MY LIFE. MY STYLE. are proud to host “Brisbane’s Biggest Morning” Tea, our annual Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event.

For a fun day out with the family, join us for a cuppa and a cake while raising much needed funding for The Cancer Council QLD,

This year’s event will be held on Sunday, 26th May 2013.  Venue details will be confirmed soon.

Each year a group of dedicated Brisbane, small business owners
come together to assist in putting on this fabulous fun day
for the families of Brisbane to enjoy.
This year will be the third year MY LIFE. MY STYLE.
will be hosting this event on such a large scale.
Previously I, Caryn Gorrie owner of Doll Face Handbag Boutique,
hosted a smaller public event in my Paddington boutique.
Each year I enjoyed great success with this and my Girls Night In
events held in store and after closing the doors to the boutique in
2009, taking the business online, I quickly realised that it would be
a waste to not continue with these worth while events given the
on going support from my wonderful customers.

Year on year I have more amazing business owners contact me,
asking how they can get involved, as well as more loyal supporters
attending the events and this year is no different.

With my “World’s Longest Bra Chain” world record attempt
being judged this year the event is receiving more
recognition than ever before.

2013 will see some significant changes to what
has happened in the past. We will be moving to a larger,
indoor/covered area after the unfortunate weather we
suffered last year. However with this move we will be able to cater
for many more guests and small business supporters.

Bring your old bras and $1.00 for each bra, to assist us in breaking the world record of 170,000 bras. The $1.00 donation, for each bra, will go directly to The Cancer Council QLD.

Pamper Lane – Treat yourself to a relaxing massage or an indulgent manicure. Beauty, hair and make up make overs and demonstrations.

Working with families to create beautiful personal art for their home is so satisfying. Today I am packaging up some canvas collections from a recent session.

They look gorgeous, and I just can’t wait to see them hanging in their new home. This bits always a little tricky, but I hope I make it back to get some images of them in place to share with you.

Hello friends!

I hope this finds you all in good health and ready for the cooler months ahead.

Bring on the soups! I’ve made a stew this week because I’m feeling the chill. Brrr!

This email is really for all my pre-2010 couples and families.

So.

I am getting ready to move.

Which means I am clearing out my old filing cabinet.

Goodbye paper trail!

Hello electronic record keeping.

The cabinet is full to the brim!

And it would take me months to transfer all those shoots stored on disk to my new externals.

SO, I am sending you this to ask:

What shall I do with your photographs?

SALE

You may choose to purchase the digital image files.

This is a once only offer for shoots pre-2010.

Portrait collection – $350 each

Wedding collection – $450 each

If you would like to see them I am happy to email proof sheets of the complete session.

TRANSFER

If you do not wish to purchase the collection, however your heart aches at the thought of them being destroyed.

And you are likely to purchase products in the future. I am happy to roll them over into my new system.

(Note – image files will NOT be available for purchase in the future.

If they are transferred and uploaded into the new storage system they will be treated with the new business standards. You may order products off the current investment schedule)

The big “D” word.

The images will be deleted if you do not wish to purchase the files, you do not expect to order any of the images in the future (transfer request) or I cannot reach you.

The records will be permanently deleted.

I will contact families over the next couple of months on this. However it would be a MASSIVE help if you could reply to this message with your answer on what you would like me to do with your files.

Wow, what a ride those four years have been.

So what’s this post about? I want to share with you where I am at, what I have been doing.

Once the constant blogger, I let my blogging really slide and am excited to share – I am now ready to come back! To share more of my work and my personal life.

At one point I decided I should separate the two and have removed all my personal posts from this Celebrations blog, however I am going to have them reloaded. 

SO my friends, how have you all been!!??

And what have I been doing professionally, apart from being the teacher to one feisty four year old boy..

Here’s a cap:

• I’m nearing the end of a 12 month business coaching program with the E-Myth .
• Reached clarity on my primary aim in business, and in life.
• With this came a review of my whole business structure, my services,  the products I offer.
• Loads of teleseminar listening, E-Myth, photography, writing – education – education – education! (With a load of parenting education in there too! Eeek!! Haha)
• Oh so slowly working on my new business, www.thegradlab.com.au – new website to be loaded by the 26^th April. It HAS TO BE UP!!
• Currently I am preparing for an upcoming event where I will be presenting The Grad Lab to my target audience (Teenagers and their parents) for the fist time!! EXCITED!!
• I am also working on a photo-booth that Celebrations will have, for the first time ever too! At an upcoming charity event. The Biggest Morning Tea.

2013 is the year I plan to slowly rebuild, so I am ready to hit the ground running in 2014. Why? My little River will start pre-prep that year which means mama has her time back!!!!

I probably follow one to many fitness motivational people, but it really is a fun app.

My motivation is to take a photograph a day and print a book at the end of the year.
