This past month has been full of interesting developments in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s decade-long catastrophe. While they’re finally legally divorced, Brad’s lawsuit and Angelina’s countersuit – all over Chateau Miraval – continue to march towards a trial. Angelina’s children were not only victims of Brad and witnesses to what he did to Angelina on that plane in 2016, they’ve also been witnesses to what Brad has done to her since then. And it looks like ALL of those kids want nothing to do with Brad or his name. Brad didn’t even go to Knox’s high school graduation last weekend, and we’ve learned in the past week that both Maddox and Zahara have filed to legally change their names and drop “Pitt.” In Touch Weekly exclusively reported Zahara’s name-change application, but other outlets are now confirming the news. Brad’s team has dropped a quote into all of the new reports as well.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Zahara has officially filed to have “Pitt” removed from her last name. In documents obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, June 9, the 21-year-old filed a petition for a change of name in the Superior Court of California. In Touch was first to report the news.

PEOPLE reached out to reps for Jolie and Pitt.

Zahara’s filing dates back to April 28 and came just days after her brother, 24-year-old Maddox Jolie, also filed to legally remove his father’s last name following their parents’ split in 2016 after two years of marriage and over 10 years as a couple. Their divorce was finalized in December 2024. Jolie, 51, and Pitt, 62, share six children together: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, both 17.

The Spelman graduate is now the former couple’s third child to file to legally drop “Pitt” from their last name after Maddox and Shiloh.

“It’s sad to see someone repeatedly publicize their successful alienation of their children from the other parent,” says a source close to Pitt.

Poor, pitiful huffy Brad. And he’s dumb as a bag of hair too – this isn’t Angelina “repeatedly publicizing” anything. In 2024, Shiloh went out and hired a lawyer on her 18th birthday to change her name. Zahara and Maddox simply did the same, went out and hired lawyers and filed the documents. Name-change applications are public records, that’s how TMZ and In Touch Weekly and everybody else got these stories. Speaking of publicity, TMZ and Us Weekly got similarly huffy quotes from Brad’s team, like this one in Us: “It’s unfortunate when a parent deliberately alienates their children from the other.” I don’t know, I think it’s more unfortunate when a deadbeat father won’t even attend his kids’ graduations or congratulate them on their scholastic achievements.

Time Magazine has released their inaugural Most Influential People in Sports list, the Time100 Sports list of the 100 most influential people in the world of sports, from athletes to coaches to sports journalists to team owners to… Invictus Games founder Prince Harry. Seriously, Harry made the list!! The list also includes: LeBron James (he’s on the cover of the issue), Lionel Messi, Hilary Knight, Aryna Sabalenka, Steph Curry, Eileen Gu, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, Wemby, Rory, Ronaldo, Shams (lol) and many more. A few months after finishing his second combat tour in Afghanistan in 2013, Prince Harry lit the cauldron at the Warrior Games, a sports competition hosted by the U.S. Olympic Committee for wounded service members and veterans. He left the event in Colorado Springs inspired to build on the concept—adaptive sports for injured troops. “I thought, ‘Wow, look at the power of sport, look at how it is literally changing lives in front of my very eyes,’” Harry tells TIME. “It was so clear to me. Let’s invite as many countries as possible to make it international, because clearly more countries need to benefit from this.”

A little more than a year later, the opening ceremony of Harry’s inaugural Invictus Games took place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. (Invictus, a Latin word, means “unconquered.”) They hosted more than 400 military personnel and veterans from 13 nations, including Afghanistan, Germany, and New Zealand. There have since been six more editions of the Invictus Games, with the last one taking place in Vancouver and Whistler, in Canada, in 2025: those Games included winter sports, such as alpine skiing, snowboarding, and skeleton, for the first time.

“When you are wearing your nation’s flag on your arm, on your chest, once that’s removed, there’s something that’s missing,” says Harry, who served for a decade in the British Army. “What we’ve managed to achieve through Invictus over the years is not only to give people their purpose and their meaning back, but give them their identity back.”

The Invictus Games meld Harry’s passion for sports–he participated in rugby, soccer, cricket, and polo growing up–with his desire to give back to veterans. “Sport held me together,” he says. “I was one of those kids at school who did not enjoy classroom work. If it wasn’t for the sports field, and the amount of sports that were on offer, there’s no way I would have stayed in school.”

