BLOG: Overlooked portion of Scripture

In II Chronicles 7:14 Scriptures teaches a very great lesson. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Did you catch it? There is a hidden, no not really. There is an overlooked portion of that scripture. Let me explain. Follow me if you will.

"If MY people..." --That's God's people
"are called by MY name..."--That's God's name...again God's people
"Shall humble themselves..."--Hmmm God's people again
"and turn from their wicked ways;..." What? from "THEIR wicked ways"--God's people again.
"Then"

Did you catch it that time? This is verse is to and for God's people. It is not for a lost people, its not for the world, it is for the saved, those washed in the Blood of Christ. You see this verse contains a conditional promise. It is in four parts.
1. We must humble ourselve
2. We must pray
3. We must seek His face
& the most overlooked of these all...
4. WE must turn from OUR wicked Ways
THEN God will hear from heavem and forgive our sin and heal our land.

You see the promise is after ALL four of these conditions are met.
It is our sin, not the worlds that we must forsake.

BLOG: Excited about the Gospel

The Gospel message is still preached in the world today. Some places it has become second rate or forgotten altogether. However in this day & hour in which we live, the Gospel must be presented with both abundance and boldness.
No matter the laws and rights that are passed or scrutinized, the Gospel is STILL true. It is relevant today no matter where we find ourselves in as a national, church, home or individual.
The Apostle Paul wrote "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Let us reach and press ahead to that which is before us, with the Gospel so that the Jews, Gentiles, men, women, boys, girls, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, communist, and godless nations may hear the Word of God preached, and taught. It is our divine calling and commandment to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature" No matter what, color, creed, tongue, pedigree, affiliation, we must preach the Gospel.

So let's get up, get ready, let's go with the Gospel today!
