So did Santa give you everything on your Xmas list? As I mentioned in my Christmas post, I'm thankful for the health of my family, my health and the other wonderful blessings in my life but here are a few things I couldn't resist posting!!!

I hope you're enjoying your holidays! My mom, grandma and I are pretty thankful to have my brother this year, he was in a bad car accident on Monday evening. The car is totaled but he is doing okay (despite hurting his back.) We all know it could have been a lot worse.

I hope your holidays are full of love, happiness, peace, gratitude, laughter and possibly a cocktail or two ;)

BTW....this is my 200th post! Thank you!!!!!

Oh Christmas tree, oh how I miss thee

If you haven't heard, there's no tree this year. Monster puppy has broken TOOOO many things, and the only tree we have is a small fake one in the window with vintage ornaments (don't tell my mom, but he broke her train set that goes around the tree). It's not the same this year without the smell of fresh pine, or my cat, Olivia hiding under the tree. I guess I shouldn't complain, it's not everyday you get a puppy that loves you unconditionally and cries when you leave the room. Wait a second, I should be complaining...he may cry when I leave the room, but he steals my pants, put a hole in the posterior portion of my Juicy Couture velour pants, loves my bras (I guess he has a thing for padding), and feels the need to poop and pee in the house when it's too cold to go outside. Can you tell he's growing on me? ;)

PS This was our pretty tree last year.

A Girl Needs PEARLS!

I'm blessed to have been born in the month of June, not just because of the great weather, but because of my gorgeous birthstone, the pearl. As a kid (before I knew it was my birthstone) I looked forward to attending the California State Fair with my mom and grandma every year because I'd pick a live oyster, and get a new pearl. Oh how I wish I still had them!

Before the big unveiling of the new hair, I had to show off "Our Christmas card." Lucy was a little shy or possibly a little tired of being harassed by Monster all day, and wouldn't pose! Oh well. Did I mention I'm bummed we can't get a tree this year thanks to my brothers great idea to get a puppy? :(

How many of you are like me and hate washing your face before bed because more water ends up on your sleeves than on your face? I could write an 8 page essay on how much this irritates me, and I thought this was something I was always going to suffer and live with.

Over the summer while watching The Today Show on NBC, I noticed a contributor from a magazine showcasing her favorite beauty products, when I spotted one I had to have that would end my "I hate washing my face" days forever! Too bad the episode was deleted and I was never able to find the product. It didn't help that I had no idea what it was called, but I knew if I ever found it, it'd be an answer to my prayers.

Four months later I was asked to review ON THE CUFF, a product that could possibly end this very dilemma of mine. I thought if this works, I am going to share my glee with everyone in the world, as I am sure I'm not the only one with this major pet peeve. As soon as I received the product, I ripped open the package and put it to work; I washed my face while wearing the spongy cuffs, and my mom decided to wash the car with them. Let me tell you, I need to buy stock in these as they are truly AMAZING! The only water my sleeves see these days is when they're in the washer! The puppy thought it might be cute to try and take off with one of them, and he's now up for adoption! ;)

Snow? & Getting My Hair Did!

First and foremost, I'm bitter. Yes, I am so bitter. Sacramento was inundated with news briefs yesterday stating it was going to snow this morning, which is highly rare for us. The last time it snowed in the valley was 8 years ago, and that was still a good half hour away from me. I had heard that it was going to happen in the wee hours of the morning, most likely 1am. So what did I do, I stayed up. No snow! I woke up this morning, took little monster aka the puppy out and what do you guess??? NO SNOW! Huh? I thought I was right and the meteorologists got it wrong again, BUT then I went on facebook and sure enough my friends had pictures of their homes with a light dusting, and one friend who lives a half hour away had tons of snow! As much as I hate being cold, I was willing to put up with the freezing temps in order to see snow falling. It's supposed to be even colder tonight, but I haven't heard if we'll see white poweder. If I hear right, you can rest assured that I am pulling an all-nighter and will have a beautiful picture of snow! I'm sure those of you in the Midwest and East Coast are laughing right now. ;)

Ok, now onto my hair! LOL So about 6 months ago I had a HORRENDOUS haircut. It was so bad I had to wear a bobbypin to hold my gothic sized bangs up, I had to use hair paste to hold down the inch long top layer, and that's not even half of it. I bless the wonderful lady who tried her best to fix what was left of my hair! Now that I can laugh about it, and the longest layers are down to my shoulders it's time to do some upkeep! I wish my hair was all one length, but since it isn't I'm going to most likely have to cut it in a bob. BUT I have some ground rules-

No touching of the bangs
Did I mention NO TOUCHING of the bangs????
No layers
and lastly no touching of the bangs!

Thankfully my hairdresser, Christine is awesome, and I trust her completely. I guess it took getting a horrible haircut to find the one person I completely trust with my hair! I spent this weekend sending one of the best friends a girl could ever have, Hey Missy hair pics, and I think I've settled on Rihanna's bob cut. :) I will post pics at the end of the week!
