Vorige week ben ik een avondje bij mijn vriendin Diana geweest voor kleurtherapie.

Heerlijk om even lekker te kleuren!

Ik ben er niet zo goed in, maar met wat aanwijzingen van Diaan is het toch best aardig gelukt.

Ik heb weer gebruik gemaakt van de mooie My Mind's Eye designer pad papiertjes.

Dit heb ik gecombineerd met een taartpapiertje/doily.

Dit schijnt alweer een tijdje helemaal HOT te zijn, dus Caro moet er ook maar eens aan geloven.

Nu loop ik geregeld achter de feiten aan, want ik hou me niet zo bezig met allerhande trends, maar dit is toch wel erg leuk om een keertje te proberen.

Gezellig wat prima flowers erop en natuurlijk is het touwtje ook niet te vergeten (ook zo'n HOT item!).

Ondanks dat ik niet zo van de plaatjes ben vind ik 'm best leuk geworden.

En jullie?

*** Last week I had some coloring therapy over at my friend Diana's.

It felt real good to just color!

I am not particularly good at it, but with some instructions of Diana I did a pretty good job I guess.

I used the beautiful papers of My Mind's Eye designer pads.

How fun is it to combine this with a cake doily paper.

This seems to be quite HOT to use these days, so I had to try it too.

Mostly I am way behind with trends like this, because I'm really not that into trends, but this was fun to use.

Pimped the card with some prima flowers. They give the card ambience right away.

And last but not least don't forget to use a twine (another HOT item!).

Inspite of the fact I'm not that fond of using illustration stamps, I am quite happy with the result.

Gisteren zat ik heerlijk in ons tuintje, in het zonnetje vlinders zitten stansen.

Dit project had ik al langer op stapel staan en nu moest het er maar eens van komen.

Het was uiteindelijk nog best een klus.

Dit idee heb ik ooit ergens op internet gezien en ik vond het zo leuk!!

Helaas kan ik niet meer terugvinden van wie het originele idee is.

Diegene wil ik danken voor dit geweldige idee!

Het origineel was volgens mij alleen in een gewoon fotolijstje.

Ik heb zo'n 3-D fotolijstje van Ikea gebruikt (Ribba).

Zo'n schilderijtje daar wordt je gewoon vrolijk van toch?!

*** Yesterday I was cutting butterflies in the sunshine in our backyard.

I've had this project in mind for quite some time and it had to be done now.

It was more work than I thought.

I found this idea on the internet once and I loved it right away!!

Unfortunately I cannot find the link of the original, so I don't know who's idea this is.

I still want to thank that person for this wonderful idea!

I thought the original was made with a normal photoframe, but I used a 3-D photo frame of Ikea (Ribba).

Don't you get cheerful of this butterfly photo frame?!

Op moederdag toch nog een kaartje weten te fabrieken.

Voor de moeders onder ons; ik hoop dat jullie een leuke moederdag hebben gehad.

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt met de sketch van Cards & Things voor de challenge van deze week.

Nog net op de valreep, want dinsdag komt er weer een nieuwe uitdaging.

De zoete papiertjes van My Mind's Eye zijn zo lief!

Deze komen uit het blokje Blush van de Lost and Found serie.

De roosjes brachten me op het idee om deze te combineren met de baby blossoms van Stampin' Up!

Naar welke vriend(in) zal ik deze kaart eens sturen?

The sweet papers of My Mind's Eye are so cute!

These are 2 designs of the designer paper pad called Blush from the Lost and Found series.

The little roses reminded me of Stampin' Up!s baby blossoms, so I decided to combine this.

The sentiment says in Dutch:

when you cannot remember

A year in Cards APRIL

Ja, ja, de inhaalslag is begonnen! Hier zijn de kaartjes voor A year in Cards voor April.

Nu mei nog en dan ben ik weer bij.

Helaas heb ik tijdelijk een klein "technisch" probleem waardoor ik niet zo lang kan zitten, dus ik vrees met grote vrezen dat mijn project weer even de koelkast in moet.

Wel jammer, want ik was net zo lekker op dreef!

Deze keer heb ik 3 geprobeerd om 3 totaal verschillende vlinderkaarten te maken.

Hoe kan het ook anders he?! Zijn jullie de vlinders al zat?

Ze zijn zo heerlijk veelzijdig te gebruiken.

Ik moet ook hoognodig eens iets leuks voor mannenkaarten verzinnen.

Vlinders vind ik hiervoor dan weer niet zo geschikt.

Ideeen zijn welkom!

I have to do the cards for May soon and then I'm on schedule again.

Unfortunately I am having a little "technical" problem. I cannot sit very long at the moment.

So I am afraid my project is going to be parked in the fridge for a bit again.

