American Birkebeiner Training Program (Training Period 1)&lt;br /&gt;
This training plan is designed for multi sport master skiers interested in participating in the American Birkebeiner and other marathon races. Simple workout structure will provide anyone with the basic frame work to maximize training time.&lt;br /&gt;

Training Period 7 (October 12 - November 8) - will be released on Monday, October 12th. &lt;br /&gt;

In Training Plans:&lt;br /&gt;
- We will begin to blend the two programs (max strength and power-veloc¬ity strength) together. Explosive strength and plyometrics is at the top of the strength pyramid. Distance training remains specific and volumes increase during period 7.&lt;br /&gt;
