... the sound quality on the Audacity stereo mix isn't as nice as with Total Recorder, and I don't know if trying to run UStream Producer caused issues (CPU on my desktop was consistently running around 90%).

But that's the overall quality, and it just made things sound a bit tinny. I can't do anything about your audio breaking up so much.