Too bad, because I was just having so much fun!

This time I tried to make 3 totally different butterfly cards.

Yes, again butterflies! Or are you getting bored of these butterflies already?

I love using butterflies. They are so versatile usable.

Although they are not so suitable for men cards.

It's high time I figure out something to use on men cards.

Ideas are more then welcome!

Gio's juffie Judith was 5 mei jarig.

Voor haar heb ik een kleine tube bodylotion ingepakt, zodat Gio dat vandaag aan haar kan geven.

Dit moest natuurlijk wel in een leuk doosje.

Het patroon voor dit doosje vond ik {hier} op het blog van Julie Buhler (paperpleasing.typepad.com).

Om dit doosje te maken heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een off white A4tje (ong 200 grams papier), het tekstpapier komt uit het Basic Manila Paper Pack van Basic Grey, het onderste designpapier heb ik al eeuwen in de kast en ik zou echt niet meer weten van welk merk dat is. Waarschijnlijk My Mind's Eye.

Het designpapier op het klepje is een restje uit het blokje Be Amazing van My Mind's eye.

Ik gebruik graag de vlinders van Hero Arts op mijn projecten. Ook deze verpakking heb ik hiermee versierd.

Alle materialen komen zijn verkrijgbaar bij Scrap My Dream. Zo ook het kanten lintje.

Nu maar hopen dat Judith het een leuk cadeautje vindt. Wat denk jij?

*** Gio's day care centre teacher had her birthday on May 5th.

I wrapped her a little tube of bodylotion, so Gio could give her a gift today.

It had to be in a nice decorated box.

I found a pattern {here} on Julie Buhlers blog (paperpleasing.typepad.com).

To make this box I used an off white A4 paper (about 200 grams), sentiment paper of a Basic Manila Paper Pack by Basic Grey, the bottom design paper I've had lying around for ages. Don't know the brand of that one. Probably My Mind's eye.

The designpaper on the flap is a scrap from cards I made earlier and is from the designer paper pad Be Amazing by My Mind's eye.

I really like to use these Hero Arts butterflies on my projects. So I decorated this box with them as well.

All materials are available at Scrap My Dream. Including the broderie ribbon.

Let's hope Judith likes her present. What do you think?

Wishing you a happy birthday

In het kader van gebruik eens wat andere kleuren dan normaal heb ik deze keer een kaartje met oranje gemaakt. Kennelijk heeft Koninginnedag me geinspireerd.

Ook wil ik mijn stansen nog meer gaan gebruiken.

Op deze kaart heb ik de vlinder uitgestanst en wat ik normaal weg zou gooien gebruikt om een achtergrond mee te maken.

Deze achtergrond heb ik ietsiepietsie verhoogd met 3d plakkers, zodat er nog meer diepte ontstaat.

Nu was er nog een klein stukje op de rand uitgestansd van een ander vlinder op de stans.

Een embellishment opportunity!

Dit heb ik opgelost door er een klein vlindertje overheen te plakken.

Weer weinig gestempeld op deze kaart, maar wel optimaal gebruik gemaakt van mijn stansjes.

*** In the name of use some different colors for a change, I made an orange card this time.

I guess Queensday (when most Dutch people dress up in orange) inspired me.

Also I wanted to use my dies to the fullest.

The background I used is made of a piece I usually through in the bin.

Now I raised it on my card with dimentionals so depth is created.

A little piece was cut out on the edge, because another butterfly was in the way on this die.

An embellishment opportunity!

This is fixed by putting another little butterfly over it.

So little stamping on this card, but optimal use of my dies.

Op het blog Elke Kaart Een Feestje is er een sketch uitdaging met als thema sport.

Leuk! dacht ik, maar ik heb helemaal geen sportstempels.

Toen schoot me te binnen dat ik ooit deze skateboarder had aangeschaft voor jongenskaarten.

Komt dat nu toch even mooi van pas.

Dan kan ik die ook weer eens gebruiken.

Soms heb ik dingen in de kast liggen die ik helemaal vergeten was.

Hebben jullie dat nou ook?

Ben er erg blij mee, want ik heb er meteen nog een kaartje mee gemaakt.

Waar is dat mooie weer nu gebleven? Kan iemand even wat zon hierheen sturen?

Van de week zat ik nog zo heerlijk deze bloemetjes te kleuren in de tuin.

Ik bedacht me dat ik maar eens wat andere kaarten moest maken dan verjaardagskaarten, alhoewel deze daar volgens mij ook best voor door kunnen.

Deze keer even een ander tekstje.

Beterschapskaartjes zijn ook altijd handig om op voorraad te hebben.

Ik heb geprobeerd less is more toe te passen, maar het valt nog niet mee.

