Gen and I worked like maniacs preparing for the Glitter Sisters Technique Class for next Friday. One of the technique, Craft Ink Smooshing, was very stimulating for me and when we finished the samples for the class, we were left with little bits and pieces. So I decided to do a card with them.</p><p><a href="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a65f57f2970b-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Jingle all the way" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f46178b88340120a65f57f2970b " src="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a65f57f2970b-500wi" /></a> </p><p /><p style="text-align: justify;">The card base is <strong>Taken With Teal CS</strong>. The little strip of glitter on the <strong>Old Olive CS </strong>(punched with the<strong> Scallop Edge punch</strong>)<strong> </strong>is what Gen and I called Glittered Craft Ink Smooshing. It's a fun background technique to do and I can't wait to share this with my Glitter Sisters. The bell on the stamped image (from the <strong>Christmas Classics stamp set</strong>) was first colored with a <strong>Blender Pen</strong> and then covered with <strong>2-way Glue Pen</strong> and <strong>Dazzling Diamond Glitter</strong>. The gorgeous <strong>Old Olive 3/8" Taffeta ribbon</strong> is from the Mistletoe Ribbon Originals in the Holiday Mini Catalogue.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Unusual colors for Christmas? Yes, but I like it!!!</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Have a fantastic weekend. <em>CeeCee</em></p> <p /></div>

It's OK, she doesn't read my blog.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">I really like this color combination for Christmas. It looks so... Rich.... Razzleberry (pardon my humour). I love it paired with Old Olive. Add glitter and you've got quite the Christmas feel.</p><p><a href="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a6afc281970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Cest pour toi joyeux noel" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f46178b88340120a6afc281970c " src="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a6afc281970c-500wi" /></a> </p><p style="text-align: justify;">The hard part with this card was to add the glitter on the background ornaments. I used the 2-way glue pen but the polka-dot one is a little bit "bumpy" for a lack of better words. So cute! We decided to use the <strong>Petal Party Simply Scrappin' kit</strong>. The embellishments and the papers are so fun. I can't wait to make more of these notebooks with the rest of the paper and stickers. That owl is the cutest thing.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Oh, and while I was in the shower Gen made these with the left over scraps of paper:</p><p><a href="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a6a6d90a970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Petal Party Notebooks tiny Cards" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f46178b88340120a6a6d90a970c " src="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a6a6d90a970c-500wi" /></a> </p><p><p style="text-align: justify;">They are tiny tiny cards and are perfect to give away with the notebooks! My first step was to find the notepads to put inside. And I was lucky to hit pay dirt at my local stationery supplies store. A pack of 10 5" X 8" notepads. I had them sliced in half so that made 20 pads for me to play with! Here's the view inside:</p><p><a href="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a6a3581e970c-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="I Love Lists open" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e54f46178b88340120a6a3581e970c " src="http://creationsceecee.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f46178b88340120a6a3581e970c-500wi" /></a> <br />  <br /><p style="text-align: justify;">Isn't that neat?! I can't wait to throw one in my purse. Once you have the notepads, the template is pretty easy to figure out: It's an 8 1/8" X 5 1/4" cardstock, scored at 2 9\16" X 2 11/16". The top was decorated with the Tailor-Made Simply Scrappin' Kit. All I added were a few buttons, my hand-dyed ribbon, one stamped title and the scalloped circle.<br /></p> </p><p style="text-align: justify;">OK, off I go to bed to dream of different schemes for these :-)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Have a blast today! <em>CeeCee</em></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Supplies (all Stampin' Up!) </span>-- <strong>stamp set:</strong> I Heart Lists; <strong>ink:</strong> chocolate chip; <strong>CS:</strong> sahara sand, not quite navy; <strong>SS kit:</strong> tailor-made; <strong>other:</strong> not quite navy and always artichoke buttons, hand-dyed whisper white ribbon, not quite navy reinker, rubbing alcohol, word window punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, linen thread, snail adhesive stampin' dimensionals, mini glue dots.</p><br /></div>
