We have not been out much over the last couple weeks due to the weather, but when we do fishing has been good. Last Mondays 10hr trip saw a boat limit of seabass up to 4lbs. Ken also had his limit of flounder and one was the largest we have seen in quite a while. It tipped the scales at 10lbs 1ounce and measured 30inches. We should continue to see good fishing through the end of the year. Due to some issues on the dock prior to boarding, we will now be boarding by order of reservation for the rest of the fall trips. Last Saturdays private charter saw a boat limit of seabass up to 4.5lbs and bluefish. We are still seeing the occasional flounder and triggerfish. There appears to be a calm on Monday before some mid week wind. A 10hr trip has been added to this upcoming Monday November 9th sailing at 6am. Flounder fishing has been pretty consistent over the last month or so. Yesterday was probably one of our best days of the year. We saw over 100 keeper flounders. We have also had a few slow days recently when the current was running hard, or the wind is howling. Most days we are sending everyone home with dinner.  Seabass still have not made much of a showing. That should change as waters start to cool. Seabass season is closed from Sept 22nd -Oct 21st. We didnt get many days in this past week due to prolonged northeast winds that made for some nasty conditions. Once we finally got out on Saturday we saw a much improved sea bass bite along with a few nice size flounders. Some people had 10+ keeper seabass. The heaviest flounder weighed just a touch under 5 lbs. The next couple days look breezy, but the forecast from Wednesday through the weekend looks nice. We are sailing daily from 730am to about 2 230pm. We had some beautiful weather for the first weekend of our sea bass season. Fishing was decent on the 10hr trip on Friday, but it was a tough bite for the rest of the weekend. Some folks had close to their limit of seabass on Friday, along with a few nice codfish and even a couple short flounders. The largest sea bass of the weekend tipped the scales at 4lbs. Hopefully the sea bass fishing improves as the water warms. We are sailing daily from 730am to about 230pm. We got out a few days this past week. The seabass fishing continues to be very good. The throwback to keeper ratio on Thursdays trip wasn’t as good as we have seen, but we still had some limit catches. Fridays 10hr trip returned early with a boat limit of nice seabass, bluefish, and triggerfish. We have added a regular seabass trip for Tuesday 11/4 leaving at 730am.
