On Monday, January 11, 2021, at 5:06PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to 842 Leona Ave. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Shaniqua Turner, 29, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 7 transported Turner to Grant Medical Center, in critical condition, where she was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 5:27PM. The investigation revealed that a friend of Turner’s had driven her to 842 Leona Ave. As Turner was walking to the front door 842 Leona Ave. an unknown person shot Turner multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.

On August 28, 2020, Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to 400 block of Eureka Ave. Upon arrival, they found the decedent, Mr. Geral Goslin III inside of the residence. He was in an advanced state of decomposition. The body was transported to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office where an autopsy was performed by a pathologist. The death has been ruled as a homicide.
