Hand in Peace at Berlin Wall

In honor of the 20 year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, I'm sharing a photo of 'a hand in peace' where an East Berliner reaches his hand through a break in the wall to shake our hand. I was visiting my fiancee for three weeks in late 1989 and we rented a car and drove to Berlin to witness history!

Trespassers Beware!

Trespassers shall be spit upon. No barking, No biting, only a spit that hits its mark. My dad use to raise these Llamas [Oklahoma Panhandle, 2004]. Unfortunately they liked to eat whatever they could find and he had some trees that just did not go well with their digestive system and he lost two or three of them, so he had to stop raising them.

Hexagonal Sphere

In October 2002, on my way home from work between 7-8pm. The exact time and day still eludes me. I seem to have a hard time remembering. I approached a stop sign at the corner of Rust St and Flushing Ave in Maspeth, Queens, New York. I was in my work van at the time. There was a road intersecting from the left. I stopped and looked to my left and saw this object, from east to west, at what seemed about 80-100ft. It appeared the size of a large orange held at arms distance.

The object was silent as it passed by. As I saw it approaching, I opened the van door and stood in the step wheel well to get a clear view. It was made up of hexagons butted (as in the drawing) -- dark hexagons, slightly separated and what seemed like hot red coal in between and separated about 3/4 of the way back, with light emanating from it. The object glided silently and seemed to pick up speed as it traveled along Flushing and Metropolitan Aves, and then disappeared in the distance. The object was round, not as oval as my drawing.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Supernatural Object?

I took this photo behind a historic restaurant in Castle Rock, CO (on 01/2008). I was shooting 35mm film out of my old Minolta on a tripod. I took three consecutive images, this photo was the second frame. The objects in this photo were not on the first or third frame, just the second. I did not see this object. Not many people can make sense of what it may be. I was hoping you or your listeners may have an idea.

Shanghai Rocket or UFO?

I took this picture around 4.29 pm 11-4-09, Shanghai,China time. I was on Beijing Road, Shanghai. I have no idea if it was a rocket or any unidentified flying object. No one seemed to bother or saw whatever it was.

I am in a band "Weddg" from Big Rapids Michigan. We had a show at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids Michigan on Oct.30th. My friend Rohn K came to take pictures and the attachment I sent is a picture of the singer "Germ" and the bass player "Willie" but we noticed there to be a weird black figure above the crowd looking at Willie. Just wondering if someone wold like to analyze the picture; maybe take a closer look to see if they can see what it actually is. Rohn K said there was nothing there when he was taking the picture...

Atmospheric Anomaly

On the evening on Oct. 22, 2009, My wife and I were on our back deck of a very lovely day when we went into the house to eat the evening meal. About 5:15 p.m. I went back out on the deck and immediately noticed this. If you look quite closely you will see an airplane in the center of the photograph (it is a plane because I heard it and waited to snap the photo when in center). This is the first time I have ever seen anything this massive, dark and with this length. I'm guessing this is not so abnormal but oddly beautiful. The formation slowly widened and disappeared in 5 minutes.

Rising Vault

My sister who lives in Belmont, Mississippi sent me the email below and the attached pic. She lives across from a cemetery and frequently walks her dog through it. I thought you and the C2C audience might enjoy her story on this Halloween weekend...

Believe it or not, this photo was taken at the cemetery by my house. We have had so much rain this year that this vault has erupted right back out of the ground. When I looked down into the hole on the side, the water is just a few inches below the dirt. It's creepy how it's tilted. It's been reported to the funeral home that buried this man about 5 months ago. As of today, it has risen out of the ground even more as we had an inch of rain today. I was told there are 5 other vaults doing this as well, but I can't see them as I walk the dog. Imagine coming across this as you're taking a stroll with the pup!

Unknown Pod

While camping at Kerr Lake in western Virginia (9/20/2009) we found this pod attached to a root at the water's edge. I have no idea what this could be. I have tried to research this but have been unable to find anything like it. It did not appear to have any eggs inside and was quite solid - not filled with water - but more like a solid jelly. The patterns shown in the photo were on the bottom when in was in the water. If anyone can identify this I would appreciate it.

What Happened to These Spiders?

