Up to 85 % Graphite drilled
May 14, 2012 DELTA, BC, Canada – Logan Copper Inc. (the “Company”, “Logan Copper”, “LC”), (TSX.V: LC) is pleased to announce the acquisition of a third Graphite property in Quebec.

This new property, the Carheil Graphite Property (Carheil) was acquired through Quebec’s Gestim system. Carheil encompasses approximately 5,400, 100% owned, contiguous acres with no NSR or work commitment attached.

The Carheil property is located approximately 280 km NNW of Val-d’Or, QC and is approximately 120 km N of La Sarre, QC. Aurizon Mines Ltd.’s producing Casa-Berardi Gold Mine is located approximately 19 km south of LC’s Carheil property. There is an existing road crossing the property which leads to the BHP Billiton Ltd.’s past-producing Selbaie Zinc Mine which is located approximately 20 km east of LC’s Carheil property.

Mr. Thal S. Poonian, President and CEO of Logan Copper commented “LC believes that the Carheil property has the potential to become its flagship graphite property. We look forward to verifying the historical results and defining the project potential”.

A percentage (6.67% or 360 acres) of the 5,400 acre Carheil property was formerly explored by Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. (Noranda). In August 1975 Noranda completed a geophysical survey covering approximately 300 acres of the Carheil graphite property. Noranda completed two diamond drill holes on the Carheil property in May of 1978, hole one was lost in overburden while hole two is reported below. Both holes were located within the surveyed area.

According to historical records, Noranda drilled hole number 2-78 to a depth of 497 feet.

Diamond drill core log, report number GM33862 returned results as follows:

57 – 227 feet about 5% graphite

240 – 425 feet – 20 – 60% graphite

428 – 453 feet about 85% graphite

The hole was drilled at dip collar -55o and core size was AQ.

The non-43-101 compliant geophysical survey report filed with the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources, report number GM: 31366, reported the following.

Magnetic Survey Assessment Data
“The instrument used was a McPhar M700 Fluxgate Magnetometer.Readings were taken at all of the 100’ stations. The usual diurnal and datum adjustments were made and the corrected results were plotted and then contoured. Som 355 (base, sub-base and line) stations were read in the period August 4-12, 1975 by personnel of Noranda Exploration Co.”

Magnetic Results

“The magnetic suggest a formational strike of 125o.There is one closure inside the 1000 gammae contour. This extends from about 1550N on Line 16E to about 1500N on Line 20E.”

Horizontal E. M. Survey

Assessment Data

“The instrument used was a Geonics EM17 Horizontal Loop. Readings
were taken at all of the 100’ line stations. Some 245 of these were taken concurrently with the magnetic work by “Noranda’s” “crew.”

E.M. Results

“Three conductors were located.

These are: -

AA. This intermittent conductor possibly extends across the grid.It is rather weak in amplitude and the conductivity is only fair.On Lines 12E and 16E it lies on the north flank of the magnetic closure mentioned above. The strike is approximately 125o.

BB. This conductor may be traced across the grid. The amplitude and conductivity are good to excellent especially on Lines 8E, 12E, 16E, 24E, 28E and 32E.The strike is as above

CC. This conductor has fair amplitude and conductivity. The apparent strike of 60o is rather puzzling unless one assumes the conductor is caused by a fault or shear.”

Conclusion
“Conductor BB should be drilled on Line 16E.Sufficient footage should be allowed to cover the suggested conductor width of 150’ and the possible
intersection of conductor CC.”

Although the historical data should not be relied upon, the Company views this historical data as relevant and a significant indication of the projects mineral potential. This property will require considerable further evaluation which the Company intends to carry out in due course.

LC’s technical team, led by Mr. Roger LeBlanc, P. Eng, Geo., will review the available data and commence exploration of the Carheil property as soon as possible.LC’s goal is to obtain a 43-101 compliant resource estimate for this property.