Harry hopes to keep growing the Invictus Games and perhaps make it a two-week event rather than one, to give more service members opportunities to compete. “One thing that we really celebrate at Invictus is not only do we change lives, but we save lives as well,” he says. “That’s not based on anything other than the amount of individuals that come up to me and say, ‘If it wasn’t for Invictus, I would have killed myself.’”

In July Harry is set to travel to the U.K. for celebrations anticipating next summer’s Invictus Games in Birmingham, which will welcome some 550 competitors from around 25 countries and include three new sports on the program: esports, laser run (which combines cross-country running with pistol shooting), and pickleball. “To be amongst that community, those are the moments that I cherish,” he says. “You wish that every society, every community, had this same vibe about it.”

Pickleball!! I didn’t know that was being added to the Birmingham games. Anyway, this is really nice and really important – it shows, once again, that one of the biggest parts of Harry’s legacy is his creation of Invictus, and that’s why there’s been a years-long hate campaign targeting the games. To this day, the most rancid royal reporters and biographers are still making up vile lies about the games and Harry’s involvement in them. Time Magazine – much like the ESPYs – is effectively doubling down and saying, no, Invictus is legit, this is important and good and Harry is a global leader in sports. You know who didn’t make the Time100 Sports list? A certain football patron who was too lazy to attend the Women’s World Cup, and is too lazy to attend this year’s World Cup (unless England makes it to the quarterfinals).

We’ll hopefully get more information soon because filming for Romy and Michele 2 has officially begun. Earlier this week, 20th Century Studios released a picture of Lisa and Mira on set with the caption ”The reunion you’ve been waiting for.” Here’s more from Entertainment Weekly:

Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are officially dancing together again.

Almost thirty years after they starred in the cult classic Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, the duo has reunited to start production on the long-awaited sequel, which will head straight to Hulu.

On Monday, 20th Century Studios shared the below first look at Kudrow and Sorvino back in costume, along with the caption, “The reunion you’ve been waiting for.”

Directed by Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and penned by original screenwriter Robin Schiff, the sequel will also return Janeane Garofalo, Camryn Manheim, Julia Campbell, and Alan Cumming. New cast additions include Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Huebel, Breckin Meyer, Patrick Warburton, and Nathan Lee Graham.

Released in 1997, High School Reunion followed best friends Romy (Sorvino) and Michele (Kudrow), whose lives haven’t exactly flourished in the 10 years since graduating high school. But the quirky pals decide to head back to Tucson, Ariz., for their reunion and invent fake careers to impress their former classmates.

The film earned solid reviews and $30 million at the box office, but its legacy only grew over time. “It was just so clever and witty,” Cumming told Entertainment Weekly last year. “It’s one of these films that some people are obsessed with.”

For years, there have been rumors of a Romy and Michele follow-up, and Cumming previously ripped the fact that a sequel still hadn’t come to fruition.

“I think the fact that there hasn’t been is a really big example of the misogyny of Hollywood,” he said. “If it was two men in that — you know, two men, successful film — we would’ve had six by now.”

Once the new film gained steam, Cumming teased what was to come.

“I think what’s great about the sequel to Romy and Michele is just going back to something that is so beloved and having a relationship with these characters,” he shared with EW. “I actually know what the story is, and it’s really good. So I’m excited.”

That picture made me so excited. Let’s goooo! I won’t even complain that it will be streaming-only and therefore I won’t have the chance to see it in theaters with my girlfriends. I totally would have dressed up a la Barbie. It’s interesting that so far, all of the new casting announcements have been men. The new roles haven’t been revealed yet, but I could see Breckin Meyer playing one of their love interests.

Since 2027 is the 30th anniversary of the first movie’s release, I wonder if they’ll joke about how much time has passed and have them attend their 40th reunion. Would that be too much? They could also go in a new direction entirely. Mira told Us Weekly that she and Lisa had a lot of input in the script. She also teased that the sequel would have another big dance scene. They’re both fantastic comedic actresses who know what they’re doing. I trust them both and hope their involvement means Romy and Michele 2 is just as delightfully quirky and quotable as its predecessor.