Dit tasje zag ik op het blog van Annemiek.

Zij had het weer gezien op het blog van Erna.

Erna had het op haar beurt van een Amerikaans blog geplukt.

Dit is mijn variant van het viavia tasje.

Het designpapier is van Stampin' Up! en heeft een grote aaibaarheidsfactor.

Ojee, ik loop echt danig achter met mijn year in cards project!

Dus hoogtijd om er iets aan te doen.

Deze zijn nog van de maand maart. Kun je nagaan.

Deze week ga ik nog aan de slag met april om toch nog een beetje in te lopen.

Je kunt de sketches van A year in Cards 2009 {hier} vinden op de site van twopeasinabucket.

Het leuke is dat de sketches al wat ouder zijn, maar eigenlijk toch nog heel goed toepasbaar met alle nieuwe producten die nu op de markt zijn.

Deze keer heb ik gebruik gemaakt van papier uit het blokje Be Amazing van My Mind's eye.

Ik geloof dat mijn scrapverleden een beetje naar boven is gekomen met dit blokje, want ik achteraf gezien heb ik bar weinig gestempeld.

Misschien toch weer heel anders dan je van me gewend bent.

I am planning to get ahead with the sketches of April later on this week, so I can catch up a little.

Dit is een snel kaartje dat ik vorige week heb gemaakt.

Ik wilde weleens een ander kleurtje gebruiken. Het is geel geworden.

Geel vind ik zelf een moeilijke kleur om te gebruiken.

Maar ik heb begrepen dat geel het helemaal gaat worden deze zomer.

Voor dit kaartje heb ik het gecombineerd met soft suede en wit.

En vinden jullie het wat?

It's hard to use yellow for me.

But I was informed yellow is going to be IT this summer.

Vierkante kaarten ketting

Op een yahoogroep deed ik mee aan een vierkante kaarten ketting.
Hierdoor kreeg ik een prachtige kaart van Anny Hendriks (de bovenste kaart).
Bedankt Anny voor dit juweeltje.
Hij staat hier op de kast te pronken en daarna gaat hij mijn showtafel in.

De onderste kaart heb ik gemaakt voor Heidi.
Ik wilde deze easelkaart al veel eerder maken, maar het kwam er nooit van.
Nu had ik de perfecte gelegenheid.
Ik hoop dat je 'm leuk vindt Heid!

Dit kaartje heb ik voor Ankie gemaakt. Zij was vorige week jarig.

Natuurlijk kon ik het niet laten om mijn nieuwe blokjes papier van MME te gebruiken.

Deze papiertjes komen uit het blokje Be Happy.

Ik ben begonnen om er een vrij eenvoudig scrapkaartje mee te maken.

De bijpassende buttons zijn hierbij zo handig!

Je hoeft zelf verder weinig toe te voegen. Het is op zichzelf al leuk genoeg!

Toen ik deze vuurtoren tegen kwam MOEST ik hem gewoon maken.

Je kunt er een klein cadeautje of chocolaatjes in doen.

En als je er zo'n nepwaxinelichtje in zet issie natuurlijk helemaal af!

Deze heb ik gemaakt met het prachtige papier van My Mind's Eye.

Dit papier is nu in de aanbieding zijn bij Scrap My Dream.

Op verzoek heb ik een doosje gemaakt met 5 kaartjes zonder tekst.

Wat een uitdaging was dat zeg.

Maar ik vind het toch wel aardig gelukt.

Ik wilde weer eens de Manhattan Rose embossing folder gebruiken, want dit doosje is om weg te geven aan een wat oudere dame.

Daarom wilde ik een beetje een chique wat nostalgische uitstraling voor dit kaartendoosje.

Hopelijk is me dat gelukt.

It was quite a challenge I might say.

But I must say I am pretty pleased with the result.

I wanted to use the Manhattan Rose embossing folder again, because this box is a give-a-way to an older lady.

That's why I wanted a chique nostalgic look for this box of cards.

Decorated paper bag

Een poosje geleden heb ik dit tasje gepimpt. Ben helemaal vergeten om het te bloggen. Een lekkere blonde Caro actie!

Eerst heb ik het tasje besprayed met Perfect pearls mists Heirloom gold. Erg leuk spul!

Je krijgt een soort goud glansje op je tasje.

Daarna heb ik een achtergrond gestempeld met de ornamentstempel uit de set Friends 24-7 (Stampin' Up!).

Dit is mijn favoriete stempel om achtergrondjes mee te maken.

Verder heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de stempelset Notably ornate (Stampin' Up!).

Het roomwitte papier heb ik besprayed met Perfect Pearls mists perfect pearl.