Any data regarding historical reserves, resources, or results
cited herein as historical are not compliant with National Instrument 43-101-Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101″) nor current unless otherwise specified. They are derived from historical documents and represent that at sometime in the past the then current operators undertook an estimate of the size or metal content of the deposit based on economic factors that existed at that time. If they are included herein, it is for illustrative purposes only and should not be relied upon as factual.

Investors are cautioned that a qualified person has not completed sufficient work and the information has NOT undergone rigorous geological review and QA/QC testing by a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101.
About Graphite

Graphite is a polymer of carbon that comes in three naturally occurring forms – flake, amorphous, and lump. All three are found in metamorphic as well as igneous rocks, varying by grade, particle (mesh) size and moisture content. Graphite exhibits a number of characteristics, which make it a high value industrial mineral with a broad range of applications: it is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity, is resistant to strong acids and thermal shock, is a lubricant, is refractive and has the highest natural strength and stiffness of any known material.

The commodity price of natural flake Graphite has steadily increased to as much as $3,000 per tonne from $694 per tonne in 2009. Industrial demand for graphite is growing at approximately 5 per cent annually.

Of the 1.1 million tonnes of worldwide graphite production, 800,000 tons (73%) comes from China where the closure of a number of natural graphite mines is reducing world-wide supply. Also, the government of China has imposed a duty of 20% plus an additional 17% value added tax on exports of graphite causing increases to prices for consumers.Consumption of graphite continues to grow rapidly through increased use in ion batteries, carbon fibre reinforced plastics, and carbon alloyed metals. Furthermore, additional demand is anticipated for use in fuel cells and the construction of pebble bed nuclear reactors.

Some examples of uses of graphite are:

1. An average fuel cell vehicle will use 80 kilograms of
graphite.

2. An electric car will require 25-50 Kilograms of
graphite,

3. Pebble Bed Nuclear Reactors require “3,000 tonnes of
graphite at start-up and 600 to 1,000 tonnes per year”.

China has one operating prototype of a Pebble Bed Nuclear Reactor and has firm plans to build 30 more by 2020.Researchers at West Virginia University estimate that “500 new 100 GW pebble reactors will be installed in the US by 2020 with an estimated graphite requirement of 400,000 tonnes” (annually).

Uncertainty and the volatility that followed during calendar 2011 shook the very foundations of investor confidence. Hedge fund managers witnessed one of their poorest performances on record, and financial markets gyrated when recovery plans stalled and the European debt crisis escalated into a higher stage of dysfunction. One industry that was hit particularly hard was the mining industry, where chaotic commodity prices wreaked havoc across the globe. Volatility appears to be the new form of stability.

Canada is a mineral-rich country with the world’s second largest known oil reserves, behind only Saudi Arabia, and mineral deposits that constitute a material proportion of global mineral production. It is the world’s leading producer and exporter of potash, and top-ten producer of gold, iron ore, uranium, nickel, and copper. So goes oil and minerals, so goes the “Loonie”, the familiar euphemism for the nation’s currency.

The Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”) lists over half of the public mining company stock offerings and is the home to many of the world’s largest mining companies. The Canadian mining industry has a broad international presence, as evidenced by the global activities undertaken by TSX-listed firms, and a majority of global mineral related projects were also located in Canada. Canada is positioned as a world leader in mining exploration, and the TSX handles nearly a third of the world’s mining equity value.

Mining company stock values tend to trail commodity price trends in the market, but, after a mild recovery in 2010, most firm valuations were beaten back in 2011. Stock returns for five of the major players in the TSX are presented below:

All five entities staged a recovery in 2010, but following the first quarter of 2011 when the global economic recovery sputtered, shares for these mining companies plummeted, some faring much worse than others. As economic activity picked up again and the European debt crisis was “papered over”, these stocks rebounded, only to come under recent pressure when China moderated import demand for basic commodities.

Is the worst over? Are these companies poised to resume their upward trends? The industry is in a consolidation mode, a condition that typically favors cash-rich companies bent on deploying a mergers and acquisitions strategy. These five firms are some of the largest market cap companies in the industry, and annual cash flows from operations as a percent of revenue equal or exceed 30% in all cases. A brief synopsis of each company follows, along with their “cash flow/revenue” ratio in parentheses:

Barrick Gold Corporation (“37%”) engages in the production and sale of gold and copper. The company has a portfolio of 26 operating mines, and exploration and development projects.