For 24 years, David Suchet played Hercule Poirot, the famous Belgian private detective created by Agatha Christie. I have no idea what kind of contract Suchet was locked into, but he absolutely defined the role of Poirot, to the point where I can’t even believe anyone would ever try to recast the role for a new generation. Just watch the old Suchet-as-Poirot shows! They were more like movies-of-the-week and many of them are very good. Well, Suchet hung up his fake mustache in 2013, and now the BBC believes that they can reimagine Poirot for a new generation. They’ve cast a 33-year-old to play “young Poirot” in a sort of origin-story series about Poirot coming to England after World War I.

When it comes to Agatha Christie, we can’t seem to get enough of adaptations of her work. Hercule Poirot is one of the world’s favorites when it comes to crime solvers, and Edward Bluemel has just made history, cast as the youngest ever to take on the role.

The BBC is tackling the new project, with BritBox bringing it to screens in North America. The UK network has shared that it plans to run for three seasons, with the first season slated for release in 2027, and there will be six episodes.

The iconic detective, who once described himself as “the greatest detective in the world” in the Christie novel The Mystery of the Blue Train, will get its youngest iteration, with the BBC making it clear that the younger generation is who to turn to for successful TV shows.

It makes sense to land on Bluemel, who initially gained a following on A Discovery of Witches. That following continued when he plays Sean, Emma Mackay’s Maeve’s brother, on Sex Education and then Guildford Dudley on the abruptly and unfairly canceled My Lady Jane.

It makes sense to have the 33-year-old in the role, as the new series will follow Poirot’s earlier years. The idea is that it will be “an intimate study of Hercule,” looking at the character’s growth between the wars. With the time period, it means we’re getting a look at the sleuth before he became the well-known detective everyone turned to for help with solving crimes.

This reminds me of my own hissy fit over the reimagining of Inspector Lynley for a new generation. I ended up watching the new series – which is just called Lynley and bears little resemblance to the books or the old series – and it’s fine. I would even call it “good” and “enjoyable.” So while I find this Young Poirot concept insufferable, they might pull it off. The old David Suchet-led series only really alluded to Poirot’s backstory, and we never really got to see his first years living in England.

One nice thing I’ll say – he does look a bit like Suchet, and I think he’ll be able to pull off the mustache.

Edward Bluemel is indeed #Hercule… He stars as Agatha Christie’s iconic Belgian detective in a new drama, following Hercule Poirot’s first cases in London before he becomes the world’s most famous sleuth.

One of Anna’s stops was Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast. Anna talked to Josh about her career as a comedic actress and how she felt that she and Regina Hall were “financially undervalued” by the studio. She also gave more details about a scary incident from Thanksgiving 2019 in which Anna, her husband Michael Barrett, and their extended family got carbon monoxide poisoning while staying in a rental house in Lake Tahoe. We’ve heard about this before, but I don’t think we’ve had details until now. According to Anna, she and Michael were passed out. It sounds like they almost died! Here’s what Anna told Josh:

There was a lawsuit. I can’t get too specific, but what I can say is that carbon monoxide is odorless. It is deadly. There were, like, 14 of us. We had rented a house in Lake Tahoe during the winter. We had all the heat going, and my dad wasn’t feeling great. We all weren’t feeling great, but we thought it was altitude sickness and being hung over. We just weren’t feeling great.

My dad was having some health issues. My mom said, “Why don’t you go to the hospital?” At the Lake Tahoe Emergency Room, they had the wisdom to check his carbon monoxide levels in his blood. Next thing you know, Michael and I were passed out and we were being shook awake by firefighters. I have this hazy memory of being told how lucky I was by a firefighter. It was awful.

There were 14 of us. My sister-in-law was pregnant, and there isn’t a lot of study on the long-term effects of carbon monoxide poisoning. When I brought up the heat, this was a house that hadn’t finished an inspection. So, we had all the windows closed. It was winter. We were feeling low, dull, constant headache, drowsy, sluggishness – the opposite of euphoria.

So audience, if you’re feeling if you have those symptoms, just don’t rule out carbon monoxide. We were all clocking it. We were like, “Are you feeling like sh-t or this feels awful?” We knew something was afoot, you know?

What a terrifying experience. Thank goodness Anna’s dad went to the ER or it could have ended much differently. According to initial reports, officials found that carbon monoxide (CO) levels at the rental home were more than six times what they should be. The details about Anna’s lawsuit aren’t public, but I wonder whether they had functioning CO detectors. (48 states, including California, require them for all homes.)