Om het geheel een beetje romantisch af te maken heb ik een kanten lintje om het hengsel gestrikt en heb ik er een lief klein labeltje aan gehangen met een touwtje.

First I sprayed the bag with Perfect Pearls Mists heirloom gold.

This creates a shiny golden shimmer on the bag.

Then I made a background with my favorite ornament stamp from the set Friends 24-7 (Stampin' Up!).

I also used the set Notably Ornate (Stampin' up!).

I sprayed the offwhite paper whit Perfect Pearls mists perfect pearl.

To give it a little romantic touch I placed a lacey ribbon around the handle with a sweet tiny label.

Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede (Stampin' Up), Versafine Onyx black

Baby blossoms

Nog een blauwe bloemen kaartje gecombineerd met wat bruintinten. Deze keer met miniroosjes.

Vorige week waren we met het designteam bijeen en toen zag ik deze super schattige roosjes kraaltjes in de winkel van Maaike (Scrap My Dream). Leuk om te verwerken in kettingen, maar ook op kaarten! Ze zijn in een paar kleuren verkrijgbaar. Ik heb wel bubbeltjes folie om de kaart gedaan met het opsturen. Het zou zonde zijn als de kraaltjes beschadigen.

Omdat de rooskraaltjes een platte onderkant hebben kun je ze heel goed met transparante Bizon Kit opplakken.

Ik gebruik trouwens tegenwoordig voor alles transparante Bizon Kit. Het dubbelzijdig plakband van de Action, wat ik voorheen altijd gebruikte, blijkt toch nog na verloop van tijd los te laten. Dat is toch jammer! Diana gaf me de tip van de Bizonkit en nu ik eraan gewend ben vind ik het helemaal top.

De tekststempel is van Inkerbell stamps. Ik vind 'm erg mooi. Voor meer Inkerbell stamps kun je {hier} terecht.

De kaart glimt als je er licht op laat schijnen. Dat komt door de Perfect Pearls Mists. Ik heb voor deze kaart Perfect Pearl en Heirloom Gold gebruikt.

Het kantenlint dat ik heb gebruikt komt ook van ScrapMyDream. Maaike verkoopt meerdere varianten broderie/kant. Echt de moeite waard om eens {hier} te kijken. De roosjes kun je {hier} vinden.

*** Another card with blue flowers combined with brown shades. This time I used baby blossoms.

Last week we had a designteam meeting and that's when I saw these cute little roses in Maaike's shop (Scrap My Dream). These beads are so cute to make jewelry, but also very useable on cards. Several colors are available. The roses have a flat bottom which is easy to glue on paper. I've used transparent Bizonkit.

Actually I use transparent Bizonkit for everything ever since my friend Diana gave me this tip. It's so easy to work with.

The sentiment stamp says (in Dutch): A friend is someone who shows you the way and walks along for a while. I enjoy our walks. Just love this sentiment. It's by Inkerbell stamps. You can find more Inkerbell stamps {here}.

My card shines when the light hits the card. That's because I used Perfect Pearls Mists perfect pearl and heirloom gold on it.

Een simpel blauw kaartje met bloemen voor een uitdaging op een yahoogroep.

Just a message about the disappearance of photo's

Enige tijd geleden werd ik er door Monique op geattendeerd, dat bij een aantal tutorials en andere posts de foto's weg zijn. Dat vond ik vreemd!
Maaaar, ik denk dat ik eindelijk weet wat er aan de hand is.
Voorheen heb ik vaak foto's geupload via Picasa.
En nu heb ik een tijd geleden mijn Picasa zitten schonen.
Je begrijpt het al.....de foto's heb ik uit Picasa gewist!
Lekkere blonde actie van Caro.
Dus....nu ga ik binnenkort even puzzelen en in ieder geval zorgen dat de tutorials weer in orde komen. Tenminste..als jullie daar nog behoefte aan hebben, want het is best een klus.
Dus laat even een berichtje achter als je mijn tutorials leuk vindt.

*** Some time ago Monique mentioned to me some of my tutorials and other blogposts don't have photo's anymore. Weird!
But I guess I know what's going on now. I uploaded my photos through Picasa for some time and I cleaned my Picasa collection about a half year ago.
You might understand the photo's I uploaded by Picasa are gone!
Blond action by Caro. So....I am going to puzzle soon and fix things.
At least for the tutorials if you're still interested in them.
It's quite a job, so it's nice to know if people do care.

Pimped lunchbag

Vorige week had ik snel een leuke verpakking nodig voor een cadeaubon van de plaatselijke danswinkel. Toen heb ik dit papieren lunch zakje een beetje opgepimpt met een leuk papiertje, een bordertje, een stempeltje, een labeltje en een vlindertje. Ziet er toch wel leuker uit dan zo'n heel wit zakje.