Goldcorp Inc. (“44%”) engages in the acquisition, development, exploration, and operation of precious metal properties, primarily in gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc.

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (“42%”) produces and sells fertilizers and related industrial and feed products primarily in the United States and Canada.

Teck Resources Limited (“34%”) operates as a diversified mining, mineral processing, and metallurgical company, involved in exploring, developing, smelting, refining, safety, environmental protecting, product stewardship, recycling, and researching activities.

Cameco Corporation (“30%”) operates as a uranium producer, supplier of conversion services, and fuel manufacturer.

Investing in mining companies can be a very risky endeavor, but for those investors that understand the various development phases of a mining operation, research can deliver significant rewards. The present market favors larger entities, and these firms all have fundamentally strong balance sheets. As central bankers print more money, mining companies should benefit in the long run

VMS Ventures CEO,Rick Mark, remarked: “We are pleased with the results of the pre-feasibility study and how closely it compares to the PEA completed in December 2011. This demonstrates the robust nature of the Reed deposit. First production in Q3 – 2013 is good news for VMS shareholders. We will continue to add value to the project by evaluating trade-off studies, not included in the pre-feasibility, with Hudbay’s mining team and remain optimistic about adding tonnage down dip at Reed. For those bullish on the copper price in 2014, and beyond, the cash flow projections are most encouraging.”

Canadian Penny Stocks to Watch for the Week of March 6-March 12

With financial experts predicting that Canada’s housing market is preparing to dive in a way similar to what the U.S. market did in 2008, it’s time for the savvy investor to put some money away in a well-diversified, low-cost portfolio likely to do very well in the near future. Diversification is the strategy that is most successful in the long term, so you’ve got to start somewhere, even if you’re starting small with penny stocks. Metals are doing extremely well this week, and commodities like this are always good to help round out a portfolio.

Ur-Energy Inc.(URE-T 1.11)

Ur Energy has a property on Lost Creek which has just been analyzed, and mineral output is up above expectations. Ur has also acquired new properties recently, and the buzz is that they will soon be announcing positive analyses of those properties as well. Good news could push the stock higher.

Hemisphere GPS (HEM-T 0.88)

Hemisphere GPS is gaining ground steadily, and has been for the past year. It’s losses are down since last year, revenues are up, and this one looks like it could gain well in the long term.

Dacha Strategic Metals Inc.(DSM-X 0.47)

Dacha is in a good sector for long-term stability, and they have announced that the value of their Rare Earth Metals inventory has decreased about ten percent since last year. The result is that this stock is a little undervalued now, and likely to bounce back, resulting in a gain for savvy investors who jump on this opportunity.

Northern Iron Corp (NFE-X 0.10)

Another metals company is an excellent pick today; Northern Iron Corp has released results of a drill analysis, and they are in the middle of developing a zone rich in iron over half a kilometre wide. This is excellent news for the company’s iron inventory, profits, and stock price. Since Northern has been trading at year lows, the time to buy is now before prices rise again.

Cerro Resources NL (CJO-X 0.12)

More good news from Cerro resources! In keeping with today’s general theme that metals are a good investment, Cerro has announced that results from 11 new drill holes at the Namiquipa Silver Project are positive. This large silver ore system has already resulted in huge profits for the company, and looks to continue to do so.

Williams Creek Gold Limited (WCX-X 0.38)

Gold is doing just as well as silver today. Not only is Williams Creek Gold expanding and staking claims on new, promising sites, but they have entered into an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in two of its claims from New Gold, Inc.

Marathon Gold Corporation (MOZ-T 0.69)

Marathon has also announced some very positive drill results. The Leprechaun Gold Deposit on Valentine Lake in Nfld has revealed high quality gold deposits spread over a fairly wide area. This is certainly set to boost Marathon’s stock price.