I really appreciate that Anna listed their symptoms as a PSA. According to the CDC, the most common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning are headaches, dizziness, feeling weak, upset stomach, vomiting, chest pain, and confusion. Because those are easily mistaken for the flu, the CDC also states, “Consider CO poisoning especially in these situations: No fever associated with symptoms, history of exposure, multiple patients with similar complaints.” They also recommend checking detector batteries twice a year, buying one that digitally displays CO levels, and having any gas, oil, or coal appliances serviced yearly. For peace of mind while traveling, you can also pick up a portable carbon monoxide detector. Consumer Reports has a detailed list of good and bad ones here.

On Friday, June 5, Marwell Wildlife, which owns Marwell Zoo, said in a Facebook post that there had been “several credible sightings” of the animal in the Bradbridge area of Hampshire in recent days. “More than 20 members of the Marwell team have been carrying out a coordinated ground search, alongside the deployment of additional camera traps in the area,” the facility wrote in the caption of a video update.

“While our thermal drones and camera trap network continue to play a vital role in the search for Samba, putting large numbers of people on the ground is only effective when we have specific, recent information about where she may be,” they continued.

The zoo added that the new sightings have helped to narrow the search area for the capybara as teams look “for footprints, droppings and any direct signs of Samba’s presence.”

“As the video shows, the vegetation in this area is extremely dense, making the search challenging even when we have a likely location,” Marwell Wildlife continued alongside footage of the search area.

Zoo officials went on to say that the search for Samba was ongoing and that her welfare was their top priority. “We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support and sightings reported by our local community, which remain invaluable to the search efforts,” the park added.

Marwell Wildlife first announced Samba’s disappearance in a Facebook post on March 19. “On Monday we welcomed two female capybaras, Samba and Tango, who arrived from Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park,” they wrote at the time. “On Tuesday they managed to get out of their temporary holding area and although Tango didn’t stray too far, and was able to be quickly retrieved, Samba was more adventurous.”

In the update on Friday, zoo officials asked people to take a photo and send it to 07436 116740 if they see Samba.

In terms of Samba’s current safety, Marwell Zoo says she “has access to food, water and will have no natural predators.” So Samba has the means to survive, but can she thrive on her own? That’s what has me worried, because capybara are known to be social, gregarious creatures. How will Samba gregariate on her own?? Plus, she’s separated from her sister — they started this journey together! Sure, Marwell claims Tango is enjoying the summer weather, “relaxing in the sun and napping in her hay.” But Tango is alone at the zoo now and that’s just no good, cause as we all know, it takes two to Tango! Yeah, so while I’ll always be saluting an independent animal taking charge of their own destiny, in this particular case my emotions are with the sister act, may they be reunited once again. The Princess of Wales wore this Roland Mouret dress to Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s D-Day wedding. Vogue claimed that the color was “blush pink,” a claim which is completely false. The Mouret dress is AT BEST a light beige. At worst, it’s more of a cream or off-white. So why does Kate keep wearing such light colors to other people’s weddings? Kate sort of got away with it in 2017, at her sister Pippa’s wedding. To be fair, Kate *actually* wore a dusty rose shade which didn’t read as white in photos whatsoever. Many women wore shades of pink to Pippa’s wedding, including Carole Middleton, who wore such a light shade of pink, it was actually sort of shady.

Then came Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding to then-Meghan Markle. Kate, just a few weeks postpartum, seemingly donned the off-white McQueen coatdress she had previously worn to Princess Charlotte’s christening. We were eventually told no, it was the same style of coatdress, but it was actually a different coat in “primrose yellow.” Over the years, we’ve heard different versions and I still don’t know. But I actually believe Kate wore off-white (and a yellow hat) to the Sussex wedding. So now we come back to Kate’s cream Mouret at Peter Phillips’ wedding. Certain outlets are calling her out, in a backhanded way.

At most weddings in the United Kingdom and the United States, wearing anything close to white is considered a faux pas unless explicitly requested by the couple getting married. Yet Catherine, Princess of Wales, wore an elegant cream-colored look to a wedding on Saturday with little fanfare.

​On June 6, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the wedding of Prince William’s first cousin. Peter Phillips, 48, is Queen Elizabeth II’s oldest grandson and the son of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips. On June 6, he married Harriet Sperling, 45, in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, England, according to the BBC.

