Right, look in the pdf for the mod.
They admit that it really doesn't make a big difference.
It all comes down to driving style.

And if we do 2x fuel, we will be pitting every 15minutes, not very realistic.

That's an old version, the new version is raced by Bob and Taxi and should be well balanced.

But hey we shell out 1000 euros for a pc, and then load up something straight from a PS2 game. When there are tracks that look much nicer. If you have to stair at it for 1 hr, I want it too look nice

Just try the Osella for a race. See how you get blown away by other cars

All cars are 100% identical, except for their engines. And therin lies the evil of this mod. Some cars explode others are super slow. Not to speak of their total unrealistic differentials and other stuff. Put on max wing , and you will still win all the races. But that's just my POV. I think 67 is much more fun and much more closely matched.

But hey if you want to run it feel free. Just don't expect much from me, stadings, stats or whatnot.

If this mod had realistic physics, that weren't so full of holes I'd be all for running this mod. But we have had 2 leagues so far. And all they showed to me how flawed the mod is.

Would be an option, although keeping your car on track for an hour can be seen as a challenge as well.

Do these race sreally need to be an hour long!!Wouldnt it be better to have two short races? These cars are boringish at the best of teims let alone on this Teretonga place!Just a view from a new person, hour long races means I wont be racing this.

Have only just sarted on this group and with this mod but I love it!It is very involving and superbly realistic for me of the era I started watching F1.I dont know of any issues or glitches other than cars all have same sounds, other than that they drive fine and are a real challenge.I have tried f167 and hated it, so would not race those, been there done that and shouldnt we really be moving on from a 15 year old game!Yes I am new here and new to the mod so thats why I vote yes.

My choice would go to the 911 number 306 (same as last season), 'cause it seems the Pork is faster than the Ford, atm, unless there's some additional tweak to make them match to one another.

Obsolum, did you actually try the calluster-boosted version of those cars ?

I did some brief testing and my personal preference would be the shorter Castello Circuit. It's a nice flowing track which offers plenty of overtaking possibilities and it's not too long. Laptimes should be somewhere around the 1:20 mark I think. The Circuito di Milano is longer, with laptimes approximately around the 2:20 mark and a few extra corners that don't offer much overtaking possibilities.

The most challenging part of both configurations is the loooooooong fast left hander leading up to the start/finish straight. It's no easy task to take that one full throttle, I'll tell ya that! I reckon we'll see many spins there as the back end is prone to step out when going over the subtle bumps/dips in the track at high speed. No doubt some setup changes will cure (some of) that.

Also be wary of the armco barriers, they'll send you flying and spinning through the air 9 times out of 10 if you hit them at a reasonable speed.

One more question, though: which 911 will we be running? The 2.8 or the 3.0?

If you hit a wall with those things the race is pretty much over anyway. And only once on the entire season I wished to have a reverse gear and that was in some very narrow monaco like roadtrack

The car does require very different driving style than a "normal" car. Lifting the gas doesn't mean oversteer in this thing, it just starts to understeer The more you treat the car like a bitch, the better it handles

100% damage and a short race or two.

Too bad the textures are ASS on the laser scanned one. Layout is same, bumps and elevation are more accurate on laser scanned version.
