Our last two events have seen the Dalston basement transformed into east London's take on Ron Hardy's Muzic Box, with an untouchable atmosphere and the party people jackin' to the sounds of 80's Chicago house ‘til the small hours. Having spent 2011 busying themselves putting on parties for international brands and artists including Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti's Hideout, Matthias Tanzmann's Moon harbour imprint, Grecian marvel - Cavo Paradiso and also putting on Rhythmatic only parties along the way, the team are ready with 28BLACK to close their third year and begin their fourth with yet another bang. Mosket are a duo of 2 South London producers that have been creating quite some buzz in the online world. They have gained wide recognition with their self-released EP Knock Turn All / Rack It & Bounce. Now the duo are back with their second release that reminds me partly of Koreless and partly of Joy Orbison. So it can only be the good stuff. Brilliant atmospheric bass music with haunting vocals and obsessive laid back basslines.

Strongly recommended.

Rudi Zygadlo is a name that might have escaped you last year when he launched his debut album Great Western Laymen although he got raving reviews from the like of The Fader, Clash and FACT. The situation will soon change with his 4 track EP that will soon see the light of day on Pictures Music. Further down you get the pleasure of listening to Variously Made Men a track so blissfully quaint and with such a familiarity to it that makes me think about Hot Chip but also Beirut and a bit of Chromeo.

I will be writing a few lines here just to fill the space because no one knows anything about this guy. His name is Ifan Dafydd (pronounced ee-van da-vith) and he is going to release its debut single No Good on the 15th of August, on vinyl only.

What we know so far:

His tune has been aired on Gilles Peterson's show without any extra info except his name

Jamie XX, Sinden and Oneman love him.

He sampled Amy Winehouse in his really strange James Blakesque song No Good.

After googling his name for a bit I came across the theory that he might just be James Blake which doesn't sound too far from the truth. What is certain is this is no young, just-discovered producer who happened to make it big in a very short period of time. These things don't work like that unfortunately.

So I will leave you with his 2 videos. Yes, he's got 2 already.