For the event, Kate wore a vanilla-colored tweed dress with a matching hat and clutch. On her wrist was a subtle tribute to her beloved late mother-in-law: a bracelet from Princess Diana’s royal jewelry collection.

While a wedding guest wearing such a pale shade might be taboo under normal circumstances, the choice wasn’t a fashion blunder in this instance.

The nuptials are actually Phillips’ second, having previously been married to Canadian-born management consultant Autumn Kelly—with whom he shares two children—from 2008 to 2021. This element lessens the formality of the occasion. The late Queen Elizabeth II wore white to her son’s second wedding in 2005, when he married Camilla Parker Bowles, now Queen Camilla. Camilla, in fact, wore a nearly identical pale cream shade to Kate’s for the June 6 wedding.

“Actually, it’s okay to wear white to someone’s second wedding” is not a thing. Kate and Camilla are desperately trying to make it into a thing but it is not. It’s always rude. It’s always tacky. It’s always low-class and mean-spirited, which makes perfect sense for why Camilla and Kate do it. Every wedding-guest guide tells women to always err on the side of caution, which means… don’t wear anything white or white-adjacent. Don’t wear anything which would be photographed as too pale.

The Daily Mail also called out Kate in a not-so-subtle way. The headline: “Kate broke a big wedding guest outfit rule at Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s royal wedding – here’s how she got away with wearing cream, and the other style lessons from the big day.” They said Kate “surprised onlookers in a cream bouclé dress” and noted, “While this colour is often avoided by wedding guests because of its close resemblance to white, Kate’s impeccably polished look quickly won over royal fashion fans.” Sure, she wore cream to another woman’s wedding, but she wasn’t covered in buttons and hairpieces, so we’re calling this a win! As always, the bar is set in hell for Kate. Why does she keep doing this?

For much of the past year, there have been consistent rumors about the sorry state of Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s relationship. Back in 2023, Ariana and Ethan worked together on Wicked, and long story short, Ari and Ethan had an affair which caused both of them to divorce. Ariana was probably already on the outs with her husband Dalton Gomez, but Ethan left his wife and baby for Ari and it was messy AF. Ari had no choice but to try to put a bow on the affair and try to make it seem like she and Ethan were the real deal. The problem? Ariana basically loses interest in guys after about two years. Ethan was living on borrowed time. Now they’re officially done. People Magazine says they’ve been done for months.

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have called it quits. A source tells PEOPLE that the Wicked costars have ended their relationship after nearly three years of dating.

“It’s amicable, they gave lots of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways,” the source says. “They are still friends and very supportive of one another. They have been quietly broken up for several months.”

The insider adds that Grande, 32, is “doing great,” and has been focused on her Eternal Sunshine tour, which kicked off on June 6, and the upcoming release of her album Petal on July 31.

TMZ got the same basic statement about “the split is amicable” and they’re “supportive of one another.” TMZ’s source (Ari’s publicist) also insists that Ariana’s new album is not about Ethan or their split. Meanwhile, People Magazine’s source (still Ari’s publicist) makes it sound like the split was timed specifically around Ariana’s tour.

Several months after her split from Ethan Slater, Ariana Grande is “doing great” and remains focused on her flourishing career. Grande, 32, kicked off her Eternal Sunshine tour on June 6, and is scheduled to be on the road through early September. During that time, she’ll also release a new album, titled Petal, on July 31.

A source tells PEOPLE that the star is “incredibly focused on preparing for her tour.”

“She’s seemed very happy. It’s all been very positive vibes,” the source says. “Being able to reconnect with fans after so many years made her very excited.”

Grande last toured in 2019, and the insider notes that the “Supernatural” singer was “all about work” this spring to get her show in shape.

“She’s been wanting to give her fans an amazing show and has put so much work into the show,” the source adds. “Kicking off her tour was very emotional for her.”

The tour kick-off came just before a separate source confirmed to PEOPLE that Grande and Slater, 34, “quietly” ended their relationship a few months earlier after nearly three years of dating.

Sounds like the Year of the Fire Horse hit Ariana like a 18-wheeler truck. She decided she could not spend one more second with Spongebob, and she really had no interest in having Ethan hanging around during her tour. My theory? Ariana rarely leaves a relationship clean – there’s always something messy somewhere, and I would guess that she’s already got the new guy lined up. Ari isn’t picky – it could be a backup dancer or someone involved with her tour or someone she met recording her latest album. I’m just saying – don’t be surprised when she pops out with a new boyfriend (and don’t be surprised if the guy is married or just left a relationship, because that’s Ari’s type too).

