Carlisle Varsity Girls not able to play the role of David in loss to Mohawks...

Carlisle was outsized by Madison High School yesterday losing 72-30 to the Mohawks. Madison is ranked 8th in State and starts 4 girls over 6 foot tall. Alexis Murphy scored 11 points in the losing effort. Carlisle will host West Carrolton on Tuesday. Carlisle falls to 10-3 overall and 5-3 in the SWBL Buckeye Division.

Carlisle finds dead end via Kenton...

The Carlisle Indians last night found out Kenton QB Mauk was as good as all the hype. Kenton raced out to a 16-0 lead in the blistering cold weather of the State Quarterfinal Game. The Indians had no answer for the aerial assault from Kenton. Carlisle after going perfect in the regular season was defeated 62-20. More details to follow.

Tommy Thacker returned opening kickoff for Indian touchdown! Indians 7-Northridge 0.

Carlisle QB Reynolds to Laughlin for Indians score! Carlisle 14-Northridge 0

Carlisle long pass from Reynolds to Josh Koogle for Indians touchdown with 4:47 left in 1st. Indians 21- Northridge 0

Kris Garrett 1-2 for extra points and the Indians converted 2 point conversion on 2nd score.

Another Carlisle score to close out last minute of 1st quarter, Garrett with missed XP. INDIANS 27-Northridge 0.

After a quick score and XP the Indians Alex Leach intercepted a Northridge pass and returned it to the Polar Bears 8 yard line. And Reynolds throws a pass to Adam Emrick for another Indian score with Garrett adding XP. INDIANS 41-NORTHRIDGE 0: 9:04 left in 2nd quarter.

At halftime tonight the Indians cruised to a 55-0 score over visiting Northridge Polar Bears. In the second half the Indians went to their bench and finished the game with the same score!

Carlisle at Waynesville...

Two plays and 47 seconds into game Zach Reynolds 55 yard pass to Jordan Jacobs for Indians touchdown! Kris Garrett with the extra point. Carlisle 7-0.

Waynesville smothered Carlisle for a late first quarter safety. End of 1st Carlisle 7, Waynesville 2.

With 9:52 left in the second Jordan Jacobs took the handoff 40 yards for an Indian score, Garrett added the extra point Indians 14, Spartans 2.

Waynesville will start 2nd quarter 2nd and 9 on their own 15.

5:43 left in second quarter Emrick up the middle for a 7 yard score. Garrett with extra point. Indians 21-Spartans 2.

Waynesville marched down the field and with 51 seconds left in 1st half scored on a 5 yard pass. Indians 21-Spartans 9.

Carlisle with 30 yard run and score with 1:38 left in 3rd. Garrett with extra point. Indians 28-Spartans 16.

In the 4th, Waynesville made things very, very interesting!! Waynesville's QB through a 59 yard dart for a touchdown. The 2 point conversion was successful. Indians 28, Spartans 24.

The 4th quarter was back and forth possessions to each team. Waynesville made a late drive to with 3 minutes left after Carlisle failed on 4th and 4 on the Spartans 16. Waynesville marched down to the Indians 4 but after two false start penalties they were forced to air it out with 6 seconds and was intercepted in the end zone to secure the 28-24 Indian victory!

Carlisle moves to 4-0 on the season! GO INDIANS!!

Carlisle at Oakwood update

End of first quarter Oakwood tied up the score 7-7. 9.29 minutes left in 2nd Carlisle Just scored making it 14-7 Indians!!

Halftime Indians 21 and Oakwood 7.

Carlisle rolls to 3-0 on the season by defeating Oakwood 41-7. Reynolds led the Indians with 4 touchdown passes.

Pee Wee Night at Carlisle vs. Brookville Game...(Results & Pics)...

Last night the Carlisle High School Varsity Football Indians took their 1-0 record to the field at home last night versus the Brookville Bluedevils.

Carlisle hosted their Pee Wee Football night showcasing the 1-6th grade pee wee football players and cheerleaders! Each player and cheerleader was announced before the game and was able to run up the sideline of the field. They then joined the band to build a tunnel for the Varsity team to run out through. All the little ones released red balloons across the sky as the Indians took the field!

The Indians dominated the Bluedevils by defeating them 35-7 for the victory. We will post statistics and video later this weekend!!

Carlisle Football handles Franklin...

In the season opener the Carlisle Indians took a small trip to across the river to Franklin. A crosstown showdown. Carlisle opened up the first half with two scoring drives giving them a 14-0 halftime lead. In the second half Carlisle's defense was relentless holding Franklin down and the offense scored two more times in the fourth quarter winning the game 28-0. We will have more pictures, video, and stats a bit later! GO INDIANS!

The Carlisle High School Football team will open their season tomorrow night at Franklin High School against the Wildcats! The game will be a "White Out" so be sure to come out and support the Indians in a white shirt! The Indians will look to make it two in a row after an exciting win last year against crosstown rival Franklin.

The Indians return 19 starters this season and have all components to repeat last year's success. And dare we say improve on it!! The Indians return Senior running back Nick McGill who had 1700 yards rushing last year. Jordan Jacobs and Michael Kruse will join him in the backfield to make one scary and dangerous three headed monster for teams to cover. Nick Reynolds will take over at Quarterback for the Indians. Reynolds, last year's wide receiver, takes over for former senior standout Jake Gibson.