In my search for undiscovered penny stocks, I found a very interesting pharmaceutical company that’s helping people with liver and lung diseases, named Pacific Therapeutics.

I discovered they use already approved FDA drugs and combine them with other compounds to make new drugs that treat these liver & lung diseases.

The company announced Clinical Trials with their first drug.

I don’t know if you are aware but to have a drug enter clinical trials takes many years, maybe 7-15 yrs. A lot of junior biotech companies’ compounds rarely get to clinical / human trials; it’s a long and expensive process. This junior is in the clinical trial stage which is amazing.

Generally when biotech companies announce government agencies’ approvals and or results from clinical trials their stocks usually go up in value substantially.

The clinical stage is much closer to commercialization than preclinical, making it more attractive with less risk.

There are 21 million shares outstanding and the stock is relatively an unknown to the market and it has the potential for rapid growth and gains.

Pacific Therapeutics Corporation Details

Pacific Therapeutics Corporation (PT: CNSX) a Specialty Pharmaceutical Company is focused on the identification, development and sales of drug candidates to treat diseases of the liver and lungs caused by excessive and progressive tissue scarring, called fibrosis.

Strategy

Pacific Therapeutics’ business and drug development strategy reduces risk, time and the capital costs of developing new drug therapies for liver and lung diseases caused by fibrosis. By combining existing approved drugs that have already known safety and toxicity profiles, the company eliminates the inherent risks involved with basic pre clinical research and animal testing.

First Drug Candidate

Pacific Therapeutics’ lead drug candidate; PTL-202 is set for Phase 1 clinical trials in 2012. PTL-202 is a combination of drugs that have been approved by the FDA to treat diseases other than fibrosis. PTL-202 is being developed by Pacific Therapeutics to treat a progressive lung scarring disease, named Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). More people die of annually IPF than either prostate or breast cancer. IPF is estimated to be a $2 billion market opportunity.
On July 12, 2011 Pacific Therapeutics engaged CRBIO (Clinical Research and Biosciences http://www.crbio.co.in/ of Hyderabad, India to conduct a clinical trial with PTL-202 in a drug to drug interaction study in humans. CRBIO is the clinical trials a division of RA Chem Pharma Limited., India. http://www.rachempharma.com/

Second Drug Candidate

Pacific Therapeutics’ second drug candidate, PTL-303, is also a combination of drugs, one of which has been approved for human use in Japan. PTL-303 has been shown to be effective in the reduction of molecules that contribute to the development of diseases including, liver cirrhosis in humans. PTL-303 may be developed as a treatment to reduce the severity of progressive diseases like chronic liver disease.

Chronic liver disease which may lead to cirrhosis of the liver is responsible for over 1.4m deaths annually (WHO, World Health Report 2004) In the US chronic liver disease is among the top ten disease related causes of death (CDC, National Center for Health Statistics, 2004). This market is estimated to be $3.0 billion.

Taking a look at Canadian Penny Stock Picks for February 27-March 4 2012, the mineral exploration and energy sectors are doing well, as they have been for previous weeks. As an added bonus, many of this week’s picks are seriously undervalued. As any serious investor knows, it’s a good idea to buy low and sell high, and these picks, despite currently trading low, have all shown promising new developments that are sure to put them back on top of the penny stock game.

Yangarra Resources Ltd. (YGR-X, 0.55)

Yangarra is part of the lucrative Canadian energy sector, and its stock is essentially “on sale” right now, because even though it is trading close to its lowest price of the year it has announced an excellent comprehensive plan for future development. Their current production volumes are up 37% from last quarter. This one looks like it has nowhere to go but up.

Aquila Resources Inc. (AQA-T 0.51)

Mineral exploration is such a hot industry right now, especially inCanada.Aquilaresources is also trading at close to year lows, and has just acquired a new project (Five Mile Lake Project) which is a promising development.

TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (TNP-T 1.32)

This company has been troubled of late, but announced a letter of intent to sell off its Oilfield Services business for well over 150 million dollars. This development will likely cause a rise in stock prices, since the money will go to paying off the company’s debt and putting them back on solid financial footing once more.

Honey Badger Exploration Inc. (TUF-X 0.08)

Speaking of solid Canadian mineral companies, Honey Badger Exploration is trading close to year highs. They have announced positive findings in the geology of their projects, and it is likely that they will likely be developing new supplies of gold or semi-precious metals soon.

Rusoro Mining Ltd. (RML-X 0.11)

Rusoro Mining Ltd has recently completed a feasibility study, and it seems as though their Choco mine will be able to expand to produce 20,000 tonnes per day. This increase in output will obviously increase revenue and profit, and hopefully, stock prices. Rusoro is another stock that has been trading near year lows, which makes it an excellent buying opportunity.

Goldrush Resources Ltd. (GOD-X 0.17)

Goldrush Resources has 18 new core holes, and 6 have been analyzed with favourable results. New gold will be pouring into Goldrush’s coffers soon, with stock prices sure to fair well also. If the report on the remaining 12 core holes is also favourable, this company’s fortunes may be set to skyrocket.

Zecotek Photonics Inc. (ZMS-X 0.60)

This company differs in a fairly large way from the others on the list today. One of Zectek’s subsidiaries has launched a lawsuit for patent infringement which could prove to be lucrative. This subsidiary owns the patent on a special substance used in medical scanners, and if they can prove in court that a rival company is infringing on their patent, their fortunes, and stock, could go up.

We’re coming off of the Ontario Family Day holiday, and savvy investors are itching to get back into trading after a 3 day weekend. Let’s take a look at some penny stocks with the potential to explode:

Tanzania Minerals Corp. (TZM-X 0.22)

This minerals company is doing extremely well for itself lately. Canada’s diamond industry is getting more and more popular worldwide as conscious buyers choose our “non-conflict” diamonds over ones mined to fund wars and terrorist acts. Tanzania has 14 diamond drill holes and is in the process to expand to gold, as well. This is a good choice if you want exposure to hot commodities.

Hunter Bay Minerals plc (HBY-X 0.21)

Diamonds certainly seem to be on fire right now, and Hunter Bay just signed an agreement worth 5000m of diamond drilling. Snap this up before March 31, because after they start drilling, if they find a rich vein this stock is sure to soar!

Largo Resources Ltd. (LGO-X 0.29)

Commodity penny stocks seem to be a good bet lately. Largo shot up over the weekend, and it looks like this might be a good buy to get in on, before it rises too high. Largo is working internationally to acquire undervalued properties, and has developments in both Brazil and Northern Canada.

Freegold Ventures Limited (FVL-T 0.73)

Freegold Ventures, recommended in this space last week, did see a surge in price up until Friday. Although it experienced a sharp drop on the weekend, don’t despair. They have released last quarter results and news is positive. Expect this one to keep moving up.

Reliance Resources Limited (RI-T 0.24)

More gold, but this time from an Indonesian exploration company. Reliance has recently unveiled that Andrew Wilson will be the new director of the company. Wilson has an established pedigree and should bring increasing good fortune to the company and its stockholders alike.

Alexander Nubia International Inc. (AAN-X 0.09)

Alexander Nubia has the rights to drill and develop a rich vein discovered in the Nubian Shield in Egypt. This shield has deposits of various minerals and precious metals, and could be Alexander Nubian’s big break. They have verified that they are drilling a VMS deposit and have indicated a very positive future.

Tucows Inc. (TC-T 0.78)

For all you techies out there, Tucows is a small but growing Internet Service Provider. Revenue has increased 19% over last year, and income is steadily rising. As people get sick of the “giant” ISPs that take advantage of customers, Tucows is poised to surge ahead.

Lately the trends seem to be gold, diamonds, and to a smaller degree, tech. Tech has a lot of room for profit, but can also be disastrous, as well. Commodities are generally more stable and add an element of security (although nothing is a sure thing) to your penny stock portfolio. Happy investing!
