie mistake. Well the USB is not an ON BOARD USB. It is a separate device. You have to plug it in using RCA cables from the mixer to the box (It’s called the Berhinger UCA200) then to your computer via USB.

This was very disappointing and inconvenient. I’m not even sure it’s a USB 2.0 (It doesn’t say anywhere!) as it is very slow on my computer anyway. Had I known that I would have second guessed this purchase. It’s just another box to create noise and take away power. I looked through the manual for some other options but it was useless. Half of the manual consisted of plugging the product I just bought which makes no sense to me.

As a live mixer it’s pretty damn good, and that’s its saving grace, which is why I gave it 3 stars. But for home recording, this USB thing is a big disappointment. Noisy and a bit confusing. The FX are OK. I thought all the room, hall and plated reverbs sounded terrible though. Everything else was pretty good. Had lots of fun with the Reverse and Ambience FX. The MUTE buttons were also the 3/4 BUS buttons (which they don’t call BUS but ‘ALT’) which was kind of confusing at first.

The outputs were great too. Two main XLR outputs and two 1/4″ ‘ALT’ outputs as well as two 1/4″ control room outs. Lots of possibilities. I salvaged this thing for myself but connecting the ctrl room outs to my audio interface. Oh well. Can’t win em all. Lesson learned.

No light show is complete without the 12″ mirror ball. Made with real smaller glass mirror tiles, this creates a dramatically increased number of reflective tiles for a more dazzling effect.When used with our pin spot lights, this creates many more light spots moving around a room. The smaller tiles are also resistant to cracking.

We ordered this to be the centerpiece of our ‘house party’ after our wedding reception. I debated whether to order a bigger ball or to go with this size. For our large family room, this ended up being a perfect size. It was also the largest recommended size for the disco ball motor we ordered to ‘rotate’ the ball.

When it arrived, I was a little bit disappointed to see how large the pieces of mirror were – thinking that more mirrors would have meant more ‘dazzling’ light shows. But when the lights went down and we turned on the spotlights, this was more than adequate. I also was worried that perhaps a mirror piece or two might have fallen off in transit. But in the end those turned out to be extra pieces that must have been mistakenly attached, as we weren’t missing any on the ball itself.

Keep in mind that you will probably want something to rotate the ball – a disco ball motor – and something to shine on the ball. We used two Par 36 spotlights with two different color gel lenses.

The ‘disco’ in our family room was a huge hit at the house party with guests of all ages.

I really like this system. For 10 years I’ve used a Fender Acoustisonic Amp and have been very happy with that. My purchase of this system was based on the reliability and sound of my Acoustisonic. I wanted a PA so when friends come to play they don’t have to haul an amp with them. The Pro 500 is very easy to set up and dial in. My use would be limited to at home indoors, and outdoor parties. This may be overkill for my uses, but I really wanted the flash drive recorder. That alone makes the system very useful. My friend and I recorded 3 parts, then as fast as I could push a button we could play along with different instruments to what we just recorded. 8 Inch mirror ball system with pinbeam and motor

This was THE HIT of our Halloween party! We had been thinking it might be “kind of” fun to have a disco ball for the kids’ parties or get-togethers, and we finally decided to get one in case it rained on the night of our Halloween party and guests couldn’t get outside. We thought it MIGHT encourage more people to dance. WHO KNEW!?! Disco balls are like magnets, apparently. Our dining room/dance floor was full of adults AND kids, all playing with the sparkling lights on the floor and walls. My kids wanted to leave it up for days afterwards, and we ended up having (very silly) family “dance-offs” for a few nights before finally packing up the ball, light and filters. Barely a day has gone by that my kids haven’t asked to get it out again, and my 8 year old son is dying to get it back up for his upcoming birthday.

Specifics- it was ready to go right out of the packaging. We just hung it on an existing hook, set up the spot light, and it was ready to go! It comes with several different filters to go over the white light, and we spent a bit of time deciding which was “spookiest” for the Halloween party (blue, by the way). The quality is excellent for the price, though we did save all the original packing to store it in between uses because it probably would get banged up pretty easily if stored in anything else.

Big Disappointment – PJ Samith – Holtsville, NY United States
I bought two of these and had to return both of them. First, the pedestal on which you mount the mirror ball differed from the item pictured on this site and appeared to be of lower quality. The one I received was lightweight plastic and the one pictured here appears to be metal and smaller. The first time, just like another reviewer mentioned, the motor that slowly spins the mirror ball quit after running only a few minutes. I got the impression that since it is battery-powered it was simply not strong enough to keep turning under the weight of the mirror ball, which is quite heavy. So the motor seemed to be overtaxed and sluggish. It would cut out and then start up again after a rest, then cut out again. I tried 3 different batteries (it takes a large “D” battery) and it still would not work properly. I will say that the mirror ball and the pin spot appear to be of excellent quality, however.

With the second one the motor would not stop when the switch was turned to the “off” position. I didn’t even bother to mount the ball to see if it would keep turning without cutting out but my guess is it probably would have done the same thing as the first one.

The motor/pedestal does not come with instructions to show you how to correctly mount the ball or offer any care and cleaning recommendations. When I called the 800 support number for help, the young man who answered the phone was utterly clueless. I honestly felt I had reached the wrong number, the guy seemed so disoriented and had nothing to offer in the way of help, assurances, information, etc. Duhhhhhhh…….

Finally, I have to commend Amazon for their exceptional service in processing the return of both items. They actually make it a pleasure. I love Amazon.com!