Last year, Jeff Bezos finally bought the one thing he apparently wanted most of all: complete control of the James Bond franchise. While Bezos/Amazon had already bought *some* control over the James Bond property, because of the way Cubby Broccoli set the ownership stakes of the franchise decades ago, Bond was still basically controlled by Barbara Broccoli and her stepbrother. They hated the Amazon team and they wanted no part of any of it. So Bezos bought them out, reportedly for something like $1 billion. Two weeks ago, Amazon MGM Studios announced that they are moving forward with this new-era James Bond. The new film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve and Steven Knight as screenwriter. Meanwhile, they still have to cast their new James Bond, and no one knows which direction they will go – a younger, Gen Z 007? A Millennial Bond? Well, the gossips are still saying it’s probably going to be Jacob Elordi.

“Who will take it all?” That’s the title of a new 2 minute and 16 second film — err, Chanel ad — directed by Alfonso Cuarón and starring Jacob Elordi. But the question seemed more relevant to the casting of “Bond 26” than an elusive bottle of Bleu de Chanel, since the industry is fixated on who will land the coveted 007 role next.

Elordi has been in the Bond mix ever since Amazon announced that Denis Villeneuve would helm the franchise’s 26th film. Sources tell Page Six Hollywood that Amazon MGM wants a young actor for the part — ideally under 30 — so that the new star can carry the franchise over five films as Daniel Craig did from 2006 to 2021. (Elordi is 27.) The Bond actor must be British, we hear… or at least from a former colony, like Australia. (Elordi hails from Brisbane, mate.)

Villeneuve is said to be looking for a “fresh face.” That would seem to rule out another frontrunner, Tom Holland, who has already led three “Spider-Man” movies and appeared as the web-slinger in three more Marvel movies (“Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”) Holland is also attached to a Fred Astaire biopic to be produced by none other than “Bond 26” producer Amy Pascal, and he’ll next appear in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and Christopher Nolan‘s “The Odyssey.”

By contrast, Elordi’s roles have been edgier, including “Saltburn” and Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein.” He’s best known for playing the ill-fated alpha bad boy, Nate, on HBO’s “Euphoria.” (And it’s safe to say he won’t be reprising that role, given his character’s fate, if series creator Sam Levinson were ever to create a spinoff.)

I can’t take any report seriously if they’re talking about Tom Holland as a potential Bond. I like Tom Holland a lot. I respect him as an actor, but he is not and should never be in contention for 007. As for Jacob… yes, he’s Australian, but he’s actually really good at accent work and I would guess that he’s capable of doing a British accent throughout five 007 films. Now, I personally think he’s too young, even at 28 (Page Six got his age wrong) – as a character, James Bond is supposed to have a Naval Intelligence background, and I just don’t think any part of the character’s backstory makes Elordi a realistic choice. There’s a reason why they always hired actors in their 30s or 40s, you know? Because MI6 generally isn’t sending out 27-year-olds with a license to kill. But whatever. Elordi is tall, handsome and he looks good in a suit. He’s got a Roger Moore-esque blandness to him, so maybe.

Office Romance came out on Netflix a few days ago, and I watched it over the weekend. It was completely charming!! The script (cowritten by Brett Goldstein) was tight and hilarious. Jennifer Lopez and Brett had tons of chemistry, and Betty Gilpin pretty much stole the entire movie. Great extended cameos by Tony Hale and Bradley Whitford too!! I would absolutely recommend it and it really shows that there’s no age limit on romance or romantic comedy. That was actually my favorite part – both Brett and J.Lo were playing their ages and it completely worked.

Meanwhile, to promote Office Romance, Jennifer appeared for the first time on Subway Takes podcast. Host Kareen Rahma interviews celebrities on the subway, and the clips go viral often from these interviews. Well, some of Jennifer’s comments have gone viral, especially her answer about the criteria for calling yourself a New Yorker.

JLo is 10 toes down for New York City and wants everyone to know it. In a June 5 episode of the “Subway Takes” podcast, Jennifer Lopez, 56, explained how she determines whether someone is a real New Yorker.

