Bieber’s phone prank lands him in hot water again

Justin Bieber’s latest Twitter antics are causing him some legal trouble.

Bieber posted a random phone number — minus the final digit — and wrote: “Call me right now.”

Two Texas residents reportedly received more than 1,000 phone calls and are now suing the Canadian pop star for damages due to “reckless behaviour,” according to Hollyscoop.

What kind of damages are we talking about? Millions? No.

They’re reportedly after tickets to a Bieber concert, an apology and an endorsement of an online business run by one of the plaintiffs, among other things.

Lindsay Lohan facing another legal battle

With her probation set to end today, Lindsay Lohan is bracing as another legal battle heats up.

Thaer Kamal has reportedly handed over surveillance footage he claims shows the actress hitting him with her car and then driving away outside a Hollywood hookah lounge, according to Radar Online. And Kamal’s lawyers may be interested in more than just a hit-and-run investigation, as reports recently surfaced that Kamal has a history of insurance fraud, something he vehemently denies.

“Thaer feels that Lindsay’s camp has bullied him by making up stories that he was being investigated for insurance fraud,” a source says. “(His lawyers) will be investigating who made those false statements about Thaer being the focus of insurance fraud investigations and will take the appropriate legal action against those responsible for the false and defamatory comments if necessary.”

Dating Jennifer Aniston apparently has its perks, including lavish gifts.

The former Friends star has reportedly bought beau Justin Theroux around $500,000 worth of extravagant presents, including a $12,000 leather jacket that belonged to James Dean and a pair of high-end motorcycles, according to Grazia magazine.

“Neither Jen nor Justin seem embarrassed that she is the main breadwinner. She is in a comfortable position, so why not spend money on the man she loves,” a source says.

Of course, the showering with gifts isn’t a one-way street: “Justin loves buying Jen little gifts and going out of his way to show how much he cares,” the source adds. “This is not a one-sided relationship at all, and Jen feels she is the luckiest girl in the world.”

Jenna Talackova removed from beauty pageant for being transgender

Is the world ready for a transgender Miss Universe contestant?

The quick answer to this is: No.

The longer explanation has to do with beauty pageant contestant Jenna Talackova, 23, who made it to the finals in the Miss Vancouver pageant, but was ultimately ruled ineligible due to her being biologically male. The 6-foot-1-inch stunner did well -- and even made it to the finals -- but was disqualified after organizers learned she wasn't a naturally born female, according to CTV News.

"Jenna Talackova from Vancouver, British Columbia, will not compete in the 2012 Miss Universe Canada competition because she did not meet the requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry form," Miss Universe Canada organizers said in a statement. "We do, however, respect her goals, determination and wish her the best."

According to CTV News, Talackova started hormone therapy at 14 and had gender reassignment surgery at 19.

Talackova is claiming discrimination, which Miss Universe Canada national director Denis Davila refutes, telling CTV News, "There is no discrimination here at all. You can look at it the way she wants to look at it ... but we all have to follow the same rules."

Miss Universe Canada says that Talackova indicated on her registration form that she was born a female but later admitted that she was born a male.

Here's the thing: Whether you are applying for a job at Arby's or as a beauty pageant contestant in Canada, you can't lie on your application form.

I can see where this is tricky. Women already earn, on average, 23 percent less than men. Sadly, pageants are one constant where we can compete on a level playing field. A playing field where we compete in high heels and fake eyelashes, but a fair one nonetheless. Then again, she doesn't look like she had any less work done than the rest of Miss Universe contestants, so what's the big deal?

Del Rey’s new beau?

Rumors are swirling that new singing sensation Lana del Rey is dating Marilyn Manson, according to Hollyscoop. The pair first turned heads when they were spotted “sneaking into an elevator” in Berlin earlier this month, and since then they’ve reportedly been spending a lot of time together — like grabbing dinner before del Ray’s performance at the Echo Awards. After the show, del Rey and Manson left together in a van.

There are three things I will never understand in life: the world’s fascination with someone as boring as Kim Kardashian, people who don’t like books, and how Marilyn Manson gets women. Can someone explain this to me?

Jolie takes on leg haters

After her striking pose caused headlines at the Oscars, Angelina Jolie, whose right gam and odd gunslinger pose launched a meme, a Twitter feed and impersonators, now tells the Huffington Post: “I honestly didn’t pay attention to it. You know what I mean? I don’t watch those TV shows, and if I go online and see something about myself, I don’t click on it.

“And the people I surround myself with don’t really talk about this kind of stuff. I heard something, but I didn’t pay any attention. It’s as simple as being a woman picking a dress you like and having a night and not really thinking about anything else.”

Oh, come on Angie! Can’t you ever admit when you do something ridiculous?

Kardashian’s flour bomb

Last Thursday, someone threw a plastic bag of flour at Kim Kardashian on the red carpet, probably not the first time she’s been covered in white powder.

Afterwards, the reality TV star said she wouldn’t press charges but now tells E! News: “I said earlier no I wasn’t. (But) I am just going to think about it, because I don’t want someone to think they can really get away with that. I was laughing it off earlier and, you know, I think that is the only thing I knew how to do at the time.”

Lawrence on her favourite hunger buster

The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t go hungry, thanks in part to her friendship with Zoe Kravitz, daughter of co-star Lenny. The two met on the set of X-Men: First Class and hung out on the Games set.

“We just went to her dad’s hotel room and got Gummi Bears and HBO,” Lawrence told Us Weekly, adding that she loves Skittles candies. “We racked up so many charges. Mr. Kravitz was like, ‘Did you guys order a lot of room service?!’”

Club owner wants Drake to pay for pot bust

A rapper smoking weed? Not that surprising. A rapper smoking weed in Oklahoma City? Well, also not that surprising. What else is there to do in Oklahoma City?

Earlier this week, Drake -- the former child star turned lover boy -- was reportedly responsible for a huge cloud of pot smoke in a VIP area, which caused the Dollhouse Lounge to close down -- even though they opened for the night especially for him, according to TMZ. But here's where the story gets weird: The spot's manager claims that once he and the staff smelled the smoke, they shut the party down. Then the cops came (apparently to help "restore order") and they discovered a half-burnt joint where Drake and his entourage were previously hanging. So they arrested the club manager -- not Drake -- and now the he's mad and wants Drake to help him out with the various tickets, which amount to several thousands' worth.

A half-smoked joint found in an ashtray causes not only an arrest but also a lawsuit? "Crime" in Oklahoma City is adorable. What do managers expect when they rent out a club to a world-famous rapper and his entourage? A knitting circle?

Rimes may join The X Factor judges

Eddie Cibrian confirms that wife LeAnn Rimes has been in talks about joining the judge’s table on The X Factor, according to Extra.

“They’ve been talking. I have no idea what’s going on with that. I think they’ve been talking to a lot of people,” Cibrian says.

“I think she would be unbelievable on a show like that. As a mentor, which is key for that show, The X Factor, I think she has a lot of great input and actually could help these people out. Plus, she can sing.”

Kelly and Valderrama a hot new item?

Minka Kelly and Wilmer Valderrama have been turning heads with their public displays of affection, according to Us Weekly.

The rumoured couple popped up at Greystone Manor Supperclub in West Hollywood, where “they were kissing and grinding,” a source says.

“They were very flirty and dancing close. They even left with each other.”

They were also spotted at Disneyland last month and having dinner earlier this month.

So how serious are things getting between Valderrama and Kelly, who split with Yankees star Derek Jeter last year?

“I wouldn’t say they’re boyfriend and girlfriend,” a source says. “But he’s started ignoring calls from some of his other girls.”