The Indians also return 3 of the 5 Lineman spots from a year ago to protect Reynolds. Seniors Seth Everhart and Darren Dawes along with Junior returner Joe Downey will look to use their experience to bolster the running game.

This season will be an exciting season indeed for Carlisle Football fans. If this team can stay healthy and gel together the sky is the limit!!

The Carlisle Athletic Boosters would like to inform you about some upcoming events in the next few weeks, especially the “Spirit Chain for Charity” which is described below.

4-Spirit Chain For Charity
The Carlisle Athletic Boosters are joining together with Franklins Boosters, for a fundraiser to kick-off the first football game this season. At the Carlisle/Franklin game on Friday, August 27th.
The Spirit Chain Fundraiser will involve each school & their community to buy paper links for .25cents each to see which school wins by stretching them across the field at half time to see who’s is the longest. The winning school will get to display the “Chain for Charity” trophy in their school until next years game. There will be one winner from each school which will win $25.00.
Half of the proceeds from each school will be donated to the Franklin Food Pantry, the other half to each Booster Organization.

Carlisle Pitcher commits to Urbana University...

Like Jaeson Hudnall a few years back another Carlisle pitcher has made a commitment to take his baseball talents to Division 2 Urbana University. Jake Gibson has made a commitment to play for Urbana University next year. The 2010 Graduate was an excellent 7-3 this past season for the Carlisle Indians Varsity Baseball team. Gibson helped the Indians to the Division 3 Regional Semifinals. On the season Gibby had 70 strikeouts and a 2.65 ERA.

Carlisle High School Football program working hard this summer...

Hot summer days, hard work out sessions, and challenging tournaments have dictated the Carlisle High School Football program this summer. The Carlisle Indians are looking to repeat their success from a season ago and have been working hard to obtain higher and loftier goals.

The team has been participating in area 7 on 7 summer football tournaments across the area. The most recent was a tourney at Northmont High School. The tournament was made up of mainly Division 1 and 2 teams and our Carlisle Indians marched to the Championship game where they lost to out of state Richmond High School from Richmond, Indiana. The game was decided after an exciting triple overtime 2 point conversion stop by Richmond that stopped Carlisle's hopes for the win.

The Indians will play in their third 7 on 7 challenge at Miami University later this month. We will be covering the Indians off season efforts in the next few weeks with video, pictures, and stories! Stay tuned.

The Carlisle High Schol Football program are indeed selling their annual Indian Discount Cards this year. The cost of the card is $10. It has many local businesses offering discounts on food and more! You can find the cards just about anywhere. I have seen them For Sale at the Ponytail Concession stand and other local places. Also, they have been going door to door so maybe the card will just come to you. It is a great fundraiser with great savings! Pick yours up TODAY!!

KIDS: Pee Wee Football Mini Camp Begins...

This past Friday, the Carlisle Local Schools Pee Wee Football program kicked off their summer mini camps for the first time ever. Never before in the past has Carlisle ran mini camps for the little ones in the summer months leading up to the football season. After finding out that it was permissible to hold off season camps, Coach Reynolds has planned a weekly session for the 1st-6th grade teams. There was an astounding 89 kids out for the first camp. Each grade level had all their coaches out to help and assist for the two hour session. The players learned fundamentals and conditioning techniques during the 2 hours. The next scheduled mini camp is this coming Sunday, June 13 at the Pee Wee Football field from 6:00-8:00pm.

What: Basketball Camp for boys entering Grades 3^rd – 8^th

Where: Carlisle H.S. Gymnasium

When: June 14th – 16th / 9:00 am – 11:30 am

Cost: $25.00 per camper

The camp will be under the direction of the Carlisle boys’ basketball varsity coaching staff. The camp will include the teaching of basketball fundamentals, along with team play, games, and contests. The Carlisle Local School District Pee Wee Football program will begin there Pee Wee Football Mini Camps tomorrow night. The 1st-6th graders will meet on the Pee Wee Football field between 6-8pm. This will be a great opportunity for the younger players to learn the fundamentals of the game!

The Carlisle High School Baseball team took the field at Wright State University Nischwitz Stadium tonight against 22-6 Marion Pleasant team. The Indians were deadlocked through the first few innings before Pleasant got on the board 2-0 off an untimely Indian error to first. Jake Gibson started for the Indians from the mound and gave up 2 runs. Alex Leach relieved Gibby in the top of the fifth and Marion Pleasant bats came alive.

Carlisle threatened in the bottom of the 5th scoring 2. But Pleasant bats and some fine defense were way to much for the Indians tonight. The Indians used their full rotation of pitchers seeing Jake Gibson, Alex Leach, Zach Brown, and John Booth. They together gave up 10 hits for 11 Marion Pleasant runs. The Indians were defeated 11-2.

The Indians finish the season 22-7. This year's squad was a very young team that did more than could have been expected. Finishing the season with 20+ wins, 2nd in League, Sectional Champs, District Champs, and into the Regional Semi-Finals of the State tournament is a great season for the Indians. This squad only loses two seniors, Jake Gibson and Michael Pearson. Next year, will be something to look forward too.

Great year Indians!! Congratulations on a fine season. We look forward to good things next season.