“You have to be born in New York to be a New Yorker,” Lopez told host Kareem Rahma. “Yes! I know everybody wants to claim the city. Everybody wants to claim our city, but you have to be born in New York. You have to be born in one of the five boroughs to be a New Yorker,” she added.

A New York transplant, Rahma told Lopez that “everyone” said he could call himself a New Yorker after he lived in the city for 10 years, as the “Maid in Manhattan” star quipped, “said no New Yorker ever.”

Initially aghast by the take, Rahma posed a hypothetical for clarity, asking if a 90-year-old who had spent 50 years in New York had earned the right to call themselves a New Yorker.

“I have to say no,” Lopez said. “You take on characteristics probably by that time. You have a New York sensibility. You pay… You pay New York taxes.”

“When you’re born in New York is when you’re really a New Yorker,” Lopez added. “I’m glad this was my first take. Jenny from the block forever, baby.”

Yeah, I’ve also heard the “ten years to be a real New Yorker” expression, just as I’ve heard New Yorkers basically say what Jennifer says here – that you have to be born in one of the boroughs to call yourself a New Yorker. Does it really matter? Of course not. But it’s funny to see how many people are mad about what she said.

Prince Harry is due to visit the UK in about four weeks. He plans to visit Birmingham for the Invictus Games One Year To Go events, and I’m sure he has some charitable events on his agenda too. For months now, sources have said that Harry hopes to bring Meghan and the children to visit King Charles during this visit. Harry has maintained this for years – he wants his kids to spend time with their grandfather. The problem? Security, and the abundance of shenanigans and chicanery around the Sussexes’ protection in the UK. The British Home Office still has not confirmed whether the Sussexes would get armed police protection in the UK, and Buckingham Palace still has not confirmed whether Charles has actually invited his grandchildren over for a visit. Thus, we’re getting these treading-water stories in outlets like Page Six:

Prince Harry hopes to bring Meghan Markle and their children back to England within weeks — but there’s still no chance he will see his estranged brother, Prince William, sources told Page Six. Harry, 41, is set to arrive in July to promote his Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham next year — and he desperately wants to bring his family over to see his father, King Charles.

However, the prince’s security fight with his homeland’s government is still not fully resolved, we’re told, despite his hopes the UK Home Office would finally sign off on taxpayer-funded, armed security for his wife and children.

As multiple sources have told us, Harry is keen to reconcile with the royal family. He was still persona non grata, however, at his cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding to Harriet Sperling this past weekend. Harry was not invited to the celebration, we have confirmed, while William was joined by wife Kate Middleton and King Charles and Queen Camilla also attended, as did Princess Beatrice and a pregnant Princess Eugenie.

While Harry would love to bring Markle, 45, and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, back to his homeland, sources stressed that no firm plans have been made and matters are first focused on the Invictus event. Harry is set to attend a “one-year-to-go” countdown celebration for the games, scheduled for July 10–17, 2027.

There have been reports the prince does not have his brother’s phone number; however, we’re told this is “nonsense.” But he has not seen William since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. William, sources said, remains furious over Harry’s tell-all memoir, “Spare,” in which he slammed both his brother and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

In January, the Daily Mail cited government sources saying [Harry’s] security would be approved, adding, “It’s now a formality. Sources at the Home Office have indicated that security is nailed on for Harry.” But Harry and his lawyers have yet to have an update from the Home Office, sources confirmed. We have reached out to Sussex reps for comment. With or without his family, as of yet there is no agreed time for Harry to meet with his dad, we’re told.

From what we know about Harry’s operations these days, if he’s getting screwed over privately, he’ll probably tell us. Like, if the Home Office is playing games or Charles’ courtiers are playing fast and loose, Harry will likely release a statement or his spokesperson will go on the record, closer to the scheduled visit. It’s also clear that if the security situation is still unresolved in, say, late June, Harry will not bring Meghan or the children. Let me say this too – I think we can read certain things into the silence from Harry’s team. He hasn’t said anything, he hasn’t given another ballsy interview to the BBC where he calls out the establishment stitch-up. It’s possible that things are moving quietly behind-the-scenes. It’s also likely, given this P6 story, that Prince William and his staff are being kept in the dark about the arrangements. This doesn’t read like it’s from Harry’s camp, it reads like William is trying to figure out what’s happening because Harry and Charles have cut him out of their discussions.