Although the experience was a disappointing one, I guess it was a learning experience. The price tag did indeed seem low considering that you get a very fine looking mirror ball and what seems to be a rather heavy-duty plug-in pin spot with 4 color lenses (the pin spot does come with instructions, by the way.) If not for the lack of instructions for the pedestal and the lousy motor (manufactured in People’s Republic of China) this would have been a winner and I would have been happy paying twice the price.

1 gallon of bubble fluid make high-flying bubbles that are non-toxic.

After much research and hearing the not so bubbly reports about this product. I had decided to go ahead and purchase what the manufacture of the Bubble machine recommended. The bubbles where great. The solution does use up fast, but that is to be expected when you literally can have thousands of bubbles in the air at one time. My neighbors children loved it, my teenagers thought it was cool and my 3 year old grandson could not get enough of it. Would order again. Thinking about the black light or gold ones for summer parties. Bubble up!

I was disappointed not to find any reviews on these DMX light controllers when I was looking to buy one… so let me be the first to review this one in hopes of helping you make a decision.

First – I’m not a pro, this is just an expensive hobby for me. I have 6 intelligent DMX lights connected to my OBEY40 right now and the unit seems to be working perfectly. I can control up to twelve different lights (I only can afford 6) and the slide channels are smooth to operate. In fact, everything so far with the unit works just as it should.

NOTE: Do not even attempt to purchase a DMX controller unless you know how to use one, or are willing to spend a few hours reading the instructions. I watched a few uTube videos to get me started, then poured myself a beer and read all the manuals. Remember: you must have your manuals for each of your lights because they explain what each channel does on your DMX controller (You can probably download them if you’ve lost them).

I gave this unit 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish there were more led lights on the unit to show which scene you’re on. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost while switching around in your programs… but maybe I just need some more practice?

With those warnings being said, it is a MUST to have a DMX controller if you own these type of lights. You get so much more out of your lights, and have a way better chance of getting a freaky party going. Good Luck.

I bought three LED DMX Par 64 Cans and a DMX Dimmer for use in my music room. This allowed me plenty of channels to hook up all the lights (each Can on its own DMX channels) and create a bunch of scenes and a bunch of chases. It has a nice auto chase option as well as musical. I play more rock music so when set to music it changes rather rapidly… (too rapidly for my taste… it would be nice if you could tweak the changing during music mode regarding whether it should change scene on every musical change it notices… every other… every fourth, etc… so you could set the sensitivity… otherwise with a fast song it tends to be more of a strobe changing effect. This is minor though and I expected it to be somewhat of an issue that would make the sound activated mode unrealistic. It is a very durable unit and well worth the price I am more than happy with it. I was able to hook up all my DMX lights and still have plenty of room to grow in the future. Obviously, to run a professional setup for a band with more lights and syncronization requirements this would not be the right thing. But for the home person… the DJ… or the small club or small club band, this is plenty powerful enough for the task at hand!

The H1300 is a 1300 watt fog machine with a timed remote included.

Covers the entire neighbor hood with thick fog! We purchased two for our haunted house and were blown away at the power of these machines. We have over a dozen other fog machines purchased at stores like Spirit, Walmart, and Party City – but we decided to invest in two of these. What a difference! These two machines put out more fog than all the others combined. The fog was thicker and lasted longer. We got the effect we wanted and at a great price on Amazon!

Very well built unit, entirely metal. Feels solid. Remote is fairly long (only in rare cases would you need the optional wireless remote). I’ve only used this unit for a few weeks now, but I’ve ran it 8+ hours straight without issue. A little fog juice goes A LONG way.. even running this thing for almost 8 hrs I only used about 70% of the tank (and it was a fairly heavy fog). Timer setting is very easy to use and handy.

The Second Edition Scratch LIVE in Clear vinyl (CV02) is different from the first edition (CV01) in two ways. Firstly, the record was mastered on much better equipment than the original, and does not suffer from any noticeable pitch variation (0.0026% max). Secondly, the absolute positioning signal used in CV02 differs from CV01 enabling the software to distinguish which version of the vinyl is being used, and even which side is playing. The second edition is obvious from the red band on the upper right corner of the sleeve. The label on the vinyl, besides being marked CV02, has large A and B markings to easily tell between the 10:00 and 15:00 sides. Scratch LIVE software version 1.2 and higher is required to use the second edition vinyl. The CLEAR Vinyl disc is exactly the same as the standard black except that it’s color is red.

The H900 fog machine is a 650 watt fogger that comes with a manual remote.

I have had two WalMart fog machines. They both worked reasonably well, for the price, but neither machine lasted longer than two years. I used them at home, not commercially. I was tired of dealing with the WM machines and did research on machines built by companies that specailze in fog machines for commercial use. This one fit for me. It was priced just slightly higher than the retail store machines shipping was free! It arived in about a week and it kicks but in the fog department. Puts out plenty of fog, is very quiet and the fog juice tank even lights up. I used it a few times over the last few weeks and I really like it. I had no problem totally filling my whole living room up with fog so thick I literally could not see through it. Good customer support from Chauvet as I called with a few questions. So we will see how long this one lasts but if you want an economical fog machine at a reasonable price this is a good one to look into.

4-Channel DMX-512 LED Linear

Great light and doesn’t get hot like other lights. The directions are not very clear and it takes a little bit to understand the different modes. Very bright and compact. I will eventually buy another one and chain them together.

I liked it so much I bought another. The LED lights are awesome. They produce no heat, but create a great light show. These may too bright in certain settings, which is usually a directional problem. Two thumbs up!!