10-25-09-- Our town sponsors a Haunted Walk each October and we are allowed to use an abandoned house to create a Haunted House. I first thought that someone was putting plastic spiders in the basement but these are actual dead remains of spiders. I have no idea what happened to them (at least fifty). When one is crushed, the white material just turns to dust. I never saw any live spiders.

When I found this conjoined pumpkin at a local grocery store, it immediatlely sparked the idea for the face (or faces). I know it looks a little crude, but the "Laugh Now, Cry Later" homage was a perfect fit. Now, I just hope the moose around here keep their hooves off it until after Halloween.

Message in the Plates?

On Friday, the 13th of October in 1967, I was involved in a head on motorcycle/car accident that cost me my left arm and nearly my life. After recovery, I noticed the licence plate from the bike was, in reality, a prediction of what was to have happened. The licence was "413T." The accident was recorded to have happened at 4 minutes to midnight on the 13 day of the Tenth month in Ontario in 1967. (All the info on the licence plate)
Four decades later, I was filming a short documentary about riding a bike with an arm missing. The camera man noticed that the dealer plate on the loaned motorcycle was shockingly similar. Starting in the centre of the plate, 4 decades later and following through, came 413T again. The dealer had never seen the original plate and was astonished at the coincidence. I never rode again.

A "Swimming" Bee

I was looking for some shots for my next class assignment, while driving down into a dried up river bed, and said, 'I just don't want another same old photo of mountains and trees.' Then something caught my attention and drew me to an area where there was a pool of water near the edge of some trees. I couldn't help but notice that a bee was on his back, making rings with the beautiful fall colors reflecting in the water ringlets. After taking several shots, I couldn't help but feel sorry for this poor guy. So, I got a stick, fished him out, set him and the stick on the bank and got 3 more shots before this bee flew up and hovered a few inches from my face and then he buzzed away... as if to say thanks for helping him out. For a moment I felt the oneness of creation and I'll never forget this experience.

Forbidden Science City

On my recent visit to Maui my wife, Doris and I made the 34 mile trek up to the top of Mount Haleakala. The summit is 10,023 feet above see level and home to Science City. Off limits and forbidden to the public, Science City is an astrophysical research complex the supporting the U.S. governments tracking of over 8000 objects is Earth orbit.

From 6000' to just near the summit we traveled through dense clouds on
winding roads, only breaking through the clouds the last couple hundred
feet and rewarded with astonishing clarity above the clouds, on the
summit. We plan to return next year, this next time later in the day to
watch the sun set and star gaze into the night.

From our hotel at Kaanapalli Beach I listened to Coast to Coast AM via
KHVH 830 AM in Honolulu on my Grundig portable and with the assist of a
long external wire antenna occasionally pulled in faint signals from KFI
640 AM Los Angeles (my home listening station)...

Last week's Shroud of Turin/DaVinci show was typically fascinating...We have a lot of apples this year, and I have taken to making folk art heads (involving the slow drying of a carved apple). New Orleans: Series of Three

While walking down the street in New Orleans, I stopped in the middle of the street and took a multi burst of pictures all with flash to get a contrast between the French Quarter and the newer section across Canel Street. It was 11 pm and I am unable to explain the picture. I was using a Casio digital 6 megapixal camera.

Criminal Trespass & the Day Bat

9/2/09-- When I first drove up to the local coffee shop in my town's strip mall, I saw these two guys standing next to the Liquor Store, facing the wall. My first thought was an act of public urination, but I noticed one of the guys was our local UPS man. And I knew that was out of character. When I got out and drew closer, the scene became even funnier when I noticed both the sign about Criminal Trespass and, the small bat [inset] clinging to the stucco wall. So I had to take a picture of my own.

October 13, 2009. I was inspecting a house as part of my job. When I entered the house, I could smell something was wrong. As I opened one of the empty closets, I could not believe my eyes. I saw a pattern that first looked like wallpaper but it is actually a multi color pattern of mold on an otherwise white piece of drywall. Apparently, this house went into foreclosure and the air conditioner was not run all summer. The humidity built up and this is the result. Next time I'll bring a respirator. Yuk!

This photo was taken during summer 2009 in Port Jefferson, Ohio. As you can see in the picture, it was snapped during the day with sun shining. The bat stayed around and was seen several times during the day. What a creature... I live on the bank of the old Erie canal... trying to get some pictures of my owls. They are hard to catch!
